I’m glad I found this series! Coincidentally, the entire series thus far I have had the “scrapes” section from Quad Logic in the back of my mind, which is what I am currently working on. I plan on putting these video tips to use before changing the heads on my drums and seeing if I notice a difference in the second year of playing them. Right now, the Pinstripes are scuffed and blurred and most of the wear is in the playing zone but there is also a lot of overshoot. I don’t even want to talk about the plastic residue on the rim between scrape zones. Looking forward to better playing and having the head wear patterns as physical proof.
I kinda wish I had this channel when I was starting. While my scrapes don't always have much rim, and I can make them sound clean with practice, I got into a weird habit that causes me to shake when I play them, which isn't too bad until I put the drums onto a harness which causes them to noticeably shake. It's not like they're turning, just looks like they're jiggling a little. On the bright side I probably won't be marching quads this upcoming season so I got time to fix this XD
Good question. Usually people get it from other people, not sure if there are better places to acquire it. But we'll try to put one up on our website. Thanks!

You are a great player and have a good approach. Great detail in your lesson.
All this really helps as a beginner
