I do love the details. What about chemistry details? I see it often in my test game and I think it's happened in my posted game too, Benton and/or Etherea getting hearts around their thought bubbles of each other and I think doing the finger wiggle "hot to the touch" sign?
Sim 1: *trying to make juice* Sim 2: *obnoxious cheering* Sim 1: *bombastic side eye* Sim 2: *immediately stops* Made me laugh a lot harder than I care to admit 😂😂😂
1. That picking up a member at 11pm felt more like kidnapping😂 2. The ghost playing with the cowplant for the whole visit is a big plus, because sims can sleep in peace, if they didn't see the ghost before going to bed😅 3. Yay for the veggie smoothie and detoxication, as I like to call it! 🥰
1. That scene is so over the top 😭 it’s peak Sims 2 honestly, this is why we love the game 2. Good point 😳 3. If only vegetables were this powerful irl, I would actually eat them
Sims 2 has soooo many details that I wouldn't even be surprised if we are still finding new ones 50 years after its release. Also congrats on 20k subscribers!
So the sim I was playing was feeding his alien baby and I had him cuddle the baby right after and I swear I heard that damn baby burp. I was caught off guard by that 😭
i didn't know about the Brandi Broke house location. no wonder i loved playing that house they should make a mod for this so that we can play other houses like that. i loved how the vehicles stopped at the other side of the road.
Brandi's lot looks like some kind of cut mechanics. After all, it’s logical: the house is at a crossroads, why not use both roads? The funny thing is that I almost always played in this house as a child, and did not pay attention to active roads at all.
I'm not sure if this has been covered, but when I played the game I noticed that my elder sim would stand and open his arms out calling for his son and would greet each other with a hug. I know sims will greet each other with hugs if their friendship is high, but I've never seen a sim wave their arms in to call them in for a hug. This only happened with my elder sim if their son/daughter/grandchild lived in a different household and he was called over to them.
The Broke family house being a corner lot is something new for me! Possibly a glitch or feature that was left unnoticed so they just left it there. The butler being so multifunctional is rather known to be ineffective one unfortunately haha. I have heard instances he doesn't do everything both a maid and gardener is supposed to do. Ah and the infamous pureed boot!
The issue rather with the butler is when you have a big garden, he'll be completely obsessed with gardening and neglect the house (there's also a glitch where he'll stop preparing food after a few days). So it's better to keep the gardener when you have a butler.
I never noticed that about the Broke house lot. I tried moving it and it seems a bit bugged as it can only be placed at a corner. It would’ve been great if Maxis had included the ability to have corner lots with both streets available including sideways and maybe alleyway car access (rear facing garages) with Nightlife. The front facing garage limitation always bothered me. I’m a building design stickler.
Now I wonder if it's possible to create lots like this via mods.. I know that some people put out smaller and bigger lot sizes, they come as premade homes despite being empty. Interesting.
The corner lots can be made with the LotAdjuster on MTS. It even allows for roads on 3 or all sides. Before I knew that I always used to copy The broke house to build own corner lots
One thing I noticed, when I play The Sims 2 - I have played mostly Strangetown, because I love the alien abducting storylines. And when my Sim's were having that, Vidcund Curious ALWAYS came by, and slapped my sims 😄. And whenever they reached max level logic, it also came up. You should try it, if you haven't yet. Quite a show lol.
I just love all the intricate details in TS2❣ You picked some good juices to showcase, gotta love the boot juice, so silly, so TS2 humor❣ I love the strawberry juice, because it helps rid fury (need lots of it with the Pleasant twins...haha). The orange juice helps cure illnesses and colds, but does not work as well as Grandma's Soup (Family Aspiration). Did you know that you could place nearly every item in your inventory from the Secret Society Lot, even purchased items, and sell them off the lot increasing your funds? The downside is it works both ways, never take exams while on the SS lot, as any award simoleans you recieve go into the SS Funds. Also, any changes you make to the SS lot (removing or placing items), will remain in that save file, as future students will either enjoy the benefits (if you make additions), or they will be disappointed. There are certain items that you can buy (most statues), that sell for more than you pay for them. You can ultimately increase the SS funds, decorate, furnish to your hearts content, plus place whatever you want in your inventory, to make both you and any future SS members experiencing the lap of luxury. Also, you can place a DJ booth (preferably TS2:FT, to have dance competitions), and it will spawn a DJ everytime you visit the lot. Most of my SS lots also have a bowling alley. I love adding in crafting stations too. Oh, the afterlife ghost animations in TS2 are just chef's 💋❣ I got scared when I saw the electrocution reinactment for the first first time, it just hits hard! 😢 However, that forever taunting of the Cow Plant is just solid gold❣ One other detail about TS2:U that I love, is the opening drop off cutscene❣ The parent with the highest relationship scores with the teen, is the one to drop them off. In a vanilla game, when playing in Pleasantview, if Mortimer dies before Alexander goes to uni, Bella will drop him off. Last, but definitely not least, Congrats on 20k+ subscribers❣❣👏👏👏
Thank you, your comments very much appreciated! Can always count on you to come up with a super helpful post 🥹 I love how you can mess with the secret society and you gave some really good pointers, could make for a fun video 🤭 And omg, the Sims 2 ghosts are actually so morbid at times!! Maxis did a great job on them :)
@@crazymarq4390 I am always happy to share what I know, and am so grateful to see the appreciation for a game I adore, and eager to learn (still amazed at that headmaster "no dinner for you" trick, you use)❣👏 I don't know if you started your uni rotations yet, but I also wanted to share a few tips. You can always place high value items in inventory before heading off to uni, or once placed, you can invite uni student over, giving high value items to sell or use later. If my homeworld Sims have any career rewards, I pack them and bring with (you can even take the fridge with all its leftovers intact), just remember to purchase another for homeworld, in case you decide to play homeworld family during uni rotation. Try to remember to pack up everything you want back in homeworld, before leaving uni too, otherwise said items will remain at uni (by the way, enough leftovers can ultimately last several uni generations of gameplay), wild eh? 🤭 Not certain I would want to be eating decades old fridge food...lol Scholarships can be challenging to earn quickly, but if you have a sim reach level 5 of the Education Career, the bookshelf reward is so OP for skilling. You can also use cheats to unlock all career rewards, or mods for buyable career rewards. The undead scholarship, becoming a zombie, also works if teen becomes a vampire, which is less permanent, and has less negative repercussions. Once your vampire teen receives the "undead" scholarship, make certain to have Vamprocillin-D in inventory, even if you do not wish to cure right away, as well as a coffin (as you will need it upon arriving, as it is daytime). If you only became a vamp for the scholarship money, once you arrive you can drink the cure straightaway, as that money is already in your Sims funds, and just sell the coffin. If you want to try to play as a vamp (you can use mods for all nighttime classes and exam times), you can place the coffin towards the edge of the lot, for quick access during daylight hours, or you could use mods and cheats to maintain Needs better. Again, always having the cure in your inventory allows you to change your mind, and can ultimately save your sim. If, for some reason you do choose to go the zombie route, just know without mods the zombie state is permanent, and zombies cannot reproduce. You know that your sim will earn the dance scholarship, when your sim is able to "bust a move." When you can perform all tricks for pool, you can earn the billiards scholarship. The "Extraterrestrial Reparation Grant" is easiest with knowledge (primary aspiration), Sims, just bring their aspiration benefit tree (TS2:FT) up to be able to summon aliens using the telescope, or Sims building their science enthusiasm high enough, can also summon aliens using the telescope. All the rest are self explanatory, with the exception of Alexander not being able to earn the "Orphaned Sims Assistance Funds," or any orphaned children (and younger) adopted from the adoption pool (you can use mods to sever familial ties and reset deceased parents, but even then, it sometimes does not change back to their actual "orphaned" status. Just an fyi, all members of the Newson family (bin family shipped with TS2:AL), will always earn the orphaned scholarships, unless you decide to ship off both of the oldest, prior to the children reach teenhood (placing them in the adoption pool). I use aspiration life elixir reward to keep Ginger and Gavin from aging up, until they can build a Servo or Gabriella and Gallagher age to teen. You can also always send 1 teen as soon as you want (but I find managing things better is easier with both teens), to uni, and once another teen can take over the reigns, send the other (they can still start uni together either way). I love the challenge of this family, and I make them all the most OP, earning every scholarship, even without mods or cheats (just lots of skill building, plenty of gardening and fishing, a whole lot of aspiration rewards and exploiting the dating and outing rewards and platinum mood boosts). I love the Newsoms❣

in the recent run in the University, I tried to befriend the secret society members 3 times (3 sims, the dad, then the 2 kids) but to not avail. I am so salty because I am max charisma with out going personality and they decided to be a prick and deny my conversation
The Sims 4 seems to be lacking a lot of little details in the base game that were in the Sims 2 base game like pools, toddlers, cars arriving on lots, firefighters, scenarios, wants and fears and sims reaction to objects which seems to be poor for a game 10 years newer than the Sims 2. Nowadays the sims 4 may have most of the content restored by updates and expansion packs but it is still inferior to the Sims 2. how about compare the Sims 2 base game with the sims 4 base game (on launch).
@@victorpaesplinio2865 Sadly I don’t think there is. There are a couple of corner lot builds on Mod The Sims so you could download them and demolish everything, it’s a bit tedious though
@@grayhairs6292 I’ve looked it up and that’s not how that mod works. From the mod description: “The way the game works by default, when you hire a butler he will ask if he can fire the maid, gardener, etc. Once you say yes, you can't change your mind later. He will keep firing new staff. Under this mod, he will ask again if you hire new employees. Once you tell him not to fire the help, he will never ask again.” The dialogue is a vanilla feature, the mod just alters its mechanics.

Yep, you did hear the baby burping sound, a neat little touch in TS2❣

What are you trying to say with that Veronaville beginning??? Are you going to make me cry?
Needed a nice background 🤭 but yeah, the Veronaville series is coming some time in the near-ish future too :)
Nowadays the sims 4 may have most of the content restored by updates and expansion packs but it is still inferior to the Sims 2. how about compare the Sims 2 base game with the sims 4 base game (on launch).

wow i had no idea about the cornered lot, do cars come from eihe side of it or is it still always the same one?
Could be wrong but I’m pretty sure they only come from the same road (the one on the right)
i didn't know that about brandi's lot, do you know of any mods or anything that replicate that lot type?
@@ciaran7559 unfortunately no such mods exist afaik :(
Is there any mod that unlocks this corner lot? It would be great for creating custom neighborhoods
@@victorpaesplinio2865 Sadly I don’t think there is. There are a couple of corner lot builds on Mod The Sims so you could download them and demolish everything, it’s a bit tedious though
what song at 7.56 ?
so true
Keep it up
Thanks man, I’ll keep trying my best ☺️
Amazing
butler asks to fire is a mod, isnt it?
It's not
@@crazymarq4390 but in original game he just fires them without asking. thats why we have a mode "Butler Asks To Fire" by cyjon.
@@crazymarq4390 aaah ok

Wow, i've never heard about the Secret Society before
@@cherry722 I’m glad you’ve learned something new from this video :)
Uhhh yes lets go hope everyone is doing well. and for those who aren't doing so well, good luck and lots of strength. It took a while for me too, hang in there, not necessarily for others, but for you.❤🦸🏼♀️
I've already checked when your video is coming out today (but I wouldn't be mad if you postpone it, sometimes life is more important)
I'm looking forward to it anyway. A nice end to the evening.
best wishes to your dear community. ❤🎉
You’re so sweet omg 🥹 I hope you’re doing well too!! 🫶🏻
@@crazymarq4390 Yes, thanks for asking. I have the weekend off for once hahaha and I'm using it to renovate. I'm doing pretty well at the moment. I hope you are too.
@@maggydiez9261 awesome, sounds like a nice, productive weekend. I’m doing really well too, the entire week has been pretty much perfect 🥰
