A snapshot of our visit in the quaint village of Tosh in Himachal Pradesh, located at about 2,400 metres (7,900 ft) on a hill near Kasol in the beautiful Parvati Valley, surrounded by lush green & snow peak mountains. Tosh is considered on of the hidden gems of the mesmerizing Parvati Valley. This village is one of the best getaways in north India, peaceful and views to die for !!
With its gradual terrain and the waters of river Parvati flowing through its bosom, the Kasol - Manikaran - Tosh trek is the go-to expedition for all adrenaline junkies. Tosh has also become quite popular recently due to its close proximity to the famous hippie town - Kasol, making Tosh the last hippie village in Parvati valley. It is popular among treckers & backpackers, looking for an escape from the humdrum of their chaotic life. Tosh is also famous for one the most popular the trek route here, Kheerganga treck. Other picturesque trecks from Tosh are to Malana , Kutla Glacier, Kalga, Pulga & Chalal.
Also popular for its apple orchards & cannabis (marijuana) plantations, the tranquil village of Tosh is just another example of the unparalleled natural beauty that Himachal Pradesh holds within its bounds.
Around 22 km from Kasol, the Kasol to Tosh trek can be taken up from Barshaini - a beautiful hamlet which is also a trekker favorite located in the midst of Kasol and Tosh.
