IMHO Sean Hurley is one of the best out there right now. Love the minimalism of his left hand movements along w olde skool chops underpinned by a wealth of theory and experience.
Why must you respect the look? Literally looks like every other mumble rapper/TikTok creator... Could use some originality if you ask me also his playing sounded like ass IMHO.
I got mine a week ago. Got the dark night finish, couldnt resist, finally pulled the trigger after the desire didnt fade for a few months. It's my first and only precision (I am mainly a j bass player) and I am absolutely in love. The action is nice and low, the tone is warm and full (rotosound steelwound strings), but gets nice and aggressive when I turn on the gain. The pups and bass's natural resonance make for great versatility.
They invented the modern commericial electric guitar and basses anyways. meanwhile the newe4, more modern basses out there probably take on all sorts of new intricate designs. 😊
To the folks that think $1500 is too much for this, smart phones cost $1000, a Toyota Corolla LE starts at $19,600, Average running sneakers $100. Buy used if your budget does not allow new, but dont expect discount prices for new American made products. Pricing should not be a surprise if you have bought anything in the last 5 years.
actually it really differs from individual to individual. more often than not those with budgets lower than $2K will think that this is going to be ex, when in reality, they haven't seen vintage, custom shop and the ultra series, that those are way more than $1.5K.
Nothing? They sound more even across the strings than the old vmod pickups to me. They're also a bit warmer. Check out Empire Music's Pro I vs Pro II demo: ua-cam.com/video/GxDt-iES5qM/v-deo.html
@@SonicXRage I just looked into it. Interesting that they made the bass side alnico 2 pole pieces larger and flush to the pickup cover, and the treble side alnico 5 seem unchanged. Appears to have done the trick.
Just curious if anyone in the comments Had or Has one of the early 2000's American Fender P-Bass "Standard" Series.. Or if you don't own one maybe remember playing one?? The American Fender Jazz Standard Series is what I believe I had around 2005.. Seems like I really liked the American Standard Series.. I remember buying my American Fender Jazz Standard Series at Guitar Center in Indianapolis in 2005 and I believe Brand New I paid $1,500 I think. I no longer have it but I have several pics of me playing it. Lol So anyway lol, Does anyone know if these American Profesional 2 are close to the old American Standard as far as Quality build and products, and obviously the Tone, and Playability, the feel overall, and also the Necks.. Sorry ya'll that's a lot to ask for lol.. I'm super curious about these Profesional 2.. Can't decide between possibley one of these P-Bass (probably brand new) or if it'd be better to look for a Late 90's-Early 2000's American P-Bass.. If anyone is willing to share their experiences and opinions with me that'd be awesome!! 🤘 I've never got to play one of these or even see one! So whichever I buy it'll be online with not getting to play one. Anyway thanks ya'll!! 🤘
talk about expensive, some of us know that $1.5K ain't overly expensive, just a tad bit pricey. want to talk overly expensive stuff, that's the ultra. not the professional.
Dude, that's not fret buzz. you'd hear a more sitary sort of unpleasant sound if it were buzz, and no I don't think any guitar shop in the right state of mind would showcase that sort of quality for their own branding.
Hey, that guy from Vertical Horizon! AKA John Mayer's bass dude - a fine player, but man, I'm unimpressed by any of these tones for such a classic bass. To me, a P-Bass should mostly be picked anyhow, it's how you get that traditional sound and the aggressive attack. I'm thinking the amps had a lot to do with it - I've heard much better tone out of Ampegs, SWRs, MarkBass, etc. Sound is far too dry
D Class and Neo 🤢 plastic tone with crappy scratchy sounding transients. I’m sure you’d have better sales with all valve amp and a cab that doesn’t blow away in a light breeze.
most of the cash probably goes to the really good finishes and the good pickups I suppose. and maybe branding. but apart from that, I think pro II would be better suited for musicians with the higher budget and can afford it v

Chris Goma ( the last bassist ) really blew me away. That performance captured me. So great
That last guy is dope. Love his playing, and you have to respect that look. That's commitment.
Mono Neon? Idk which last guy?
@@pancakeswithbutter4767 that’s Chris goma

Thanks for the love, Eric! 🤘
Sounds phenomenal in Maddie Jay’s hands, her low end tone is fabulous.
Chris Goma is dope
Fender bass guitars are the gold standard of bass guitars.

Last guy wins, color, groove, style.
Last guy’s playing is legit.

just say you're biased
Dude definitely works for fender
Yea, awesome, this my dream bass
The bass is awesome but they did nothing to improve the vmod pickups. I put an emg gzr in my American Pro. No regrets.
is that active?

agreed, vmods are trash
My dream bass guitar.
The second one should be a Minecraft soundtrack
I’m sooo exited about it. Ordered one and just waiting anxiously 😉

Beautiful
Bring American Standard back 😢
Nothing wrong with jamming on a Preci in jammies.....
is that last part a full song or something? Please tell me it is
First ! Now you have to gift me that
Sam!!!!
Yea, looks nice and all but its so expensive for what we getting.
Better to just get a player series and upgrade the pickups.
Best bass for the money Fender has out now is the MIJ Boxer P Bass.

he kinda looks like Paul McCartney
you mean the first guy, Sean Hurley? yeah wouldn't be surprised
The last guy?
@@debomb721 yeah the last guy...
For 90% of us a player series or the pro 2 will be sufficient for anything we want to do with it.
okay that third guy's guitar was a ll CLANK CLANK so maybe next time don't drop d
OK Grandpa 😒

V-Mod II split-coil pickups suck
It is missing one string?!!
Too much money for this...

Just don’t dig this tone.
Me neither . It is all wrong .
P Basses are cool but they are a one trick pony. The Jazz Bass is superior due to it's versatility.
