Very glad to be at the 1st place with the Gatekeeper! :D Thank you for the effort you put into this channel, great high quality entertaining reviews! And yes, The Parlour is going to be great too! :)
I agree, this channel is great, with some surprisingly high-quality production value. And Stockholm17- those cards are awesome as well. Good job, and please keep ‘em coming.
Honestly, this channel has been one of my favorites of 2018. Whenever I was curious about buying a new deck, you were the go to channel to see if it was quality. Thanks for all you do, and have a happy 2019!

Thank you, GentlemanWake! It's a great pleasure to watch your videos and a great honor for Arabesque to be among the top 3 decks of your year's list :-)
Good morning Gentleman Wake, in the last year (has it really been a year or close to a year already?) that I have been hooked on your reviews, I would be lying if I said that you introduced me to a single deck or designer, actually I think that in all this time i have seen only one deck I knew of before I saw you review it ... Like Lady Wake I'm shocked that so many decks existed and how far the deck industry has come (in just the last year) ... as always it's been a pleasure watching your post and a greater pleasure spending the year with both of you ... May you and all your loved ones have a 2019 full of love and wonder ...

When I first came to this channel I was unsure of what to expect because it was just a random suggestion but after seeing one or two videos I was blown away by the way that u reviewed the decks and picked out every little detail. I love ur content and ur reviews and you’ve introduced me to a LOTTT of new decks that I now own in my collection so thank you for everything that you’ve done this year. Good luck in 2019!!!!

You have introduced me to a number of designers I was not familiar with, but one is Jaspas and the New Deck Order. Great decks. I am agreeing with you on the top three decks of the year, but not the order. I do agree about Jackson Robinson being the deck designer of the year. What an amazing production of great designs this year. Overall, it has been a great year for playing cards and your channel has been a great place to get a front row seat to many of them. Best wishes for a happy New Year for you and your wife. I'll see you on the flip side.
I am incredibly happy to have found this channel. As someone who has only recently become fascinated with playing cards, it is wonderful to see so many creative and awesome deck designs. I am looking forward to all of your future videos.
Amazing video yet again! I started following your reviews in October and you introduced me pretty much every deck since then. One of my favourite decks of this year has to be the arabesque one. It has some of the most amazing designs and tuck cases I've seen.

You've introduced me to so many great decks this year (including that gorgeous Tigers deck). In particular, your video on the Kings Wild Sherlock Holmes set showed me to the Baker Street Editions, now the absolute favorite deck in my collection.

Aww you can see the Gentleman’s eyes legitimately start to well up when talking about his dream of making playing cards. What a cool moment! Congrats buddy! I don’t remember how I found the channel but I have been a subscriber since the first episode I saw. The presentation is flawless and theire are so many cool decks that I didn’t even know about. I think the biggest is introducing us to Jackson Robinson, especially the interview you did. Here’s to 2019! Hope it’s great for you and the Gentleman’s Lady!

You introduced me to quite a few new decks and designers this year, but my favorite has to be the Dead Man's Deck. The combination of design, handling, presentation, and history have made it a jewel in my collection.
This channel has introduced me to both Oath and Stockholm17 playing cards! I used to be just familiar with Theory11 playing cards, Jackson Robinson's, and playing cards being sold by Art of Play.

I am a magician and I love cards... But where I live there is no way i can know about new cards without youtube. Other youtubers show deck review very less but you upload consistently. Congratulation for your deck....💕💕

Thank you so much for such a great year of playing card reviews! I must agree, the House of the Rising Spade was my personal favorite deck of cards for 2018, as well as the deck of cards that introduced me to this channel. Ever since, I have gotten to see some of the most interesting and artistic works in the playing cards industry featured here, introducing me to likes of Lotrek and his Arabesque playing cards as well as many others. It was a great year for playing card releases, and I look forward to what next year brings! Keep up the great work!

Wake, you pretty much got me into collecting playing card. I’ve always been interested in card magic. Buying trick from penguin, vanishing inc and etc. But never paid too much attention to the playing card itself. As a person who has a degree in fine arts, I really appreciate the way you review card decks, how you critic art design and the overall design of what appears to be your living room, the lighting, color, pattern they all match perfectly. In terms of the question, like I said you introduced me to card collecting. I Brought over 30 decks this year since I started following your channel. Jackson Robinson is definitely one of my favorite artist, brought his Maduro, Arthurian, legal tender and kings wild tigers. I’m only able to grab Maduro’s limited edition, as all the others limited edition are sold out. Kings wild tigers is one of my favorite deck, and I’ve been looking for the limited edition for quite some times. It’s really generous of you to give away a deck this rare and amazing. Happy new year.

Yes, you're one of the channels that awaken my cardist head 😅. With that said, seeing the Arabesque deck is made me enjoy playing cards again, with the arabian art style touching my childhood and reminding me memories that I had when I was living in the middle east.
Did you know Lotrek has actually donated to the prize giveaway for the UC's DOTYs?? You could win a signed gold Arabesque deck AND Sanctus deck from him personally!! how cool is that?!?! I never knew about most of the decks on this channel till I found it today. I have ordered the maduro gold edition because, well, I could not resist, what a beautiful deck and so well made. 10/10 from me
I didn't really know much about cards until I started watching your channel. I started collection with theory 11 decks. Thank you for all the incredible content

I am very glad I came across your channel in 2018. You introduced me to the Ravn playing cards and I actually ended up backing her new decks on kickstarter. I also must mention that your very well written and concise reviews actually helped me pinpoint and tweak some aspects of my own design work. Thanks for the great content!
Best channel for playing cards with out a doubt. You really got me back into collecting playing cards and showing me there's a world of many different designers and so many ways a deck can be made! Awesome channel and would absolutely love to win the Tiger deck :)
@@TheGentlemanWake I was watching a Chris Ramsey video, and I forgot which video it was but one of your videos popped up in the autoplay, watched it, and I subscribed. Loved the content and eventually when I buy my own house I want to have a old fashioned room like you that you make your content in, for books and my deck collection. :)
These are some of the sickest decks I have ever seen. I just came across your channel recently and I cannot stop watching your videos! Thank you for introducing Jackson Robinson to me, he's definitely someone whose releases I will have to start keeping up; those designs are just unreal. I began collecting decks a few months ago, so I missed out on some of these gems. Anyway, thank you for such great content!! Happy New Year!
I am fairly new to playing card collecting and cardistry so naturally I haven't heard of Jackson Robinson but after looking at some of his decks online, I am blown away! No wonder he was your 2018 designer of the year. I immediately ordered a deck of Kings Wild Tigers after watching this video and I also want the dead mans deck. Loved every deck in the video. Keep up guys!
Thanks for the chance to win an awesome deck! I'm new to collecting cards, and your winner of designer of the year is one you introduced me to, Jackson Robinson. Such amazing work, the guy is so creative! Love the channel!

My favorite were the King Wild Tigers! I never saw this deck but it looks amazing and I love the style!! You have showed me so much decks that I never heard about, really looking forward to future videos!!
The review for the Dead Man's deck was the first video from your channel that I've watched. Thanks for introducing me to this particular deck of cards.
I first learned about Stockholm 17 and The House of the Rising Spade deck on this channel. The court card artwork for that deck is the most impressive and the best I have seen.

I just discovered your channel and I love it! I shared this video with a few friends. I love Jackson Robinson’s work! I never seen so many beautifully designed cards!
My favorite deck on this channel was a the Subrosa deck!! What a great design. It reminds me of playing cards with my grandparents and bring backs a lot pf good memories
You sir have introduced to me Bocopo Playing cards with that captivating Luna Moon Playing Card video you made!! I thank you for your weekly content this whole year and I wish the best for 2019!

wow this is what I need. Some awesome deck reviews and learn about a couple decks I haven't seen before! Thanks man I appreciate very much what you do on this channel. I am a newb and Im so regretting not knowing about and seeing your deck review videos before. My favorite is the -DEAD MAN'S DECK- I love the bullet hole that goes through the middle of the entire deck!! AND IT HAS AN OLD BALL BEARING BULLET INCLUDED TOO!?! LoL thats such a representation of the old western type movies with them big oL revolvers, they had bullets just like a ball bearing too. Cant help but be reminded of the old rifle's they used back in the day with front loading single shot very similar to how big cannons are loaded and fired ;-) Thanks again for sharing your top 10 deck's of 2018, I am looking forward to what 2019 brings us! Happy New Year Gentleman & Lady Wake!!!
You introduced me to many new decks this year and to Kings Wild Project and I have to say thanks for that. But, maybe the most important thing. You've made me look different to the cards I have. Your attention to details and the way you translate it to words are so impressive that made me fall in love again with some of the decks I previously owned. HAPPY NEW YEAR

Congrats on designing and releasing your own deck in the coming months! Your videos are always top notch and entertaining. You helped get me turned on to the kings wild shorts which I luckily got into this December!
I hadn't the slightest idea there were so many decks available. But now have a long wishlist due to your reviews and frankly the amount of love and passion into the design you've shown. Dead Man's Deck is possibly my favorite that you've introduced, but not the only on my list that you had reviewed.

I only started collecting playing cards midway through the year, so there were plenty that I didn’t know about. After I watched your review of the Bicycle Autobikes, I took your advice and was able to find a red foiled deck at my local Barnes and Noble! Thanks for that! And thank you for all the great content you put out last year. I’m looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the coming year!

Well you've just introduced me to the Dead Man's Deck! Love the asthetics and the bullet hole in the centre is just such a nice touch to finish it off along with the custom tarnishing on each card! I also can't wait for The Parlour Deck! I hope we can get it here in the U.K.
I'm so happy to see how truly excited you seem to be on your way to having your own deck. I found this channel last year literally a week before ua-cam.com/users/pigcake discovered you on a livestream, recognized your local Target from your video, and hit you up. I wish your channel the proper and well deserved growth in 2019. Do more stuff with PigCake because you, Lady Wake, and Piggy are hilarious together, and seem like genuinely good human beings.
Seems like every time I watch your videos there's a new deck I have to add to my list of must haves, especially anything by Jackson Robinson. Thank you for all the great content

So jealous! Amazing decks Edit: Just reached the end, and i just told you this via IG, but you did introduce me to the planets by Vanda playing cards, and to playing cards as a whole! Thanks for the amazing content and keep it up!
I recently discovered your channel, but I thought I’d go ahead and enter myself into the giveaway. You helped me discover Jackson Robinson. I know most people know of him, but I hadn’t heard of him until I started watching you. You’ve kinda inspired me to start getting different decks, instead of just decks from the mainstream companies. The new deck you introduced was the Maduro Gold Edition, the tuck case alone looks amazing not to mention the cards themselves. Those Arabesque cards look amazing. All of that shine is gonna leave me blind (unintentional rhyme- which also unintentionally rhymed with that sentence lol). Good stuff, as always, my dude.
You introduced me to all the decks you have reviewed, I've been watching your videos ever since theory 11's cards caught my eye at target. I never knew there were so many decks out there but I'm really into cards now and I'm glad I found the channel, keep up the good work, and congrats on your own new deck!

i'm so glad to have followed your channel from early on, and saw how it has grown. i hope to be in a better financial position to support you on Patreon this year. fingers crossed! and yes, i'm saving up for the Parlour KS campaign! to answer your contest question: ironically, it was through your videos that i found out just how great Jackson Robinson's decks are. i'm pretty new to card collecting, and i've, of course, read about Kings Wild and seen its various Kickstarter campaigns, but your video reviews really brought out the uniqueness and beauty of his designs. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I started following later in the year and saw your Ravn review and thought it was hilarious. It made me look deeper into S17 and now I own several of their past decks and, of course, your #1 deck of the year - The House of the Rising Spade! Also my favorite release of the year. VERY excited to see your collab with Lorenzo :)
The House of the Rising Spades has actually been nominated for 8 (!!!) different awards for UC's DOTYs in categories; more than any other single deck - how cool is that! check it out: unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12715&hilit=nominations & unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12803

Stumbled upon your page through my first true love: boardgames. Someone on reddit linked to your video reviewing Roxley game’s Iron Clays and from there I’ve been super impressed at a) the quality of your videos and b) the amazing world of modern cards. I’ve recently ordered the Tally Ho Olive series and can’t wait to play a game of Euchre with them! Thanks for sharing your passion!

Very glad to be at the 1st place with the Gatekeeper! :D Thank you for the effort you put into this channel, great high quality entertaining reviews! And yes, The Parlour is going to be great too! :)
where can i buy the gatekeeper deck ?
I agree, this channel is great, with some surprisingly high-quality production value. And Stockholm17- those cards are awesome as well. Good job, and please keep ‘em coming.
SHAUN FERNANDEZ I think I got my deck on Amazon, but I feel like I’ve seen them on eBay quite a bit too.

Thank you Lotrek! It's an honor to have you watch! Review for another Oath Playing Cards deck coming really soon!

I recently discovered custom playing cards and a shortly after that your channel. Thanks to you I discovered Jackson Robinson and his awesome work. Can not wait for future decks and your reviews! Thanks

You deserve 4.2 MILLION subs... Your quality control is top-notch, and you do a great job of coming across as a chill, relatable guy. Keep it up man.
Ah, man, thank you so much for those kind words! I appreciate all the support! Thanks Remedy!
Best channel for playing cards with out a doubt. You really got me back into collecting playing cards and showing me there's a world of many different designers and so many ways a deck can be made! Awesome channel and would absolutely love to win the Tiger deck :)
Thanks! and Welcome! May I ask how did you find the channel?
@@TheGentlemanWake I was watching a Chris Ramsey video, and I forgot which video it was but one of your videos popped up in the autoplay, watched it, and I subscribed. Loved the content and eventually when I buy my own house I want to have a old fashioned room like you that you make your content in, for books and my deck collection. :)
After your explanation i immediately fell in love with that Maduro gold edition deck. Thanks man!

Amazing! Thank you!
My favorite deck on this channel was a the Subrosa deck!! What a great design. It reminds me of playing cards with my grandparents and bring backs a lot pf good memories
Man I just love your reviews.
You introduced me to Wheels deck and I was new to playing card community and you helped me find out more decks.
You sir have introduced to me Bocopo Playing cards with that captivating Luna Moon Playing Card video you made!!
I thank you for your weekly content this whole year and I wish the best for 2019!

Lindsey Harvey - thank you, same to you! #hamfam
wow this is what I need. Cant help but be reminded of the old rifle's they used back in the day with front loading single shot very similar to how big cannons are loaded and fired ;-)
Thanks again for sharing your top 10 deck's of 2018, I am looking forward to what 2019 brings us!

Absolutely! We've got a lot in store for 2019! El Pig included! Thank you so much!
Seems like every time I watch your videos there's a new deck I have to add to my list of must haves, especially anything by Jackson Robinson. Thank you for all the great content

Dude, I have no freaking idea about cards, but I could watch you shuffle and let them fall together in slow-mo for daaays. Looks so satisfying 😍
Haha, thanks dude. Definitely a niche. This will hopefully be a big year. New collabs coming very soon! Maybe I'll featured on the Leap one day! Haha.
one hundred percent!! and I see you're doing an awesome job on keyword ranking on these videos! So rooting for you big time for crushing it this year haha and would be so pumped to see you on the leap shuffling some decks 😃🙌
So jealous! Amazing decks
Edit: Just reached the end, and i just told you this via IG, but you did introduce me to the planets by Vanda playing cards, and to playing cards as a whole!
Thanks for the great content, I am glad to have discovered your channel, happy new year!!! and all the best for 2019!!!

Hi Jonathan. Welcome! Can I ask How did you find the channel?
You definitely introduced me to some new designers. I bought the House of the Rising Spade deck because of your videos. Can't wait for the Parlour deck.
You introduced me to the Tigers deck. First time I became a donor or invested in a card project before they were even created. It was exciting to be an investor and the cards did not dissappoint. I'd love another deck and keep it sealed as a collection. Love your channel. Happy New Year.
You introduced me to Theory 11 and it is probably one of the best things that has happened to me this year. Thank you.

I was aware of all the decks in your top 10 chart apart from the one that you are giving away. So yeah... I would like to have in on my shelf. Great channel and great content.

Welcome! Thanks for watching Jordan! May I ask, how did you find the channel?
Because of you I started collecting cards this year because I liked how they look just to display cards instead of only buying cards to use them :)

Ah Allan! Thank u for your continued support!
