Nope classic concept stealing, “known by awareness alone” knowing implies a grasp of facts through a process of cognition, Cousciousness is the faculty of awareness , awareness of something... that something being all that which is. Awareness is grasped implicitly on the perceptual level and as as a faculty of an entity , not an entity itself that which is must preceed a faculty to perceive it
There is no awareness in non existence or awareness before existence. That is a contradiction in terms and logical incoherent. Existence exists. All that which is , is. There is no , nothing.
Aristotle’s genius and importance cannot be overstated. He was the foundation of nearly every science for almost 2,000 years. We would be far, far more primitive had he never been born.
The most important in Aristotle(for which he was an inspiration for Rand) is that he discovered that every single man can live by his own reason. It was total opposition to his teacher - Plato who believed that most people are too stupid, and only "philosopher-king" can see revelation about how to live properly. How you can see, these 2 philosophers are the archetypes for 1) individualism (Aristotle) 2) Collectivism (Plato)
The "prime move" idea is from Book Lambda of the Metaphysics, a leftover from his early Platonist days. Read Werner Jaeger's book for more on this point. Also the prime mover has next to nothing to do with the "Jehovah" personality, despite Dr. Aquinas's valiant efforts to combine the two.
Standing ovation, here!
A remarkable review, and a great additional speech by Ayn Rand
I wish I could find this book for digital reading.
God bless Ayn Rand - Love her.
Rational man bless Ayn Rand

I bless Ayn Rand's life achievements!!
“Ayn Rand reacts”
The british thinker George Boole studied Aristotle's logic.
Context is a form of relativism. Be careful.
what 😂
I dont know why Ayn Rand wastes her time wth Americans?
Reality is not two there can be no primacy. "Awareness is known by awareness alone," is the sole irreducible axiom of reality...

I feel like ayn rand gives too much credit to Aristotle.
What do you THINK?
@@davidste60 In terms of applying A is A . Ayn rand was more consistent then Aristotle.
You probably have never read Aristotle.

I agree, but Aristotle believed in God. Rand did not, she is driving us away from Aristotle's reason.
Very true! It seems that she also leaves out the Prime Mover example.

Aristotle would have been the first to reject his physics if he saw the evidence against it.
Aristotle did not believe in "God". He believed in a prime mover for the creation of existence. Probably a remnant from his plato teachings
John Herman Randall was an irrational writer.
