Not too many families in the Cau Dat area. My two uncles and family are the few ramining from the 3 generations there, still growing tea. Im so happy to see this video and witness how much it has changed and how beautful Da Lat has blossomed.
I spent February 2024 in Vietnam. I was able to spend 5 days in DL. I saw the sunrise from the same spot you two did. Amazing city. I will return for Tet 2025 😊

@@tanjiayue3576 we found it quite safe especially compared to the bigger cities like Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi! During the busy hours of the day it can get a little hectic but not bad at all!
in the US I visited the same city like Da Lat that name Gatlinburg, on the mountain Great Smoky mountains, actually I can say Da Lat has much more thing to explore. We need to reserve the beauty of this city for every body around the world can visit.
Pretty sure your dish at the Pho shop was Hu Tieu Bo Kho, which is beef stew with noodles. The banh mi bo kho is served with a baguette in place of the noodles. One of my favorites. And that basket of herbs and leafy greens is meant to be ripped up and shoved into the bo kho (or any other soup dish) for added flavor and goodness. I hope you didn't miss that. I'm in Da Lat for the first time as I ride a motorcycle from Ho Chi Minh City to the Ha Giang Loop way up near the Chinese border. I'm watching your video for ideas. Thanks!
Hi guys! Great vid, thanks for the insight on Dalat. In relation to the sunrise, did you guys have to buy tickets to get into Cau Dat Tea Hill? I have been searching online but there’s not too much info on this. We’re aiming to go check it out tomorrow morning. Thanks !
No we didn’t have to! The tea hills are everywhere so we could see them right from the road! In terms of the shots when we were walking through them, it was kind of a random tea hill that we saw a couple other people walking around. Best thing is to get there as early as possible to take a look at where the best viewpoint would be!
Hi! Thank you for the helpful video!! I was wondering if it's easy to arrange for transport within and outside of dalat e.g. when you go out to the villages/ cloud hunting. I saw you said you rented a scooter - is that something that is easy to ride for someone who's never rode a scooter before? Do people get rent cars or do private hire (w/ driver) cars? I imagine having your own ride would make it a lot easier to move around outside the city!
For us, riding a scooter here is definitely one of the easier places to ride in Vietnam especially if you leave a bit earlier to avoid the traffic! But with that said, if you'd rather not have the hassle of riding yourself, you can book a private car/tour that goes to roughly the same spots we did (www.getyourguide.com/dalat-l976/explore-the-best-of-dalat-s-countryside-tour-private-car-t531092/?partner_id=WTQXQZS&)
hello, this is video seems very informative for any travelers. Did you cover visiting all of these places in 1 day by bike? thanks to letting us know, good wishes!
The flower gardens are a great choice if you visit during the late spring/summer season so the flowers are in full bloom! As for pagoda’s, the most popular one to visit would be the Linh Phuoc Pagoda which a bit out of town so if you wanted one right in town we would suggest the Linh Son Pagoda!
Hey, great video! Was wondering if you had any issue bring your drone to vn. Or any requirements? And did you bring multiple batteries? I have dji fly more with 3 batteries, going to vn next week and wanna know before I pack. Thanks
Thank you Julia! If you didn’t want to ride your own scooter or hire a private driver you can book a tour! Here’s a link to one we found that fits a lot of beautiful places: www.getyourguide.com/dalat-l976/natural-countryside-tour-t449145/? Enjoy your trip to Dalat! 🥰

Definitely okay for solo travel! If you’re looking for night life and beach head for Nha Trang, but if that’s not your priority then come to Dalat. We so glad we chose Dalat 🥰
Technically you need an international driving permit which you can get with your license but when we rented them, they never asked. However, the police have and can check to make sure you have both of these!
You do need an international licence as well as your home country motorcycle license. The Police will fine you or seize your bike if you argue with them. Unqualified riders are a huge danger to everyone and of course without a licence your insurance is invalid.
I thought the people were friendly and the sights out of the City were pleasant, but other than that I wasn't particularly impressed with Dalat. The drone shots make it look a lot better than it actually is. There are much better places in Vietnam to visit with far more interesting surroundings.
Ugh I hate those ugly wind turbines. And they are not Green by the way, horrible for the environment. Let's hope Vietnam doesn't start building a bunch of those things
they have their flags everywhere you go as if 'they' want to remind the viewers that the country is under their rule, the vcp, the vietnamese communist party. I am so allergic to that in your video..the hammer and sickle flag and the yellow star on the red blood flag..
You should stay in the West and continue to worship French Colonial rule and American propaganda. It's sad you have been whitewashed and don't appreciate Vietnam's independence.
