- Phillip Scott reports on Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley responding to a reporter pressing her about her nation not participating in climate change efforts.
The triggered accusation of "anger" is also just offensive and expected. These people are so short sighted and hope its the duty of the poorer or less established countries to fix their problems. Great coverage African Diaspora News Channel.
Spot on Prime Minister Mia Motley! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾
Prime Minister Mottley is a genius.
This lady doesn't, play she will set you straight. Respect you so much PM.
Oh how I LOVE Mia Mottley!! Thank you so much, TEACH THEM!!!
Well said!
Outstanding response and continue to stand your ground
Great answer Queen 👑 that was a dumb question
wish she was my priminister in jamaica
She definitely wasn't lying.....spoke that thruth!! That's just how these ppl are they ask questions like these but at the root......they were the reason why some of these countries are in the condition they're in today....at some point ill move down there...246!!!🇧🇧
Great response!
Well said
That was epic
The sister was all the way on point and factual 🖤
Everytime poc express the wrongs of the colonizers we are "angry" . We have the moral right but she was articulate and measured in her answer's. Country,s of color are not responsible for global warming, any contributions is out of daily necessity.
She broke it down for her like a Toyota in the junk yard.
This political leader of Barbados is forcing us to think for ourselves rather than allowing others to think for us
Wouldn’t mind if the Jamaican prime minister could stand up to these people the way this lady does.
Respect to you miss Mottley.
I do as well. I’m Jamaican, and very disappointed in our Prime Minister. Maximum respect to Prime Minister Mottley.
this lady has bigger balls than bro gad
He’s so compromised
Im Jamaican British, All colonial (commonwealth/ Empire) countries should denounce 'The Monarchy'as Prime Minister Mottley did.
They gave the country nothing post slavery.
Did anybody see the disgusting display by Prince William & Kate in Jamaica last year!? a throwback to the 50's and insulting!
@@alimantado373 Agreed, Troy. I’m still puzzled as to why they are anything at all to us. The time has come and gone!
She's not angry...She's articulate and truthful...These journalists aren't used to these type of direct answering...no obfuscation...Just truth.
The remark about her being angry was just a pathetic attempt to elicit an emotional response to substantiate the angry black woman trope. The journalist (?) failed miserably
@@doreenwilliams9622 Typical gaslighting.
@Doreen Williams
GREAT observation!
I saw that, too.
That is a tactic that yt europeans LOVE to use.
Always trying to throw us off our square…😡

@@blkdragon2010 true....
This woman is a legend with more back bone than most African leaders
Honestly, she _is_ African-- global, aware, _just_ ; it's a universal Movement
She is a sellout and a traitor, research what she did to black people in Guyana 🇬🇾
What else do you expect from a woman? Other than take care of business? If African leaders were mostly female the western world would crumble.
Well played Prime Minister Motley, I'm Jamaican🇯🇲 but support your intelligence, shout out to Barbados 🇧🇧
Why people keep using the word intelligent when they clearly don't know what it means is beyond me. This is intellect here at work, not intelligence
Amen!
Shoutin' back at yuh!
@mandyharewood886, what does that mean???
I love this woman. She always speaks the truth and it has nothing to do with racism or victimisation.
When my Prime Minister said. “Do you want me to answer you?” It’s then I knew, that reporter/interviewer was going to be stunned into silence. 🤷🏾♂️
You are right. I am half Bajan an cayman Islands. When a bajan speak those word to you look out
she was spot on with her answer. God bless her! We need a lot more of our Afro black leaders speaking out to the Europe and the West.
She speaks truth, but rather than acknowledging it, the accusation of being angry is thrown at her rather irrelevantly and irreverently, as if there were something she should have been gleeful about in the way her people had been treated!
I was wondering if someone besides myself had peeped that out. It's what the collective does when thry can't refute the truth. So instead of acknowledging it and admitting that it's the truth. Their ego wants to be right by any means necessary. ESPECIALLY when it's a Black person putting them in check about their hypocrisy.
We are ALWAYS the angry 😠 black woman in the eyes of the heathens, especially when we tell the TRUTH.
Isn't that one of their greatest tactics? Don't they constantly call truth hate speech or say you are a hate group? 🤔
@@mrs.reeves1006 the irony is that they're the most angry collective
@epicsseven7686 It was so glaringly brazenly obvious. She not only insulted the honorable prime minister but also all black Caribbean people.
That's my PM. Articulate, truthful and strong. Come to Barbados and do not be surprise to meet her walking down the street having a chat with ordinary folk. Love her to the max.
You missed the reporter trying to pull the "angry black woman" trope on our PM Mottley. She answered that with dignity as well.
No love we saw that glad PM shut it down

Yep quick to label her the "angry black woman" when her response was well educated, factual and succinct.
Exactly
My PM chew and spit her out..clown-like her
Her response was absolutely beautiful!!! ✊🏿
Why is it when we speak truth, WE ANGRY LOL, Why when we speak on anything the west does we angry
You should be angry.
All we have to do as Blk people is just "EXIST!" and we're always ANGRY to these people. What's wrong with them?! WE ARE THE ONES WHO SHOULD!!! BE ANGRY BECAUSE THE ABUSE AND OUT RIGHT SAVAGERY THAT WAS DONE TO OUR ANCESTORS, AND EVEN US TODAY, IS JUST BARBARIC! WE HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE ANGRY. But, we, the "chosen people," weren't created that way. Sometimes, I wish we were
Yeah, I caught that too - always pulling that one. And Momma Deb above is right - we SHOULD be angry. How in the hell are you not?
I always listen to people when they are angry because anger makes a person says the truth.
I know, and that makes me angry.
It is outrageous that the reporter tried to dismiss her as some 'angry person'. Such hubris 😡
This is the mentality of the western reporters. When you give them a history lesson, they will dismiss you as angry. The prime minister is sublime in her answers.
These reporters are always so condescending and arrogant, I just can’t with these ridiculous people.
Dutch reporter , need I say more, on thier past colonial history
a bit unfair maybe to say but the irony is strong.
@@alimantado373Unfair or not, it fits with their history. You hit bullseye.
My grandfather was Bahamian. She made me proud she spoke the truth and I love when she said angry I’m not angry because every time we speak with confidence and truth we’re angry.
Whenever she speaks, I stop whatever I'm doing and listen to what she has to say. I'm not a Barbadain, but you can't help but stop to listen to a strong Black leader, we have so few right in the African world. PM Mia Mottley gets all my respect, she isn't afraid to speak truth to power, no matter who it is!!!!

I have heard her speak on other issues, and she knows how to analyze the issue and then drive a nail into it to the point that those with questions and criticism walk away with a lost of words. I admire and respect Barbados Prime Minister so much. If that woman would've asked me , If I was angry, I would've responded , So, What If I am. Weren't you angry when the twin tower went up in flames, and that was an inside job.😊
The Twin Towers was committed by very conservative sunni takfiri islamist extremists who have also slaughtered over a half million Africans.

Black Africans sold their black children, brothers and sisters to the Arabs and Europeans, but now the people of the Carribean should stand strong with Africa. Why?
Man oh how I wish Jamaica had a Prime Minister with half the sense of this woman. Our country would be some much better with a woman like this.
Every time a black person points out THEIR injustices, the yt has to accuse and label us ANGRY, as if that is a crime, as if we have no right to feel "angry" as if anger is a threat, as if anger is a word that makes us criminals. It is SO VERY HARD NOT TO HATE THEM LORD. 🙏🏿

Why we have to be Angry when we speak facts and point out their Hypocrisy?!!! Great for Her/Well Said!!!
She’s definitely correct and I strongly agree with her assessment of what has been going on historically when dealing with these people. I’m glad leaders like her are not afraid to spit the truth when asked about certain aspects in today’s time and not adhering to a script given to them by WS. I also like that it catches the WS off guard and they can’t deflect or prepare a response to debunk the the truth, even though you can’t debunk truth with falsehood. Salute to everyone that stay on code, worldwide!💯🔥💥🤘🏾
Thank you so much for bringing this interview to the public. As a Jamaican, I am so proud of the Prime Minister’s response. The Caribbean Community did not create the global crisis and we are doing what we can to help out. She would not asked the US President, Canadian, England or any European leaders that question. As we are called 3rd world countries, they came in especially England and robbed us of the little wealth we had. So happy she cut all ties with them. All this gold and Jewelry that were on displayed during the recent Coronation was taken from Africa and the Caribbean. How dare she asked such a stupid question. She got just what she deserved for the world to see. Continue doing your work. Fantastic job.
