Thank you! I stayed at Hotel Pallotta based upon your recommendation. Excellent choice! One of the other residents asked me if I was on vacation or a pilgrimage. It was definitely a pilgrimage. Great visit. I am older woman traveling alone and I felt very safe and had a great visit.
My wife and I stayed in Assisi for 10 days. It was the most beautiful and peaceful place that I have ever been, especially in the early morning before the crowds arrive.
I don't blame you for staying 10 days....it's how long I've stayed there during travels. Beautiful and Peaceful is how I would describe it as well...and I can't wait to go back!!! Thank you for your message and for watching my shows :)
Thank you for such a lovely message. I'm so happy you enjoyed staying at Hotel Pallotta as much as I do. :) Traveling alone in Assisi is great....I've done it many times! Such a blessed place it is... Ciao :)
Wow....... La Pallotta is my fever Hotel. I was there many time. Last was for my Birthday; on 4th November, 2018.... I know very well the owner, Walter (now is sick) and son Stefano. Thanks for the video !!! :-) Renzo * Ireland. PS: I'm going to live in Assisi soon..... Next visit last week of May next.... :-)
I love it too, my favorite hotel as well! :) ALSO the restaurant is outstanding!! Highly recommending eating there. The food and atmosphere as well as service was stellar!
@@aroadretraveled Yeah..... Years ago the restaurant was very near; now near the Palazzo Comunale in the square. :-) ua-cam.com/video/vWJe0MAgN6g/v-deo.html
I love Assisi and have often over-nighted for one or two nights. But, there are just too many other places in that country to see. I usually travel with American groups, returning to the land of their grandparents, who want to see Everything their Motherland has to offer. I often have people stand up on the bus, look up to the heavens and ask, "Why did you ever leave here?!"
Intro song's lyrics are completly wrong. It's not "venite di stare lassù" (which doesn't mean anything) but "felice di stare lassù" ( which means "I'm happy to stay up there").
It is my dream to spent time in Assisi,i live in the UK and i am 69 years of age, i have a small car and i want to drive this summer, thank you for this information on this great town, if you can help me on the last roads into the town it will be very helpful, God Bless .6th April2017
