If you are traveling through California or traveling along the West Coast and have these questions, join us to discover Malibu and Santa Barbara, California! We continue with our trip along the West Coast of the United States (West Coast) in California.
We present the Complete Tourist Guide to explore Malibu and Santa Barbara California starting with a car trip from Simi Valley, CA crossing the mountains of Malibu, CA; to reach the Malibu Pier. Although we were traveling through California in winter, the weather is very pleasant, reaching 80 degrees at noon.
Malibu is one of the most famous beaches in California and without a doubt its Malibu Pier is one of the most beautiful as well. After walking around and giving them options for where to eat in Malibu, we hit the road again to head to Santa Barbara, CA. If you are wondering how to get to Santa Barbara from Malibu, you will have to take the 1 freeway and then take the 101 freeway (Interstate 101).
The first stop in Santa Barbara was the Old Mission Santa Barbara Franciscan mission, a beautiful piece of Spanish colonial style. We toured the mission, its patios and gardens, its church and the cemetery. The Santa Barbara mission was the tenth mission founded by the Franciscan fathers in what was known as Alta California.
Our next stop was El Presidio de Santa Bárbara State Historic Park, an old Spanish fortress that was also founded to protect the population.
We were very hungry and ready for dinner, if you're wondering where to eat in Santa Barbara, we opted for a ramen restaurant on Paseo Nuevo. El Paseo Nuevo is a shopping center or open-air shopping center that maintains the Spanish colonial style of the 18th and 19th centuries.
We finished our day after dining at Santa Barbara Craft Ramen and watching the Super Bowl on TV.

Es una chulada California para viajar, para vivir extremadamente caro, pero lo es para viajar por el buen clima en invierno.
