Agree and disagree. Some players need a move to improve. Duberry did played in pre season and league cup but tbh he didnt do enough. He is definitely a very talented footballer but to have Saka in front of you who is also young was never easy. Arsenal needed a establish cover to challenge Saka and Duberry was nowhere near the level at the moment. He has to leave to have a better chance and I wish him all the best.

Nowadays alll the academy youngsters wants to jump straight to the first team. Not only Arsenal, every club is facing this challenge. The only mistake Arsenal did is letting youngsters for free,
It has its price, and therefore requires understanding(from both management, n player, plus agents/proxies), and patience(from the players, agents/ proxies). Truth is that it's important to develop(blood) youth(young) players, with a clear path to the 1st team(or sale for 100% profit. BUT, it's equally important to maintain the requisite standards to push for the league title, too(with fans clamouring for the same). This can be achieved by Academy players being given chances to train, be on the bench, and IF possible get some minutes after games have been conclusively won, OR loan arrangements(with good teams) with emphasis on quality playing time(to develop them). To this end the Academy Director MUST have a programme in place, and also cultivate relationships with lower league teams for the plan to be effective n productive. These Academy players do constitute 100% profit(akin Bolagun), apart from incorporating them into the 1st team(akin Saka, Smith Rowe).

This guy was on the bench in a meaningless last game of the season against Everton, whereby we won 5 nil. Arteta couldn't even give him 5 minutes, those 5 minute could have made difference. Arteta just doesn't take risks wth youngsters. Now let's see if academy players are really not good enough, or Arteta is the problem.
Totally agree. There are so many players who are so good in academy and didnt make the step up. Is the same for all clubs. Every clubs will say they have so many generation talents in the academy but how many actually make the step up successfully. The first team level are levels ahead of academy football because you are facing the players who make it past the academy. You will be facing elite Goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers.
