UnderLust_Sins rayon satin and nylon satin are used in macrame by beginners. professionals use jute cotton wool and any twine they think to be useful for the craft
rayon satin needs to be glued in the end , whereas nylon satin can be melted in the ends with a match stick or lighter or burning candle :)) since you want to make toys for pets you need to make sure the thread / cord you are using does not affect the health of your pets if swallowed . good luck
