This is a great quick game. I play it with my 9 year old I also bring it to board game meet ups and play it as I wait for others gamers to finish up their games.
I just broke out my old dungeonquest game ( imported from England) and have been getting back into that lately. I am going to buy zombie dice and cthulu dice soon. thanks for the review, although i dont still quite understand how you know you can keep going or how many shotgun blasts it takes to lose your turn, i guess that will be explained in the instructions.
I didn't notice that thedicetower had a Zombie Dice review. I picked this up earlier today, on impulse, but would have totally done so after seeing this review.
@Tenuki2 I'll try to explain. Every brain you score is a point that you set to the side. Every shotgun blast is a 'strike' that you set to the side. If you want to keep going but end up getting three 'strikes' (From either what you just rolled or a combination of what you rolled and strikes you already have.), then you lose all the brains you set aside that round and must pass the cup to the next player. Tom just got REALLY unlucky and happened to roll three shot gun blasts at once. :p
This is a very short game, but I still did not understood from the video how Shotguns prevent you from scoring. Is it the case that if all non-Brain dice are Shotguns - you lose your turn?
The Sunpouncer Gaming Channel well it's not anything special really you roll two dices (And I guess you would designate a space as a skull for regular dice) three times and if any of those three times you roll and get a skull you lose, in the episode it's less about the game itself and more with just knowing when to gamble
Zombie Dice is Yahtzee-meets-Blackjack+Brain-Eating Zombies Best dice game EVER! I am not just saying that because I placed 1st in my Zombie Dice heat in the first elimination round of the PAX PRIME Omegathon 2010 (a.k.a. PAXWest).
Here's this guy's format of a review trying to sound nice while critiquing it. "Blah blah blah, how many of blah can there be? Blah Blah pretty fun game for the price blah blah"
My wife rolled 13 brains in her first game ever. It was jump out of your seat exciting.
Tom, your 13 point to win in one turn idea is great for solo games!

My family has been playing Zombie Dice for years. Love it.

@hentaisan1 It's South Korea.
"we can only have so many zombie games"... oh if only you knew
Are you in Korea for this review?
Have you played the other version of zombie dice by "Are you afraid of the dark?"
TheKpa11 Haven't heard of this. How does it work?

@Grayhatt It is very similar, just less time involved.
Tom... The new camera looks GREAT!
@ihoppy
We call it Five Thousand, but yes.
saw this game on the penny arcade show. I'm buying these. Nice review
Hey Tom, have you ever played the greatest Zombie game ever, "Last Night on Earth"? I highly recommend this game.
@tsilver33 Thanks for taking time to explain. Now I do understand how this game works. Cheers! =]
Great insight thanks buddy!
So, wait, how many shotgun blasts until you're out? 3-5 is a vague number when it comes to game rules.

Great review! Retro Tom 🧟♂️
Nice review Tom. As much as I love zombie movies and books, most games utterly disappoint. I will pass on this one.
love the dice rolling slo mo, lol.
Sounds like a game some of my friends would like so they dont have to think. Maybe they're zombies...
Classic Tom !
🧟♂️ 🎲
I played this game once and was like '.... really?'

yea simple and it goes well with my friends that dont play board games.
i love zombies, you should do a review on 'last night on earth' it's a pretty good zombie game
@iKirste it must be better than Cthulhu Dice, which is pointless, wretched, and absurd. Cool looking dice tho.
Looks like Farkle...?
no rounded corners. always pisses me off about these kinds of dice games.
I like zombie dice
New camcorder? Great!
wait are u on the roof????
the dices looks like the ones of yugioh
Seems like a watered down version of Farkle?
Seems fun but not a buy for me, thank you for the review.
These guys had too much fun with this game!
