This is a 2 part series on Toldeo Bend with the ACC Crappie Stix Pro Staff. Andy got us all together for 3 days of fun and fishing. Day 1 was a little hard as you will see as I just had a few hours, but day 3 was a good day with Livescope footage. We caught a lot of crappie over the weekend and got to see good friends. Got to spend time on the water with@HookCityTV and @FloppingCrappie just to name a few. Next week gets into the fun with slaying Crappie/Sac A Lait so stay tuned!

What end of the lake do you mainly fish for crappie. i am on the south end near the dam.

Thank you and yeah that fog can go away. I just knew if I did not get out there I was not going to get to fish. It cleared off a little by the time I drove home or I would have been sitting at the dock in my truck!

yes Sir, we had a blast! The best part in my opinion was Saturday night, just hanging out and eating fish, well plus the entire day of fishing together. Next video is Day 2 and it is a fun one!

Enjoyed the video! No doubt you guys had a great time of fun and fellowship. The coldest day of fishing I've ever experienced was with my boys at the "chicken coop" back in the late 80"s. Continued blessings my friend and on this day of veteran observance thanks to all service men and women!!

Great vid sarge ive seen wally Marshall catch some huge blacks outta there always wanted to fish there from vids I've seen.. i ive noticed it is a HUGE lake !
Bro, huge does not do the lake justice. We caught some pretty good sized ones. Apparently there are more whites in the area we were in, but up North is mostly black crappie. The deeper water here held the big whites, but I was looking for eaters mostly, but caught some good sized ones in the next video! Thanks for watching.

Man I'm getting up to par with the electronics still learning you men had better not let me get good at it too....... I've always loved crappie fishing in the spring but I work for myself now lol and have less time to fish

Right on, it is a great lake and the first time I fished it. On the catfish, at least I did not catch 2 goo like one other guy who will remain nameless did! ha ha.
Man I wish I could've fished with you on this lake. TB is where I grew up at my grandfather's camp. You were in the same main cove my boat use to live in.
Ah man that is cool to know that. It was a fun trip. We should go sometime. Only hit one stump and got high centered 1 time. I came out on the winning side there! ha ha. We had a blast. The next video is going to be a good one so tune in on Thursday!

Thanks 👍 I used a combination of 1/8 and 1/16th oz. The Pink were 1/16th only because I did not have them in 1/8th. I like the 1/8th as it sinks along with my weight verses the weight going down first. When that happens it never fails that the jig ends up hanging on the weight and getting tangled.
LOL @ 2:30 I know where you are fishing . That cove has some good fish down that creek by the bridge . Yep stick to them boat lanes with the lake at 167 there are stump and tress everywhere . Also watch for the floaters (logs ) . The "Chicken Coop " holds some great slabs .
But Toledo bend is an awesome place ! When I retire out from this rat race I am moving there !!!
Man we had a great time there. Unfortunately that lake gives you the "Pucker Factor" in most places. We caught some good fish as you will see on the next show but also simply had a good time with each other. We did not go much further than where we were, someone went further into it by a bridge but the fish were not there, or rather not as good. The wind was a little to strong to get into the main lake day 1 so we did not get out there. It is a great lake and I cannot wait to get back out there! Thanks for watching brother!! Make sure Kendal watches it. Would love to see if that is the same area that he fishes. I think he is up North though.
@@AsleepAtTheReel i will see him today. I make sure he watches it. We both fish some places North of the Pendleton bridge. But on occasion there are some great areas south depends on the time of year and what the fish are doing.

Yes Sir, using Bonehead 12 lb braid on a shimano 1000 series reel. Great catch!
What kind of Livescope, you using?
I assume you mean what model. If that is the case I am using a 1222 as my primary and a 1022 as a backup.
@@AsleepAtTheReel I’m looking at the 1022 myself. I realize Bigger is better but in your opinion on the 1022 used mainly for Bluegill and White Perch, will it show me enough?
@@jameskarr5550 Yes SIr it will. I used it for 2.5 years and just wanted to go bigger as I use mine all the time. You will be happy with that for sure. I will also say that I would not go smaller, there is a huge difference in the 9 vs 10 inch. You will like it.
