Lasker was a coffee house player - Bobby Fischer. :D

Playing over this game brought tears of joy to my eyes as FK Young was a pompous jacka$$ that when I read some of his crap, it covered me with a hatred of chess and chess players. Lucky for me that I was able to overcome my bad condition.

I've always thought pillsbury was under rated. I've played many of his games and he was brilliant.

And to think he started playing only at age seventeen! He was very aggressive and attractive player. So creative.this was a good victory against the mighty lasker.

Thank you so much, Mato! Been waiting for you to do a series on Pillsbury for a while. The wait will definitely be worth it! As others have said, he definitely could've been World Champion if he didn't succumb to his illness. This will be enjoyable.
Hope you all have a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving!

Dear sir, the game explained in this video between two great chess player is battle between titans. Defeating the world champion Dr. Lasker is very rare and hence this game can be categorised as supreme tactical and combinations battle. The white moves exposing the black.king and followed by well calculated attack forming mating network and further king hunt must be studied by every chess player. Respect ful salutations to H.N.Pillsbury for producing such a masterpiece of highest standard. Your analytical commentry with guess the move is all excellent. Looking forward for such sessions ahead. Thanks and regards. Dmbhangaonkar.

@1:07 black Knight must capture F3 with check and then black king capture white bishop. Not moving to C2 . Do u agree w/ me ?
