Disney's "no sue" clause in their D+ contract should be viewed by the judge in the same light as, say, disclaimers in contracts for equipment rentals that state the renter gives up the right to sue even if they equipment they've rented fails due to the company's negligence. The company can put that sort of language into contracts if they want but it's ultimately pointless because it doesn't supercede the laws and regulations that require a company maintain basic safety standards. Such clauses are just in there to muddy the waters, obfuscate, and possibly discourage lawsuits from people who don't know better.
PSA: Do not pay to hate watch Snow White. Ironic enjoyment is still enjoyment in Disney's eyes and you are actively funding more of these awful remakes. Disney will only stop if the money stops.
Why would I give money to a company that hates me? When I can watch the reviews by Nerdrotic & Critical Drinker for free on UA-cam and many other reviewers that are more entertaining than the movie itself. I'm not a mindless pixie duster. They're the problem, consume product wait to consume next product mentality for them. 🤣

If all you do is you watch UA-camrs review it and gloriously roasted and sit there and laugh your behind off because you think they’re roasting are funny yet extremely accurate? I have never hated fully boycotting a company more then I hate boycotting Disney, but they leave me no choice. They have betrayed everyone that grew to love them as a family oriented company.
My wife and daughter went on a Disney cruise recently. It is not the experience it used to be: The food was not as good (and they skimped on portion sizes), the service was not as good (except for their room steward and table server), and the support shows weren’t as funny/entertaining. We used to take a Disney cruise at least once every few years. Our next cruise will probably be with someone else.

Shockingly Disney+ has the old Muppet Show and movies and they're just as good as they were decades ago (don't worry, I don't pay for Disney+). I've given up hope on getting any good new Muppet content but the old stuff is pure gold.

I got this point from Andrew at Legal Mindset, but the thing that really hits me for the "cannot sue us" story is that Disney didn't really even need to ever make that argument. They had a much, much, much better argument available in the fact that they do not own or operate the restaurant in question. They are effectively the landlord to it. So that right there really limits their liability in the case. But even so they had to make such an evil argument.
Funny enough, when I went to see Deadpool, lots of families brought their kids to the theatre lol.

With Peter Pan, they made the Indian scene look BORING. The animatronics don't have the look or feel of Neverland characters. It looks like someone accidentally dropped Pixar animatronics in there. I'm not sure WHY they changed it at all. WHAT exactly was accomplished?
It's so sad watching Disney imploding from within, and having people just roll over and accept it. (I'm still so upset over Splash Mountain, and I never even rode it! I was determined to ride it if I ever returned to WDW, but... that's never ever going to happen now because the TRUE Disney is dead as a doornail). It's also frustrating watching people complain about Disney, yet every year they still pay several thousands of dollars to Disney - an evil corporation according to many - on annual passes and Disney + subscriptions. They're straddling the fence. I wish they would back up their words with actions by ditching Disney and supporting Universal, etc.
I think Disney is worth saving, but at the rate they're going... that's not going to happen. They're destroying too much too fast, and too many people are still giving them their money. It's tragic. It really is. I'm just glad I have memories from when Disney was, truly, a "Wonderful Word" that catered to the nuclear family. It was anchored in reality, too.
How INSANE is it that a fond memory of Disney includes the announcements saying "Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls." Everything at Disney is upside-down now. Alice's Wonderland is real.

I was in the audience at the Honda Center - I assure you it was not the entire crowd cheering for Iger. I was actually shocked at the reception he got.
Who’s too say that Disney parks attendance majority of them are for Disney adults and social media influencers definitely not a kids park anymore just look at the live streamers at the park for example and the ones who are marketing it on social media they may have you fool on tv commercials, but we know they wanna change the audience.

The break down of Disney’s parks speaks loudly to financial problems. D23 was smoke and mirrors. Forget about new lands. They need to FIX the broken rides, improve the existing areas. Tomorrow land Ca is a joke. Looks like a giant money laundering scam to me. Disney’s spending hundreds of millions on rehabbing rides like Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain. Yet, the massive construction costs just aren’t visible! An over lay of Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Adventure shouldn’t cost countless millions. An In house construction company obviously makes it far easier for any corporation to make money disappear.
The cruise line isn't going to be as great as Disney thinks it will be....After our last Disney Cruise we said "never again" but after a curious look, the cost is so low that it makes up for losing the Disney "magic" and going just for the family time 🤔

It's an open secret that no one reads user agreements.
You cannot claim that a user agreement constitutes a contract.
All it does is exempt people responsible for their creations from liability.
It's become obvious that Disney World does not want riff-raff middle class in the parks.If you are not quite wealthy, don't enter their gates.
But the wrongful death lawsuit is being reported shabbily. Sure, the Disney+ defense that arbitration was a condition of contract is goofy. But people have missed the fact that the Epcot /Disney Experience ticket carried the same arbitration clause, and (THIS IS THE WINNER DEFENSE) the restaurant was a leasehold, neither owned nor operated by Disney.
A defense attorney is obligated to plead every conceivable defense, or they starve and they and their families wind up on the curb.
It might be useful to remind folks that every one of their credit cards has an arbitration clause, even if the allegations against the bank are for malfeasance/misfeasance.I am quite sure every major streaming service has a mandatory arbitration clause. And that virus protection system on your computer that let a virus in and crapped all your data? Yup.

My family and I was actually at the Peter Pan ride yesterday when it reopened. I agree with them that as an average client I didn't catch the changes made to the native Indians, but it's a shame they didn't understand the reasoning behind why the adult characters being ugly in comparison to the kids in the story.

Arbitration language (promising not to sue) is in pretty much anything you sign up for. Going to an urgent care, doctor’s office or hospital? You will be asked to sign an arbitration agreement. Signing up for a Target card or getting an X-Ray? Arbitration agreement. If you are a member of Amazon, somewhere along the way you agreed to arbitration. If you signed your name for 99% of goods and services, you agreed not to sue them. Next time you are asked to sign something, read the fine print. It’s in there!

The Peter Pan scene they removed was my favorite on that ride. Over the years I’ve taking many photos of that scene. I love the character design of them and they were cartoon looking. They replaced them with more life like looking characters that to me, don’t fit. It’s not even from a scene in the movie. I guess they removed them because we all know that Native Americans no longer wear head dresses, nor do they wear headbands with feathers, ever. Disney, this is not real life, it’s a cartoon. Lighten the F up!
Here is what I don’t get on the lawsuit. I always thought that when one agrees to the contract for a specific service, it is for that service only, not everything under that company’s umbrella. This could turn everything upside down as you mentioned if this is allowed to stand. It’s amazing how Disney decided to handle this too. This is just another reason to completely move away from this upside down a$$ backwards company…

It is something that in years past would not need to be clarified. Disney has become a company where the “interaction” is for the “olders” to recruit other people’s “youngers” into his own adult sex fetishes. This is what Disney emphasizes today. And that’s sick. There none of Walt’s creations have to be removed and destroyed and we don’t have 5+ years of more construction walls to deal with right in the middle of MK.
