Mom used to roast squash, cut in half, buttered all over the cut side, with brown sugar in the cavity. Unpeeled of course, don't chop off the bottom of the cavity or poke the fork all the way through. We usually had acorn or buttercup squash. I remember it tasting pretty good, kind of like sweet potatoes and squash had a baby

I like crooked neck yellow squash but, butternut is oddly bland.
Maybe some people put brown sugar on it?🤷

It is hard to like squash. I love roasted with tons of butter and stuff. Lol. Thankfully zucchini and yellow squash do well here vs the others. Ryan loves mushy canned foods and I’m like gross. Lol. You got this. It’s a challenge! Make zucchini apple pie. They say it tastes great! The laughter in this is infectious!

It is hard!!! Butter alone doesn't hide the squashiness enough for me, but that zucchini apple pie sounds interesting. I've heard you can also make zucchini taste like pineapple...might need to give that a try too! Thanks so much for watching!

I do squash the easy way. Cut it and boil it like potatoes, de-skined of course. Mash it with butter, salt and pepper. 🥰

I love winter squash, summer, including zucchini, allergic. Last year was the first time I put pureed squash in cheese sauce for make and cheese. I HIGHLY recommend that. Nutmeg is tasty with it.
