  • From being a part of the first ever team to row from mainland Europe to mainland South America across the Atlantic, to scaling some of the world’s highest mountains, walking along the most-deadliest ridges and even abseiling into volcanoes, it’s safe to say that former Royal Marines Commando Sniper Aldo Kane lives life at its fullest.
Speaking to a packed Lindsay Stewart Lecture Theatre at Craiglockhart campus, Aldo shared some his stories on the challenges, encounters and near-misses from his varied life so far.
Passionate about adventure and personal development, Aldo also shared some stories of his time working in the military and the influence it had on his outlook on civilian life. Aldo holds a shared emphasis on this area with the University after Edinburgh Napier was recently awarded a bronze award from the Armed Force Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme.
Edinburgh Napier University is extremely grateful to have hosted Aldo and wish him well in his next adventure.

    Huge respect guys.
My current challenge (whilst listening) of cleaning the house before the missus arrives home pales into insignificance...
