I bought the sport trim with the sound system upgraded. It’s really fantastic, I love it. I like the 2025 Forester and the improved sound reduction in the cabinet
We're willing to bet the next Forester Wilderness will also be a hybrid. Hybrid is the new turbo and people have relentlessly cried about "lack of power" out of this engine
Good review. With regard to the Wilderness Edition the current version will continue to be made. Not sure if it will be also a 2025 or stay as a 2024. Subaru says an all new Wilderness based on the new 2025 model will be available next year along and with the hybrid version that will be available for the 2026 model year.
I have a 2020 limited forester, and i love it. I just recently received a letter update for a warranty on the thermal something or other to 150000 miles . Does the 2025 model have the same oops in it also?!
@@janelaplant5780 I’m assuming it is when it comes to that particular part, as for the rest of the engine, not sure. Won’t know until next year. You know the saying, when a new model comes out, never buy the first year, always get years after.
@@janelaplant5780 I particularly don’t like the new big info screen, we rented an outback that had the new big infotainment screens, and there was a glare from the sun when we had the moonroof open. And all the 2025 Forresters will have this big screen.
I disagree. The quality of the interior outweighs the changed look of the front end. The 2023 Forester Premium is a good SUV, but it is not as good as the 2025 period.
My 2 cents on the Forester Wilderness: The Wilderness models are built in the USA, with the exception of the last gen Foresters which are built in Japan and outfitted in Indiana. The 2026 models and onward Foresters for the North American market will be built in Indiana, replacing the Legacy. So I think the Forester Wilderness will return with the American built Foresters!
The 2025 Forester does have improved heard cabin noise. 30% quieter. I did not notice it as much at first, but the tire noise is much lower. Boxer engines, however, just make a lot of noise.
Good review. I'm liking the new design. The colour and trim in this model are nice although I would like one with brighter leather interior. Here in Ireland, previous Foresters didn't have much choice on interior color / trim. I'm waiting to see the 2025 model and hoping it has a decent hybrid.
No. In short, 182 HP is enough to make sure you can exceed every posted speed limit. Are you going to win a drag race? No. But can you get to your destination safely and with good fuel economy? Yes, you can. Most Subaru people want a Subaru because of the amazing awd system and the safety.
I have no idea what a TCV is? Maybe you could fill me in? If you mean CVT or Continuously Variable Transmission. I most certainly did. I mentioned how well it works with the boxer motor and helps it to get excellent fuel efficiency.
Nicely done with the thorough walkthrough. Ordered my Black Sport trim and should have it in 1-2 weeks. Got hooked on Subaru around 2010 when I purchased a 2nd hand Outback, then moved on to a 2010 Forester, then recently a 2019 Forester which we are keeping even though we are adding the 2025. Would have preferred the high end Touring as I like the mags better, but at some point, price needs to be a consideration with choice. Still wish they hadn't kept it so boxy, which is why I selected the black Sport as I find it's the right mix of color with those bronze mags to detract a little from its boxiness. Still, I've always looked to keep my vehicles 10-11 years and the Sport model seems to be well enough equipped not to get bored of, especially with their Starlink system. One of my concerns will be the longevity of that 11.6 inch screen which seems to have nearly EVERY functionality built into it...if the unit goes faulty, you're pretty much screwed, so hopefully Subaru designed it robust enough to be good for life. Looking forward to getting mine and thanks again for this overview.

Thank you for the comment!
Thanks for talking about the stereo. No on else seems to do that.
Thank you for the comment!
Still waiting for 2025's on our lot. Supposedly June!
We already have 2 2025's on the lot. Thanks for the comment!

Nice review, I’m trying to choose between sport or a limited trim
Thank you for the feedback!
So, it is available now for purchase?
Yes, they are! Thank you for the comment!

Sorry, I don't know anything about that. But thank you for the comment!
No, they don’t, they went back to the more reliable version.
@michaelmontemayor6434 so what is the difference? Is it more reliable?

No thanks, I'll keep my '23 Premium. I'm sure it's a great car and all, but imo Subaru totally massacred the Forester with that UAF front end.

I don't know why the Japanese don't improve cabin noise.

It sure does! Lol... Thanks for the comment!
😎🇺🇲 AWESOME VIDEO 🇺🇲😎 KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK 🇺🇲😎
Thanks for the comment!
Still have the three bars running through the dash for head in collision protection? Like my 2014?
I like it except the large screen.
The big screen is nice! You'll like it! Thanks for the comment.
Yes it’s great. Way better than the small. I can’t wait to get it. So exciting
Nice rav4/CRV!

Do you feel as if the car is underpowered compared to its competitors?

As troublesome as the TCV has been 2019-2024 you did not even mention if 2025 still has it !!!!!!!
