Wow, that's a big battery! Aside from the "over-ambitious" worker who let the silicon drip all over the place, build quality looks pretty good. Never hurts when you get a higher-than-rated discharge test either!
@@GavinStoneDIY Agreed! All these manufacturers should be using these PCBs for those connections. I would imagine it would be cheaper in the long run to bulk order those instead of having to have someone cut, crimp, solder and zip tie all the balance leads/temp sensors.
@@GavinStoneDIY Biggest problem I would have is fitting it in the box and getting that heavy beast in there. Sounds like a fabrication job coming up, once I ever finish all these solar projects.
@@WattsMiner I had thought about doing that. My only issue is the panel would be filthy with all the dust I make at work. The trickle charge from driving would maybe be enough I’d hope.
I have 3 EPOCH batteries…top notch, company pretty helpful too. My 12v 105ah trolling motor battery would probably last 3-4 straight days of trolling all day fishing without charge, I have yet to even break >20% usage in one single day…crazy I’m done with Lead Acids
I should have bought the Phoenix 12 inverter for the shed - it has the battery cables on the right side like I need! I wanted a 2000W inverter though. I'll have to see what else they have.
Looks like the Phoenix 1200 is the biggest one that they have in the form factor that I was looking for - bollocks! Have you stress tested the 1200? How long do you think it would handle 2000W?
@@brainstorm3446 oh. Yeah the AH would actually be higher than I recorded. So if anything it would be better than I showed in the video. It seemed like you were insinuating I was hiding something. So it’s probably best to clarify.

Yeah, I like the board they used instead of running wire leads everywhere also.

I could drop one of these on my 16' dump trailer and run that thing for days! Good video, as always.
Yeah I have a 12’ dump trailer and I didn’t even think about that. I may just do that.

@@easttexascowboy257 that’s true. Mine is 2” shy of fitting. So I’d probably go with the 300 ah.
You can add a small cc and a small 60w panel and bingo... never ending dump trailer. I did this

Yeah these seem to be great batteries. There’s a Facebook group on them also. Lots of people using them on different applications.

Both your links go to current connected epoch battery. So victron is a battery now. Lol
Haha. Thanks I’ll fix that.
Fixed! Thanks
@@GavinStoneDIYfixed! Thanks.
I love how UA-camrs always lose the part of the footage that's the most important of the test , very convenient for the sponsor!!
Which part was that?
