3:35 correct timing to think of Rabaconda lol...you are hilarious!
Thanks. Hahaha. Here is a newer one ua-cam.com/video/3nEe83ouhVg/v-deo.html
Wow, I wouldn't wish that on anybody. You go Gan!
mxctime it’s not that bad. I probably make it look harder than it is.
@@highlandcycles yes you do..! It's so much easier if you lube the inside of the tyre instead of the mousse too, and cleaner..lol
What a mess
lewis eyers I am way better at it now and I have a better stand but I still lube the crap out of the mousse and inside the tire. I like lots o lube! 🤣😂
lewis eyers here’s a more recent vid ua-cam.com/video/3nEe83ouhVg/v-deo.html
@@highlandcycles I use the mouse racing mousse changer, same as rabaconda, its quick clean and easy I also use twice the recommended lube applied to the inside of the tyre not on the mousse...
awesome struggle
What kind of stand is that
Have a mousse in the rear and yes it’s the right size for the tire. I had my damn tire spin right off on one side of the rim today after 20 mins on the trail. Why. It’s the first mousse I have installed or had. Did I use to much tube.
Not too much lube. That normally happens if you accidentally break the bead of the tire on install
Is it not easier to do the mousse on the coats machine in the background?
It’s actually not. It slips around on that thing because it has plastic clamps to not hurt street bike wheels.
@@highlandcycles i have a john bean tyre changer I was going to try changing a set of mousses on. Since realised there's not one single video online of a mousse change using a tyre machine. Maybe for good reason...
How many tires do the mousses last?
@@highlandcycles Hey thanks for the response, that’s what I have heard. I’ve been running the tubeless system and keep getting front flats.
What brand is that tire stand?
Jason Cameron that one is from a company that doesn’t exist anymore. But Unit makes one just like it.
@@highlandcycles this is true as long as it holds tire and helps change the tire lol
Just installed the mousse and tire I got from you... it did not go for me, like it did for you in the video. I really hope it’s worth it over Tubliss... That was a major pain in the butt. :)
😂🤣 it’s always hard the first time. It will be worth it when you are 40 miles from the truck and there is no way, no how to get a flat. And when your buddy gets a flat and you can say “I’d help but I don’t have the tools”
just a heads up for new Mousse installers, what nobody shows in their install videos, like this one, is that most of the time your tire bead will NOT seat all the way around with a mousse insert.. some suggest you blow air in to push the bead up to seat, some will say mount it wheel on the bike and run the bike in gear on a stand to force the bead out... most of the time neither of those will work on a stiff walled tire. Neutech will tell you just go ride the bike and after a few minutes the bead "should" seat on its own. Good luck, most likely you have several busted knuckles, a bead that won't seat and are wondering why did I ever buy this stupid mousse :-)
Another heads up, who cares? Tighten down the rim lock and ride. It’s not like it’s going to go flat!
I'm a mousse noob, but got 5 installed now(kids don't even know they are in their race bikes, lol), new bibs with new tires, wow lots of work. I've been using my tire changing stand that's tall, works great for working with tubes or TuBliss. I'm going to find a lower changing stand like you have in the video, I could of used a lower center of gravity to help me muscle the installs, lol.
Thanks for sharing the vids!!
Thanks for watching! Get a good stand and you will love it. The one in the vid is from Moose Racing.
