    Only difference I do in my 4 vert is my HB is on the right, cheats just outside the OT. He runs a post if middle of the field is open, a 5 yard dig & looks for grass if the middle of the field is closed. If the LB doesn’t mirror our HB we’re hitting him.

    We use verts as quick game concept also.. great to see someone else do the same thing..

      Deadly when you can get that ball to the edge 1v1!!!
      You do anything differently?

    Coach, love the stuff. Just something you might look to add. When you pick a side, have your inside WR run a middle post vs 2 high safeties. The backside will be occupied with the other seem route and a good route will be a TD often. Not a tough throw for the QB either.

    Coach, for your 10U and 12U teams, how far from center are your slots and how far from your slots are your wideouts?

    • @CoachLasker

      we try to line up in camp and gauge the QB arm strength then scoot the WRs out until the QB maxed out his fade to the outside guy. The slot splits the difference.

    Coach, have you thought of a communication signal where the receiver notifies the QB that they are going to break it off? I’m thinking a hand signal or something that makes it easier for the QB to see automatic hitch opportunities. This might be especially important for those tweeter decisions where the DB is at that 7 yard marker. Just thinking out loud.

      Hey Manny! Great question. I have had QBs and WRs who didn’t have the chemistry simply just BOTH tsp their face masks to signal it to each other until they found the chemistry. Whatever it takes to make it clear for the players!

    Is this always catch and throw quick game or does it convert to a drop back if none of us are running the 3 step stick?

    Hey coach want to first thank you for all of your content. I’ve based my offense around what I’ve learned from you over the last few months.
    Quick question for you. On your first video that you reviewed 4 verts, you said that if the H was uncapped and uncovered, to run the seam route (approx 4:26 on the Quick Game video) but here you say that if he isn’t covered, to run the stick. Just curious, Have you changed your philosophy on it?

      Hey coach, thanks so much for watching!
      Great eye for detail picking up on that… yeah, I think conceptually it made sense to me to hit the H on the run up the seam but in actuality it’s a much harder pass to complete than it sounds when the picture is cloudy with defenders… Id prefer the guaranteed yards with the potential to break it now after more reps at it lol

      Gotcha! Makes total sense. Again man, I can’t thank you enough for this content. Super helpful!

    What are you using to create these plays? What software or application?

    Great stuff coach! How close vertically would the W have to be to influence the H's route? Say the W is 5 yards back but 3 yards inside the H, would the H still be considered covered?

    • @CoachLasker
      @CoachLasker  2 роки тому

      I would consider him covered as the W would still be in that path if he dropped into coverage. Now if it’s 2 high and the H is sitting behind the W and in front of the FS it’s perfect

    Coach, what’s the split for your linemen at this level?

    • @CoachLasker
      @CoachLasker  3 роки тому

      We usually settle at 2 ft splits, try to get 3 but it never seems to work out lol🤦🏽‍♂️

    Coach, when you say if the defender is “7 yards or more off” is that from the line of scrimmage or from your receiver?

    • @CoachLasker
      @CoachLasker  2 роки тому

      LOS… it’s a split second throw and u will need every yard to make it work correctly

    would you recommend for a team just getting into the air raid to just audible to stick or something rather than try to run verts against a covered up defense? obviously with the time put in and chemistry built, you can accomplish the stuff you brought up. do you think audibling is a poor decision because you should be able to make any air raid play work? should players run it the way it's meant to be done no matter what to get the idea in their heads?

    • @CoachLasker
      @CoachLasker  3 роки тому

      Hey Coach
      I think you are right on track. The 4 Verts where everyone goes deep is a lower percentage throw for sure. I am all about high completion percentage so audible to a more consistent play is completely fine.
      Great thing about these levels is you can simply yell the audible from the sideline as a coach and everyone can hear you!!! 😂

    Just happened to find your channel a few days ago and I got to say your vids are a great resource for Air Raid at the youth level. Sometimes it's harder to find the stuff I need help with at our lower level, so I'm usually chasing down HS coaches or hoping some of the other channels have something I can translate to my 12-year olds. As a fellow Nor Cal Air Raid guy, this is great! Go Niners!
