I ended up taking all of the trash bags, 5 in total. Watch for trash bag reveals in the upcoming days!
Oh! I'm so glad you did!!!! Your excitement is contagious 🙂 Thanks for keeping us entertained!
Good job. Treasure hunt.
I was gonna comment to go get the rest....lol
Loved to see you get so excited I keep saying put down camera and tear into bags i am 68 and dont act my age I guess.thanks for bringing happiness here in maine
Those bags couldn't have gone to a better home! Those two fashion dolls could be a great add to some of your holiday decors. I can see either of them in their sparkly dresses and that beautiful big red cloak and going off to the holiday ball!
I really enjoy your videos. I’m old, live alone, no family but you bring happiness into my life. Wish I could go trash picking! Thank you for the videos! Make more videos!!!
Awe i wish she hearted this. ❤❤❤
What state do you live in? If close, I would totally come and take you on a trash picking adventure. I don't have much family left or around me also. ❤
Hope your day is going great!🌷🌼🌷🌼🌷
We hardly have any family either. Where are you located?
Hard side suitcases will keep Christmas ornaments clean and dry.. those Green Touristers were like my H S graduation gift in ‘64. They now still store my ornaments. You left a goldmine on the curb!!
Luggage can be donated to FOSTER CARE Program for the children that move from place to place with only GARBAGE BAGS to hold their clothing..👭👬
Exactly. Those kids need luggage.
They need clothes and toys to call their own
Exactly. We do that with backpacks and put a comfort toy and toothbrush, brush and combs. A few toys and snacks. Most courthouses do their foster care cases on certain days of the week for transport reasons for kids to make it easier for transits of the kids from the housing center. So we would go on those days and give what we could.
The small green bag is a bowling bag I'm sure.
A very good idea & at least it gives some dignity to such people.
i got that set of luggage for my sixteenth birthday and I'm 64 years old ..oldie but goodie
Esther ross Newman Sounds like my house. Got a set for graduation from HS. Were they telling me something? 😂
Esther ross Newman I also got a set for graduation! But my parents took us to Hawaii to celebrate! Dad passed away suddenly on March 8th. He was 85. And in great health. My mom and dad always took us on big vacations. My sister and I are so greatful and we appreciate all our parents did.
retrobebop61 may his soul rest in peace
@@retrobebop61 I never went on a vacation growing up. You were very blessed to have gone on vacations.
Barbie specialist is Sue Me. She has a channel.
Lynn Lopez Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Sue Is recognized in the industry as being an expert in Barbie, dolls, and antique hand held fans...
i was going to say that as well. :)
Yes Sue me is the person to ask question about the Doll ..
You tube. Sue me is her channel ..
And taco Stack for the Golf balls..he know them well ...
Those 1966 Barbies are money for sure! Congrats!
Good spider senses to grab that bag! 😁
Check out the dates on the coins !
I'm pretty sure the Ideal doll is a Tammy doll and that the Mattel doll is most likely a Francis (a Barbie relative). It was a lot of fun watching you with each find. Your excitement is contagious!
Patricia Baker, I agree with you. I’m 99.9% sure the second doll was a Francis doll. Great find Renee!
I meant Francie, not Francis. Sorry
@@tricebaker00 I believe you are correct.
Nope, not Francie. She’s a Twist ‘n Turn Barbie. Not SUPER valuable, but still a very nice find!
www.fashion-doll-guide.com/Vintage-Twist-n-Turn-Barbie-Doll.html
Renee love seeing you so excited, makes my heart giggle, in these trying times, it's good to see how something so simple can make us so happy.
I loved watching this vid, although when others say these things are vintage I cringe. I’m 62 and used and/or wore those items. Had the Barbie too and my mom spent hours sewing clothes for my Barbies.
I have seen some really cute shelves made with vintage suitcases. Looks really cute.
I was so glad you finally took the plunge. Full steam ahead!
GO GIRL!
You had me laughing out loud when you said-if there’s halloween stuff, prepare yourself now 😂. I love watching your channel for the pure delight you have in the discovery of trash treasures!
Wasn’t a bag full of Halloween, but I sure love that Bazooka Joe bag. That will be staying with me :0)
That second Barbie looked so much like the lady in Bewitched! Your excitement was SO contagious and I am looking forward to seeing the rest! WooHoo! I am 56 and I couldn’t have lived my teens and twenty years without them!! I used them right up until about 10 years ago! 😁💕
I loved your "ooh, a quarter!" Renee, I enjoy watching you go through your treasures. Those Clairol hot curlers were THE thing in the day!
I love how excited you get, it’s fun to watch.
My family calls it street shopping! We love it
Your going to be a champion, me I would have taken all those suitcases, sell them online as retro , car enthusiasts like myself love to have suitcases of the era of the cars we own, it looks good in the boot or trunk as you call it,
Here's a quick tip about "artificial flowers". My aunt was 80 yrs old and in the hospital. She bought a house new in 1978. It was lime green and yellow inside. Her house was CLEAN but she just had outdated decor. While she was in the hospital, I paint her kitchen, hallway, entryway and bedroom a nice bright whitish paint. She had figurines throughout her house that also held flowers. A praying mother Mary with flowers in the back, a little cabin with flowers in the back, etc. I looked EVERYWHERE to try and duplicate all those flowers she had in her containers. I mean everywhere for something even white and similar. So one day I made a sink full of very warm Dawn dishwater. I also put in a scoop of that Oxyclean I had bought. I swished it around and shove her containers in there and gave them a quick scrub. I then threw it in the other sink for a rinse and dried off each one with a clean towel. Ahhh, another accomplishment.
When I was done I had about 8 bunches of those old, dingy flowers that were almost tan colored over time. I was getting ready to just throw them all in the kitchen trash container. I picked up a bunch and for some reason tossed them in the dawn and oxyclean water and swished them around for only about 10 seconds. I pulled them out and it was literally a "WHAT THE HELL??". I threw them in the rinse water and then pressed them in between to towels and they looked BRAND SPANKING NEW!
I thought it was luck and did the other 7 bunches. OMG. Brand new looking. I pressed them between the towels and then laid them out to dry. On two of them I went along the outsides very carefully and trimmed off any loose thread type threads that were visible. I put them all back in the containers and it looked like a million bucks.
When she arrived home and came into her house, she had tears in her eyes. She said "If I had know it would look this nice I would have done this years ago". Later she called me up and told me she saw her containers and could not believe what they looked like. She lasted 5 more years and died at 85. So the story is about the fact that even fake flowers can be cleaned and not just thrown in the trash. It takes very little effort to make something look new again.
Our city has asked before that anyone with extra luggage of any kind to not chuck it in the garbage and that kids and teens from broken homes could use them. A few days later they had a room with hundreds of donations. So again, it takes very little effort to recycle something from a landfill and do a good deed.
Like a little kid in a candy shop!! Loved the dolls .when my girls were little. I made an entire suitcase of clothes off their dolls!! My fingers were raw from the tiny buttons, snaps, and grippers to sew!!
the Ideal doll I think might be Skipper, and Barbies that year can be money ,I love to watch you and the excitement you have is awesome, cant wait til the next bag, hugs
Beautiful old school luggage. I worked for a luggage mfr. Based in Virginia! There was American Tourister and one could have been Samsonite. Nice!
I was disappointed Renee didn't go back for all the luggage and bags. That brown smooth one is very vintage and the tweed set would have sold complete at the flea market or online (which is all we have these days) and all the other bags. By the way the green set including the one left behind was almost exactly like the one I received as a graduation gift in 1967. No stripes tho.
@@paulanull8731, I recieved the same green samsonite set when I graduated. 1966
@@phyllissalcido1846 Got a love catalogs right?
Loved your finds especially saving the vintage Barbie and clothes. Amazing!😊💐❤️
I said, "oh nooooo...go back & get those bags, if you don't, you're gonna hate yourself" SO glad you did ! Can't wait to see what other treasures you discover 😃
I'd have taken the older suitcases-they would sell at the flea market... next time you see them... pick them up...like you said a lot of people decorate with them...and use for storage.
I know the old suitcases sell because I buy everyone I come across.
My cousin has put legs on them to make a nightstand and useable storage inside...they look great!!!!
Awww you're so super happy! Been there😊
I so agree. I get so disturbed/aggravated when I see them pass up on great stuff!
Especially the suitcase without a handle is a collectior find. I wish you picked that one up.
That’s a vintage barbie! The clothes, even the hand made ones sell online.
Yes barbie clothes are expensive and kids dont care if hand made or not. When I was small and for Christmas one year I got a barbie and a ton of clothes my mom made it was great be ause I had all these clothes for my barbie.
That looked like the I Dream Of Jeannie Barbie
Dear Paper and Moose, I just want to say thank you....this video brought me so much joy! Kind regards, Nathan
Glad you enjoyed it!
Quote of the day..."Sorry Barbie I'm showing your butt." LMAO. Renee be well.
John Cordisco 😂
@@dianadollar758 Renee is cute, she cracks me up.
Oh my, this was a great video and brought back memories. I wore the “scrunchy shirts with my hip hugger bell bottoms when I was a SR in HS 1972/73. Also had the rollers in a blue case. I received a similar set of blue luggage as a graduation gift in 1973. Looking forward to seeing what’s in the other bags💕
I forgot about those scrunchy shirts. More proof that the owner of that toy box would be around my age (born 1960). I was hoping you would take every bit of the luggage as well as the trash bags. Love seeing all of this.
The blonde Barbie is called a "twist n turn" Barbie. I have a brunette with that same lovely face. Got her in 1967 when I had my tonsils out.
Hi Renee, I have that hot roller set, and my Mom had a set too. They're great hot rollers and mine still works great.
Holy moly awesome finds! Glad you grabbed the rest! Those barbies are awesome!! 💖💖
Amazing: you killed it! First off: the ideal doll is called Misty. It's commonly mistaken with Tammy ( same family of dolls) her hair is really nice which will give you a better price ( $30- $40, but take a look, I may be wrong.) The other doll you have correctly identified as Barbie, she's a Twist and Turn Barbie I believe ( may have been marketed under another name, not sure) from the late 60s or early 70s. I collected Barbies and other dolls for some time so I have run across quite a few types. So thrilled that you found some Halloween stuff- cannot wait for your next video!
I agree, the Barbie doll is from early to mid 70’s, I had one as a child and I remember that particular face!
@@zarahali4857 those were super pretty!
Needed a video like this today. Having a cruddy day and your excitement provided some cheer in my life. Thank you.
Your excitement is so contagious!!!
Go back for that little brown suitcase! We sell those all the time!!!
Her energy and voice is super relaxing 😊👌👍
The Clairol curlers go for a little bit of money on eBay especially if the pins are still with it, even the pins can be sold separately for money. Love love love how you dig into those bags.
The curling set was in pristine condition, I really doubt it was ever used. Too bad my hair wasn’t longer, I could have tried them out!
Paper Junking Those Clairol curlers were big among the woman in my family. Years ago my great uncle worked at the Clairol factory up in Stamford CT. Needless to say everyone had make up mirrors & tons of lipsticks & eye shadows.
Omg! The Clairol curlers! Used that set every day in the 70s and 80s!
My favorite are the dolls. Also like the little green carry on that you're keeping. Good choice!
I love your excitement. Makes me excited for you!
I was excited seeing the homemade doll clothes. My Mom ( now deceased) crocheted doll clothes for my Granddaughters. It was so special! Great trash haul. Love your videos!!
I had those hot rollers when I was a high school senior! That unit is ooooooold
Real old.70's. I had it too.
I had those very same rollers in high school too! Those babies were hot when the steam went down your neck! And the clips.....oh the memories. Thank you for sharing!! ❤️
We used them in the '90's too- and they still sell on eBay!!!!
The joy you derive from this and the smile on your face is contagious.
With all the slow down in video content out there, you my friend are knocking the numbers out of the park. Keep it up! Yeah! Mystery bags are high on the must watch parade of videos.
I am beyond thankful for this run of luck I have had over the past few weeks and can't really put into words how fortunate I feel. Getting emotional over "trash"! Haha
@@PaperandMoose HI, I look at this and I'm like🤔 if I could go to such a place and collect staff for our charity here in Namibia. In Africa if you happen to go a look in our trashes you won't like what you'll get in.
That was a BLAST!!! Never leave vintage luggage. Even if it’s not your style or color preference take it because someone will buy it!!! I wanted you to go through all the bags. LOL. Thanks for sharing 💕. You are so precious!!
At my flea market, I would have someone offer me a few dollars, maybe $5 tops for a vintage suitcase. I have many at home already that I use in my décor, so that's why I only took a few.
I’m sad you didn’t take the other suitcases. My grandmother had those in the 30s and 40s. That torn Halloween bag, the tag in the first suitcase, and napkins can all be used by junk journalists! The scrunched shirts were a big fad for awhile. They look completely different on than off. Great finds!!!!!
me too. i wanted her to take ALL the luggage!
Yes the scrunchie shirts ,I think we called them bubble tops. They look as mall but you would be surprised at how much they stretch.
I used to love scrunchy shirts. I was smaller then. The stretched to fit you and still were scrunchy. Cute. Maybe red long shirt was bathing suit cover-up?
I think you would look great in those scrunchie shirts! Very 70's!
What a fabulous find! I'm excited for you!
I wanted that brown leather suitcase!
One thing about it, if you don't pick up the trash when you see it, it will be gone. Great finds!
you're right about the Barbie markings: those ones on the butt denote the year of the body design, not necessarily the year the toy was made. That will usually be on the back of the neck. I reckon that one is probably an original from '66 though, by the look of it. Nice score! (I'm not a connoisseur, but a casual re-seller. It's the same with Ken dolls and Action Man etc)
I did a little bit more research & this is a Twist and Turn Barbie from 1966. She has a slanted waist, not a straight cut waist, so that was helpful in identifying the model type.
@@PaperandMoose ah cool! very nice :)
You definitely should have taken ALL of the luggage! So many people are way into vintage luggage. The slightly smaller brown one was especially awesome with its awesomely beautiful latches!
Good thing you went with your gut feelings and went back. That's just crazy to me that people wouldn't just donate that stuff to a charity. You got you probably a couple $100 in stuff so far. Of course, we really can't even look at "the market value " of stuff because things are changing fast in this crazy world we live in.... great Job Renee!!!
Chico's is a very nice line of clothes and jewelry...love that Chico's watch.
I just love you Rene, you get so excited by the awesome things you find.
What a cool trash pick!! I loved the vintage suitcases!! Would've had to take them all! Love those pretty Barbies & all of those clothes!! Reminds me of when I was little!! Great video!! Can't wait to see what's in the other bags!! Take care!!
Renee, I can’t remember if I told you this or not but if you want an absolutely fantastic laundry stain remover, I found the best of the best! Believe it or not, it’s at the dollar store. It’s a spray bottle about the same size as a windex bottle. All it says is laundry stain remover or something like that. It’s the best stain remover I’ve ever found and I have used them all. It even gets out old stains that have been washed and dried in a hot dryer. Just spray and wash the next day. If you have soft water you can wash right away. It’s great for the kind of clothes you find that have yellow neck and armpit stains. Your gonna love it!✝️🤷🏻♀️🥰🤣😇
Those dolls are great. The non-Barbie one might be Tressy or Tammy. What a fun video! Thank you!!
Amazing finds! And everything is CLEAN! !
You are fearless!
The first time I’ve ever taken whole trash bags, but I couldn’t leave them knowing there were non-trash items inside.
I loved my Barbie dolls back in the day they looked like they were in great condition I had those same hot curlers back in the 80s can’t wait to see what else you get in your other bags fun to watch.
Glad you went back for the treasure bags. Looking forward to see whats in them.
The luggage is so really cool. Retro stuff and older stuff I love~!
Renee: "Slight change of plans. I'm going back."
Me: "Yippee! What did you get?! What did you get?"
I WISH TACO WOULD SAY THAT SOMETIME......"IM GOING BACK".LOL.😍
Get them all!
@@christaclemons1455 Wow, there's a frenzy going on here. Lol
You think she found a million dollars, when she found the quarter and then the nickel. The barbie may bring you a pretty sum.
I enjoy your spending a few mins watching your show 😍 you are so calming and and seem very intelligent. Thanks for being here😁😁
Very cool finds! I just sold a bar of Cashmere bouquet soap on ebay that I picked up for 50 cents at an estate sale. Thanks for sharing! God bless, Kim
Those items must all be 70's , the clothes, curlers, soap. Think Cashmere Bouquet went out of biz late 70's as well as Camay.
Creative Crafticality At my uncles beach house he had a big apothecary jar filled with all the hotel soaps he gathered from years of traveling.
My grandma sewed Barbie clothes for me, my sister, and cousins. Delicate, tiny clothes using scraps of fabrics she already had and snaps. And she was already probably arthritic but, she did it! Amazing! I don't think that was so unusual then, in the 1960s-70s. My grandma was a tough Iowa farm woman. She made do with what she had, and could do anything. I love the Barbie finds, Renee!
M Watkins Those homemade Barbie clothes are worth more. Scott from Old Curiosity Shop just picked up a bag at GW.
your enunciation rocks
those vintage bags and suitcases are incredible! sweet finds!
You're so cute! You got more excited about that quarter than the curlers! LOL...great curbside treasure score!
I get excited anytime I see free coins! Haha
@@PaperandMoose It's also FUN when you find Money/Cash/coins in storage lockers. Found 4 $1 bills in little cosmetics bag but also $13 in coins... and most were rolled up already. How ' thoughtful ' of them to leave them for me ;-) (The $105 is Kohl's Gift cards with them was even nicer )
BTW-you should be getting a letter from me (should have arrived by now) Putting together my first box to ship this week.. but there will be more ' storage locker finds ' in later boxes as well
JG24Diecast Right, reminded me of UP! when the talking dogs get so easily distracted, just yell out squirrel when one goes by.
Great finds! Glad you followed your instincts to go back and pick up the rest!
LOVE the unbagging treasure hunt!! The Halloween loot bag was my favorite! 😃
I love watching all of your finds! But this one with the green suitcases & Bahama finds bathing suits etc. it brought back my childhood! My mom & dad traveled & this was so cute. Oh & the 1 bag I knew it was 70’s! It was so me. Thanks again. Wish I could hangout with you to go hunting. Keep finding treasures! 🥰
Steelers Black and Gold all the way I'm from the Burgh
Old suitcases that aren't in good shape can be turned into dog/cat beds. Snap them in half and place a cushion, blanket, or bed in each half. They're great for expecting mom's to birth in, because they can be rinsed out once you get the lining out.
When I heard the kids scream, I was secretly hoping there was a kid zipped inside one of the suitcases getting ready to scare you! #quarantinecraziness fun video!
So glad you went back. What fun. 💕👍🏻🙏💕
You are sooooo cute. You're videos are fun and lighthearted. Seems you really enjoy life . Think of it this way........what is the worst that could happen?.......it's not what you want and you toss it out!! Small problem..........not really a problem. Happy hunting.
Love your not afraid to look into trash bags and luggage !
I’m yelling to myself, just grab them all and hurry out of there before somebody else sees them. Fun video
Me too lol
BARBIE!!!!

Stay well..😊💛
Fantastic finds I would have taken everything trash or not so exciting, more to come can't wait thank you.👍😀

I’m 65 and still have my electric curlers from long ago.
I would still be using electric curlers if my hair was long :0) I've had many sets throughout the years!
The look on your face was priceless when you saw the bubble gum bag...thanks for a smile.
I always feel like saying get the car get the car !!! , fast before someone gets there
Loved this video - amazing stuff. The Barbie and clothes reminded me of my Grandma who was a seamstress (in the 1920s) and handmade gorgeous clothes for my Barbie and Daisy dolls
Give Taco Stacks the golf balls you don’t keep.
Just what I was thinking. He sells them and uses the left overs to hit into his pond if I recall correctly.
Renee can sell them herself!
Like TS needs more golf balls. :)
Taco stacks does NOT need any more golf balls.😣😀🐕
I was just thinking that.
I can't believe you left those vintage suitcases!!!
I can't wait to see what's in the bags! I had those curlers you found in the suitcase! They were great!
