I'm experimenting if people want to see the unedited Time Lapse footage from my videos. I think they are relaxing to watch as the chisels make the carving come alive. Let's see how people like it. Chris
How long did this whole project take? Honestly, I really do enjoy watching and learning handy lessons from your subtle visual cues. My fiancé doesn’t want to hear any “tap tap tap” lol, but that’s what headphones are for ;) If you post it, I’ll watch it! :) thanks again
You’re the MAN for continuing to make me smile whenever you post a new video. This was very relaxing to watch, which is funny, since you chiseled and sawed and had to set up cameras and whatnot for soo many hours. Kudos. You’ve already inspired me to invest in a good gouge. I only had a couple of chisels and saws before.
I'm new here and I'm impressed with your talent and especially your patience. I know someone that would love that almost as much as you do. They should use that in an intro, so cool.
Incredibly impressive work, as always. Have you ever considered doing portraits (or sculptures or reliefs or whatever they're called)? No offence to your dog, but you could start there - if it comes out crooked no one will know 😁

Thanks! I think this piece took 20-30 hours.
Yes it’s very relaxing!

Yes, I remember with what pleasure I watched the production of this work of art in real time! The Witcher is still amazing!
Thanks and no doubt!

Obrigado!
omg super work !!

Awesome.

Hi Chris, great video! What did you use on the background of the carving please?
Thanks. It walnut and I carved out the lighter sapwood to expose the darker heartwood below. I coated the heartwood with natural color Danish oil.
Excellent job! What kind of wood is it?
Thanks! Walnut - using the contract between the heartwood and the sapwood to bring this to life.
