Awesome video brother. You videos are truly realistic picture of the man living in Canadian wildness. Thank you for making them. I really enjoy watching your videos.
I've been watching your awesome videos since I was 17, now 22 I've learned a wealth of knowledge watching your videos and have been thoroughly entertained over the years, its what I look forward too when the snow starts flying here in Wyoming..... Thanks.
Just wanted to say that I sure enjoy watching your videos. I'm a trapper in northern Alberta and it's an awesome lifestyle that we live. Your videos make the evenings go by much faster. Keep up the great work and may the creator fill your traps with a great bounty. Take care out there
This is awesome. It's really cool seeing the economics of the fur trade and the skill that is required to reap any benefits. Awesome videos and keep showing everyone how great the North is!
Beautiful Lynx. Thanks for the info. Be safe, and best of luck always. I like how you've differentiate your traps. Like you placed that skull there in another video, then you showed it again to recognize it's the same trap you had. You should make an intro with all the little critters running around the cabin. :D Cheers.
+Justin Coombs yeah i will show my pet critters i see em everyday charlie usually has them under the cabin most the time hes always trying to catch them
Thanks for upfronting that honesty Andrew. We have a lot of wolves in our area & I almost sharpened my skinning knife after a life below 0 or some such. I though naw & checked fur prices. A great program there Andrew & how else eh. I mean a person living in bush these days at least has to have some money & what better way do people think I wonder. Myself I no longer have to hunt bur pride myself that a lot of our food is land food & my kids know how to survive & even know some primitive skills as I kept that life real for them. I do hope you read my comments.
If you love what you do you'll do it till you can't. You don't trap for the money as much as you trap cause you love doing it. It's your life. You are a lucky man. Stay safe and warm up there. Live to hunt, hunt to live(and trap)!!
Great video Andrew, it's always nice to watch see how you live day to day up north at your camp. I would never have thought the woods were so thick up in the NWT, nice country man. No new news on your snowmobile problems?
Hey Andrew, nice vid. too bad 5 days no fur, could have had shit weather like me right now; mother nature on a revenge rampage with the snow and stuff. My quad is back in the woods till snow goes enough to get it moving again. That's trapping! Like how the program for fur payment works there in your happy north! cheers mon.
Good video man. We finally got a little snow here in Saskatoon but winter is sure taking it's sweet time arriving this year. I looked back and saw that your river was frozen much earlier in past years too eh?
I watched a fur auction in china a couple years back, pelts of some kind from the northwest territories were selling for the equivalent of 34,000USD in YUAN, and some sold even higher!!!!!!
That fur program is a sweet deal. I was wondering why you would even consider going for beaver with the prices sucking like they are right now. Now I know why! I would be throwing snares on every wolf track I saw too. Good luck and keep the videos coming.
I wish i had that trapping program. I get what the auction says I get. lately, that really sucks .i'm really glad that trappersm such as yourself, have access to it. You need a winch or a rope-a-long. It might make your quad life easier. Googling rope-a-long might make you spend a little and safe you a huge hassle some time in the future.
Have you tried setting some satellite snares off your lynx cubbies? A little bit of fencing around the edges and with three or so snares will pick up those cats, and foxes, that won't commit. Your cubbies work so well though, you don't seem to have any cats the don't commit. Great vids.
I cant find Fur Harvesters season 2 on VIMEO. Is it gonna be on their bud? If no there where can I find it? TAKE CARE MY FRIEND. Jon LeCroy, Aviston Illinois. Oh I had a great deer season so far. Two nice deer to butcher tomorrow. I got a muzzleloader tag left to fill.
$90 for marten is not bad, taking into consideration how easy it is to put up boxes along the same line you use when trapping lynx and wolverines. Does honey work as bait over there? Here in Norway I make tampons soaked in honey. I usually cut the top off a bottle and nail it to the inside of the marten box. Then I thread the tampon trough the opening and tighten the cork over the thread. This way it's protected from rain and shit. The weather here is shifting all the time. I don't know if it's any use over there. You should give it a try and see if it works.
+TheWildNorth I usually mix some star anise with honey and heat it on the stove until it is liquid. Do not boil it. Use heather honey, the smell is intense in comparison to other types. When it is done it will look like this i46.tinypic.com/bi6zy9.jpg
Lightnin Hopkins yeah if you tan them and craft it it triples the price im mpving to alaska and i own my own business trapping hunting crafting tanning all that its a good business
Is the fur program sponsored by the NWT territorial government or other groups? It is an amazing program for sure. Marten prices seem really good too for the size of them.
+TheWildNorth I ask because global warming and the Inuit People from the north noticed that the earth have shifted a little. it's getting harder to bring whale because the ice are getting weak by the year. I would love to live off the land as a hunt and gatherer for a year with my lady and friends
So glad you jammed that Klondike trapper show. It's so ridiculous...who the hell believes that crap? What you're doing is real trapping, best show on UA-cam and TV.
So, if you could give a number, how much would you say you've made in furs? Since you've been trapping. Lol! Awesome vid Andrew. Hopefully it's picking up by now and you're trapping the shit out of those Lynx and wolverine. 👊🏽
+TheWildNorth that 4 stroke should be real nice on gas i would think real rugged machine be safe out on the line looking forward to more snow here also atb Russ
Andrew this is becoming a religious ceremony to me i come home after a long day spark the bong and load up and all new wildnorth times changed huh ? ? ? ?
Whoa I wish they had a fur program here in ont... i find it hard trapping cause the FHA agent in ont gives you 25 dollars for advance for martens and wolves you get nothing and I see the advance you get for fur I’m like man wish I lived where you was hah... but yeah awesome videos yo I like watching your videos
Hahahah you almost didn't have enough grip-shun to make that hill. Yep, hate how they over inflate the price of things on them reality shows..and the sheeple actually believe everything they say! Should hear them, oh yeah gonna go trapping this winter and buy a new truck with the money...stupid fux!!!
+muskrat411 LOL, if that were the case, every critter in the bush would be an endangered species. Yep caught a weasel today, should pay for my gas all week!!!
couple mistakes on the fur price calendar bit. If a wolf sells for $200.00 you now get the bonus. Also if your beaver sells for less then $25.00 you do not get the bonus so you are only guaranteed $25.00 on beaver. Smalls probably won't sell for any thing. I now understand what you were talking about with that infection you got from that wolf. I got an infection skinning golu the other day. Man is that sore, I can't even chisel.
+JonJon205 Golu Golu the Latin name for wolverine. It's science thing I'm not better yet hopefully tomorrow I'm bored out of my 🎄. Plus it is sore. Thanks for asking
Got pills and iv like an old granny. Missing the last couple weeks of sunshine. But take the time get better and give hard in the dark when the fur primes up.
you are very lucky with this fur program,, with nafa last year...a lot of fur unsold beaver 15 dollard,, mink 10 dollard ,,,, otter 30 ,,,, i ts suck man!!!!

I've been watching your awesome videos since I was 17, now 22 I've learned a wealth of knowledge watching your videos and have been thoroughly entertained over the years, its what I look forward too when the snow starts flying here in Wyoming..... Thanks.

Hey Andrew, nice vid. too bad 5 days no fur, could have had shit weather like me right now; mother nature on a revenge rampage with the snow and stuff. My quad is back in the woods till snow goes enough to get it moving again. That's trapping!
Like how the program for fur payment works there in your happy north!
cheers mon.
Awesome video as always Andrew buddy!
great show buddy, not bad for selling fur looks like a great system
Good video man. We finally got a little snow here in Saskatoon but winter is sure taking it's sweet time arriving this year. I looked back and saw that your river was frozen much earlier in past years too eh?

Another good one bud
Tks for the video, lmao $1000 Lynx I wish, just wish I could trap full time lol keep the vids coming man
It was nice to see the business side of things in this video.
Another very nice lynx. Do you go after wolves much in your area? Those pelts fetch a pretty hefty price.
Hope you get some cold weather and snow so you can do what you do best.
love your videos buddy, hopefully the fur is thick this year
That fur program is a sweet deal. I was wondering why you would even consider going for beaver with the prices sucking like they are right now. Now I know why! I would be throwing snares on every wolf track I saw too. Good luck and keep the videos coming.

You need a winch or a rope-a-long. It might make your quad life easier. Googling rope-a-long might make you spend a little and safe you a huge hassle some time in the future.
+mushercdn i will be using ski doo now getting too cold for quad
Beauty lynx!!! All the best to ya!!
so what do you do with the corpses when youre done skinning them?
Interesting video, thanks for the posts.
great video , thank you ! only 5 days with no fur ? i can do that standing on my head (unfortunately).
Have you tried setting some satellite snares off your lynx cubbies? A little bit of fencing around the edges and with three or so snares will pick up those cats, and foxes, that won't commit. Your cubbies work so well though, you don't seem to have any cats the don't commit. Great vids.
Nice video, Andrew!

Love your channel. Been watching for I think 3 years now. What ever happened with Season 2 of Fur Harvesters NWT? Was looking forward to it this year.
+ouchfoss it airs on wild tv dec 19th i believe it is all ready airing on nortwestel community cable here in the north
Does the bullet hole drop the price of the pelt?
How cold is it out their?

Yeah let me know if you get one. Good luck!:)
$90 for marten is not bad, taking into consideration how easy it is to put up boxes along the same line you use when trapping lynx and wolverines.

+PolluxVarangir i have never heard of useing hony i will have to try it out sometime this winter
+TheWildNorth I usually mix some star anise with honey and heat it on the stove until it is liquid. Do not boil it. Use heather honey, the smell is intense in comparison to other types. When it is done it will look like this
i46.tinypic.com/bi6zy9.jpg
a dog biscuit with a little peanut butter and honey shoved in a dirt hole. Fox and yotes love it.
Just curious Andrew do you still have your Argo? And your videos are awesome👍🍻
+Chad “Longbed454” Pawson yupp still got the argo
According to that list ya need to start targeting Polar Bears.
+Lightnin Hopkins gotta go further north theres is none around my neck of the woods
I figured that but when I saw the list you showed that Polar bear price stood out, haha.
+Lightnin Hopkins A lot of the polar bear hunters sell their hides privately and fetch a lot more than 2200. Taxidermists are their main customers.
I was joking there, sorry if I came across too serious.
Lightnin Hopkins yeah if you tan them and craft it it triples the price im mpving to alaska and i own my own business trapping hunting crafting tanning all that its a good business
How much do you get for a lynx fur anyway?
how much is bobcat fur going for?
Is the fur program sponsored by the NWT territorial government or other groups? It is an amazing program for sure. Marten prices seem really good too for the size of them.
+TheWildYam its a joint program i believe with fur harvestors and the territorial government
+TheWildNorth Cool. Thanks.
Great vid!
hey are the river taking longer to freeze up by the year? is it taking longer than last year?
+Fan Ran yes it is takeing long to freeze very mild so far only seen -15 once
+TheWildNorth I ask because global warming and the Inuit People from the north noticed that the earth have shifted a little. it's getting harder to bring whale because the ice are getting weak by the year. I would love to live off the land as a hunt and gatherer for a year with my lady and friends
good video andrew nice catch
So glad you jammed that Klondike trapper show. It's so ridiculous...who the hell believes that crap? What you're doing is real trapping, best show on UA-cam and TV.
When did you lose the tooth?
+rickyboyz100 years ago got a flip up under the jaw knocked it clean out
Ouch! Well, stay safe, stay warm and may the creator provide you with a good harvest this season! We go....thatta way!
So, if you could give a number, how much would you say you've made in furs? Since you've been trapping. Lol! Awesome vid Andrew. Hopefully it's picking up by now and you're trapping the shit out of those Lynx and wolverine. 👊🏽

After every four words the f bomb is dropped
Hahahah you almost didn't have enough grip-shun to make that hill. Yep, hate how they over inflate the price of things on them reality shows..and the sheeple actually believe everything they say! Should hear them, oh yeah gonna go trapping this winter and buy a new truck with the money...stupid fux!!!

Do you think you should get antibiotics? Or Get better bud.
Got pills and iv like an old granny. Missing the last couple weeks of sunshine.
But take the time get better and give hard in the dark when the fur primes up.
You should get a po box so we can send you some cool stuff that you can maybe use in your videos.
that is one massive linx, i bet it could do some damage if you tried to wrestle it
+Hillbilly Gold oh for sure they got claws like razors
Amazing
Andrew have ever trapped a Grizzly or Polar Bear ?
+Paul McKenna no i havent theres not many in my neck of the woods
you are very lucky with this fur program,, with nafa last year...a lot of fur unsold beaver 15 dollard,, mink 10 dollard ,,,, otter 30 ,,,, i ts suck man!!!!
