DIY Queen Fia… (😂) your design style always blows my mind! You come up with the best ideas and flips of anyone on UA-cam!!! I’ve said it for years… you deserve your own HGTV show!! Thank you for sharing your talent & time with us every week! Always look forward to Sunday bc I know you’ll have something so inspiring… I myself can do! Sending much love & hugs to you & your beautiful family.
Loved the idea of making art out of the cutting board. What if you drilled holes and inserted metal rods between the pieces. It would look intentional and the rods could be brass, wrought iron or whatever your decor needs
You've got such a great eye for beautiful design. You're always bringing in such stunning pieces I would really love to have your thrift store. As to the cutting board, I love it separated as art. I think it's just naturally fabulous.
Oooooh...I LOVE that broken Crate & Barrel cutting board! I saw a picture on Pinterest of two heavy rustic pieces of wood with a mirror in the opening and hung on a wall. That's an idea. Love the lovely pot you got with the fresh hydrangeas. Great job revamping your entry area too!
I'm currently working on a walnut/resin charcuterie board. The broken C&B board would be perfect for that. As long as you build up good sides with acrylic and use a deep pour epoxy resin, you can color the resin in any accent color you want. It would look amazing. My other thought is to hang the two pieces, apart from each other, like you showed. Very cool.
Yes, the resin in between the block would look absolutely cool and turned art work. Not sure how you’d attach it to the wall but I’m sure you’ll come up with something…you always do 😃🙌🏼(funny right, if you would’ve tried to get that crack on purpose, it probably wouldn’t have happened). All projects were fabulous, thanks for the inspiration on the cane chair. I also have 2 chairs with a cane back and bought 4 casters but your idea of using only 2 in the front ❤👍awesome!!!
I think like your hubby , I too would have passed on the hydrangea planter , I’m not creative like you ! You made it look so elegant & beautiful like all your diys !
Hi Fia! Everything looks just beautiful! I love your perspective when shopping for items to flip. The tip on taking pictures for finding inspiration for your pieces is brilliant! Wonderful video! Thank you!
Can’t wait to see what you do with the broken butcher block piece. I love both ideas you mentioned the wall decor being separated maybe with a few more chunks broken off on the edges so it’s not so clean cut looking and the idea of the resin.
I love watching your videos! I feel a sort of connection to you because my husband was an AF pharmacist and we were stationed at Wright Pat (my daughter is also a nurse). But beyond that, I love your style and even more so I love learning how to revamp things to make them beautiful and aesthetic for my home.
I like the nice storage hooks and shelf and I would love to see what you do with the broken piece you plan to turn into art. I definitely can see something there!
i could see that cutting board being an amazing wall planter. Top piece secured to wall planter box, (lower piece sucured to the front of the planter box, with live or faux vining plant coming from what appears to be the break!
Hi fia you can use 2 jinga wood pieces and add one on each side of the broken piece of wood and leave the middle open. Every Sunday I look forward to watch your video. 😊😊
The Crate & Barrel board that was broken can be used as wall art as you mentioned. If each piece is hung with a separation, you can fill the separation with moss or other greens
Have some very similar cane back chairs I reupolstered with coffee sacks... I loved them... yet they been sitting a year unpurcharchased. Love the idea of castors on front legs. Now to find a fancy pillow sham!
Love everything but the two dining chairs were my favorite along with the entry hooks and storage stool.oh and the cutting board art split and hung as two, I love it.
I think a curved stool would look great in your entry way. Like a half circle. You could even repurpose one of those half circle tables that is in rough shape:)
You are just a genius !!! I would put some epoxy between the two piece of woods … sometime you can see like this blue wave in between wood for table or trays . That would be really neat
FIA! DEFINITELY DEFINITELY PUT SOME EPOXY IN BETWEEN THE TWO AND MAKE A CLEAR AREA BETWEEN THE TWO PIECES!!!! And HANG IT UP! Omg would that be beautiful! ♥️♥️ I’d love to see you do that!! ♥️
You did a beautiful job on your garage entryway! The chair turned out gorgeous. I would use the cutting board as art the way it is with some short legs to kind of hold it a bit from the wall. Resin would be pretty, but a lot of work too
Love, love, love these ideas!!! That chair seriously was stunning when you were done with it. I wondered with the broken wood piece about putting it together but making the crack exaggerated with something like gold leaf. I've seen Japanese pottery that has broken, but they put it back together and cover the crack with gold. I think it's called "wabi sabi"...something along the lines of perfecting imperfect. I've also seen tables and countertops advertised in my area where they set it in a metal or wood frame and do little rivers of different resin going across the middle. I live in between Jackson Hole, WY and Sun Valley. A lot of stuff is designed for cabins, ranches, etc. You could modify for more modern. 😁
I always look forward to your videos! I think the two pieces of the cutting board would look good with a space between and then “framed” with flat black metal against all of the sides. I hope that makes sense! I’m anxious to see what you decide! Barbara in Kent Ohio
Glue the cutting board together and use a router to make bow ties to insert across the mend with a differently stained wood to highlight the mend. Either use as chopping board or wall art or add handles and feet for a tray.
I love the all black cane chair! I’ve done chairs before. I bought a large roll of the black heavier landscaping fabric (it’s cheaper than the stuff they sell to neatly cover the seat bottom and the same stuff)
So many great ideas! You are so talented! I think I love the cutting board as just two separate pieces - you could also join together with gold accent as the Japanese do -
Beautiful as always just my opinion a built-in little bench for that corner will do. Why that bench comes out in length but a built-in coming out but being from wall to wall makes it look clean...
2 ideas for the butcher block...1. A vein of a colorful epoxy 2. Attach it with metal strips & use it for a small shelf. You could also just hang it with a gap between the 2 pieces OR you can glue & clamp it.
Great great projects. Was noticing the dust pan and broom hanging on the peg board. Do you recall where you got that? Never thought that they could be decorative.
Another idea R/t coming in from ur garage is to have shoes removed in the garage. Have a storage area there and that cuts down on tracking in dirt to your home. When we lived in the Arctic in Alaska everyone took their shoes and boots off before entering their homes in a small room at the. Entrance Plus, folks provided socks and house shoes in a basket for guest to wear.
How important do you think it is to remove all the old layers when you are recovering chairs. I have some dining room chairs I want to recover and I'm thinking of just putting another fabric on top of the existing. Fabulous video as usual!
Everything you touch turns to gold! You definitely scored with that planter pot 😍

Oh my goodness. I was just going to comment the same thing.
I had the same idea!
Me, too!
I thought that also 👍 giving it a slight industrial twist.
I was just about to suggest the same thing… I guess great minds think alike. :)

As a former Crate & Barrel employee - I would pick YOUR items over Crate. I love your channel!
Love the idea of the broken board with epoxy through the center!
The Crate and Barrel cutting board would look great as two pieces on the wall. You did your thing on the chairs!
Love the butcher block idea. I think like pin black bars on either side with wood separate
I really like how you made your entry more functional with such inexpensive pegs! You always help me see what I have with fresh eyes. 😊

For the split cutting board, my mind immediately went to adding blue resin and giving in a 'river running through it' vibe!
Thanks again Fia for showing us how to decorate our homes on a budget.
I'm enjoying this combination of thrift store challenge, DIY and home makeovers. (Missed you last week--happy you're back.)
Love the cutting board pieces as art... just as they are.
Missed you last Sunday & glad you're back!🤗
Wall art for sure with the broken cutting board👏🏻👏🏻
The cane chair dupe was fabulous..the castor wheels was a perfect touch

I’ve reupholstered so many chairs and removing the fabric absolutely sucks-but so worth it
Love the Gardenia's and the pottery vase! ❤

Oh my goodness. I love the casters and chairs.
Favourite find was that vase. ❤

Use the two chop boards as two separate cheese boards at opposite ends of your buffet table/party table. Looks cool
You showed a great idea for the broken cutting board in your video. Wood pieces connected with metal rods. Easy
Always amazed how you can inspire and create such beautiful things. Love the chairs and the entryway.
Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
You have such a beautiful creative eye!! ❤❤
🙏 thank you for always inspiring us!
I love the butcher block separated!! You could do an epoxybriver in the break.
Loved the pot plant that you used for the hydrangeas. Looks so timeless.

Everything is so so beautiful.
Bless your hands.
Loved the chairs with casters!

Everything came out so gorgeous you did another amazing job absolutely gorgeous item’s transformation 💙🌈💜💗💚🦋
Great ideas! I would love to see an epoxy fix for the broken cutting board.
I think a curved stool would look great in your entry way. Like a half circle. You could even repurpose one of those half circle tables that is in rough shape:)
If u could find a piano bench to thrift where the lid opens u could have storage too. Just a thought.
These were great! I can't pick a favorite. I'm dying to see what you do with the cutting board.
Loved everything, as always! ❤
Great finds, Sofia. Loved your entryway makeover❤
Thank you, FIA! ANOTHER GREAT INSPO VIDEO!
Great episode. I really like the storage chair and the cane chairs. I am looking for some cane chairs to match my dumpster dived dining table.
I would dfntly use the broken piece separated as wall art it looks quite beautiful ❤much love all the way from South Africa
You are just a genius !!! I would put some epoxy between the two piece of woods … sometime you can see like this blue wave in between wood for table or trays . That would be really neat
I did not have faith in the process for that office chair and boy was I wrong! It came out so nice!!
I can't choose, all turned out lovely.
Your front entry makeover was really nice! I like how you refurbished the chair! 😊
You do very well at thrift store. You are also very clever with your DIYs.
You are so talented!
FIA! DEFINITELY DEFINITELY PUT SOME EPOXY IN BETWEEN THE TWO AND MAKE A CLEAR AREA BETWEEN THE TWO PIECES!!!! And HANG IT UP! Omg would that be beautiful! ♥️♥️ I’d love to see you do that!! ♥️
Gosh! I just love your videos!! I love the scarf/runner idea!
Chairs look fantastic.
Great video Fia! I do miss your regular DIY videos though.
So glad I found your Channel. Definitely very professional looking DIY'S
You did a beautiful job on your garage entryway! The chair turned out gorgeous. I would use the cutting board as art the way it is with some short legs to kind of hold it a bit from the wall. Resin would be pretty, but a lot of work too
Love your channel. Beautifully done every week.
Great dups. I so wish I could think outside the box like you do!

Everything you recreate is SPOT ON!! Wondering if you could try to recreate the Anthropologie Minka Vase
Everytime I watch your videos I TRIP OUT on how much you sound like Shania Twain. It’s crazy!
So many great ideas! You are so talented! I think I love the cutting board as just two separate pieces - you could also join together with gold accent as the Japanese do -

Hi FIA !
Love the chair for your office ❤
Absolute Queen!
2 ideas for the butcher block...1. A vein of a colorful epoxy 2. Attach it with metal strips & use it for a small shelf. You could also just hang it with a gap between the 2 pieces OR you can glue & clamp it.
What I see for the broken cutting board is a resin filler, with colour or without, would be stunning!
Great video, as always ❤ Why not "stitch" the broken board together, or in a way that leaves a gap. You could use whang for it.
Great great projects. Was noticing the dust pan and broom hanging on the peg board. Do you recall where you got that? Never thought that they could be decorative.
On the Crate and Barrel wood pieces, I would paint the edges black, then I would hang it up slightly apart in an anglish fashion.
Glue or secure some metal rods connecting the two pieces of butcher board for a unique wall decor.
I love everything you share
Love them.
Love your videos! What did you use to seal the big wooden desk you sanded down to keep it the natural wood?

Todos los diy están muy buenos❤
Your soooo talented
What about metal rods in the space in the cutting board ? Kind of like the metal and wood wall art from the store. ❤
You are endlessly amazing!
How important do you think it is to remove all the old layers when you are recovering chairs. I have some dining room chairs I want to recover and I'm thinking of just putting another fabric on top of the existing. Fabulous video as usual!
I would suggest metal dowels between the 2 pieces of broken cutting board to add another element
Fantastic ideas❤
So cute now!!!❤😊
