- Two identical twin brothers are in love with the same woman, but she cares for just one. One brother dies in an accident, and she is doubtful as to which one of the brothers it was.

The guide could never tell them apart and presumably, no one else saw them before they went.
Whats more important is how the one brother was able to to the other's job.
@Michael Minervini, the twins might have been wealthy enough to live job free. One admitted to lots of previous women, and considering Ann’s looks, the brothers were high value men. One was more balanced and worthy of attention, the other a psychotic and selfish hot head to be avoided like the plague.

Not sure which of the characters is most irritating. It's a close run thing.
A guy whistling"Sweet Sue" can be scary, why do writers make women seem so stupid in their stories. The ending could have been different, it was so anticlimactic to me.
Perhaps, but remember that one brother was willing to deceive Ann completely to get what He wanted. Narcissists can be very convincing, and always very controlling, stifling even.
