@@lenebrantley221 I think it is because I just lather it up in my hands and wash my face with it. It does have crushed walnuts or something in it but I don't scrub my face with the bar itself. I think they have a face wash with the same thing if that would be more suitable for you. I haven't had a reaction to it.
