This was a pilot test by Touch n' Go. The service has since been discontinued. Touch n' Go has shared some challenges they faced during the pilot phase and have decided not to proceed with full implementation.
How about NFC smartphone? Instead of using card Touch n GO, having an application to copy the details of Touch n Go and write it into our Smartphone that has NFC functionality. Same thing like a smart tag.

Apple doesn't even allow third party apps to utilize their built in nfc. So it's very very impractical to use nfc as we all know many ppl actually use apple phones
Steps taken: unlock ur phone, open the app, go to the QR code section, then scan. It's backwards compared to the card itself..steps for card: Just tap and go. They should use like Japan SuicaPay where u just tap ur phone.. no need to unlock and open specific app@@soyacincautv
Quite uncommon, only soft launch on selected user and selected station. See no logic in doing this. Forget about this lah... Just take down transit function, from Touch And Go apps, for good. Thank you. Save time.
Malaysia is terrible, who needs the physical card when we are now using smarphones? There are varioius e wallets and the public transport system is being controlled by some politicians or what, that we cannot use our e wallet to pay ?? This is why our country is not moving forward, payiing using e wallet also still cannot achieve on public transport

They should find a way integrated psychical tng card with the app, it’s so troublesome to maintain the balance for both.
I guess they're phasing out physical cards. Would be easier to just have an e-wallet and a QR-scanner.

That’s a lot of work! Why not enable Pay Wave? It’s so much easier using Samsung Pay or Apple Pay on Watch. Just tap n go. Such a nuisance.
