Sad how all the experts jump on Ace when he makes one mistake. He's a fret out. Were all human.
He's terrible every night. Out of tempo, misses notes, can't sing.....truly awful.

It's not 1 mistake though. I have watched several of his recent prerformance and every song form every show was just bad .He was playing wrong chords all over the place anc these are songs he has been playing for decades. Everyone has a bad gig but with Ace its almost every song at every show. I love Ace but it's over for him now.. it was not a tuning issue .

10:03 is the best part-- the other 2 take off and leave him alone in the middle. I have played this song for years and can tell you what happened. Ace started the riff off on the 4th and 6th fret rather than the 2nd and 4th which is where the harmony comes in. You can see Jeremy notice this and adjust really quick to match the harmony- however they still werent matching the bass- this is right before he takes off and gets away from him
It happens, but my advice is cinch up your guitar strap a notch or two Ace. I know you've been playing it like a gunslinger all your life, but you're no spring chicken anymore. It's not good for your back and it will give you a little more control if you raise it some. I saw a clip of you covering "Good Time/Bad Times" the other night and thought it was really good!
I was at the show , it was one song. It kills me all the experts out there.
During Detroit Rock City, I think Ace was a fret or two high. The guitarist on the left (Ace's right) was staring at Ace's guitar neck, trying to figure out what he was doing, then he shouts at him "A", and walks away. The guitarist on the right did some experimenting of positions on the neck to try and figure out where he needed to be to match what Ace was doing, and that made it sound even worse.

I once played a whole solo out of key in a song I've played live a 100 times And could not figure out why it sounded wrong. Never got drunk at a show again LOL.
Most of he crowd is drunk and or high and probably never noticed. That's coming from a guy that usually is drunk in the crowd.

Ace is playing from the 3rd fret instead of the second, which is why the bass sounds off. The second guy then chimes in way too high and quickly exits stage left. The last A chord is correct, even though it sounds off due to the solo being out of key by a half step. The bass is the only one playing it right
I’ll say Ace is half deaf, he told me that when I met him twice, I had to speak loudly and in his other ear. That happens when you Play loud for decades and your over 70! Ace is legendary and influenced thousands of not millions to play guitar.
I’ve seen Ace three time live in 2019 and he killed it every time but understandably he was tired afterwords. Who would t be

I absolutely buy your buddy's explanation of Ace getting lost, and then the other guys getting lost trying to figure out where he was. I don't think the guitars were out of tune, because again, the rest of the song sounded like they were all on the same page. I wonder if KI$$ has rescinded their invitation for Ace to join them onstage 😅 I still love how Ace looks around like the band is fucking up, and he's all good 🤣
Would never happen with Kiss because they use backing tracks.

I've never thought Brian Johnson sounded bad live not once. Does he sound like he did on the back in black album no, but he never has live,but he has that bluesy growl that's his unmistakable sound.
I respectfully disagree. Listen to Live at River Plate. In much of that, he's almost unlistenable
@@JokersWild70 I have it on dvd and cd and I agree it's not their best live album but I was putting it down to bad production too much crowd noise etc.

C'mon. His other guitarist was out of tune as well as Ace was a fret up.
Don't say nothing bad about kiss ace or anyone its not lip synching even if you're 5 ft away from the microphone. Quit making excuses for these guys they weren't great to begin with so what do you expect
Then there's the issue of muscle memory. When you've played as song 5000 times your hand knows where to go.
Sounds more like to me that the tech may have given Ace a guitar that was in a different tuning.
If that was the only song that was whack I'd say somebody has a guitar that wasn't meant for that song.
It wasn't just that 1 song . This has been happening all through ACEs Latest gigs . I have watched several of his latest performances and it's bad

I’m telling you ace is impaired! This whole tour has sounded like crap! Detroit Rock City was mid set. The opener is Rip it Out and it sounds AWFUL!!

Hahaha...maybe somebody will psychoanalyze these guys someday as well...lol.
Ace's guitar is tuned down a whole step as is the rest of the band. When he plays the open A chord at the end it sounds like a G natural. He's paying the riff a fret higher (3rd position instead of 2nd) so it sounds correct to him because the song is originally played with guitars tuned a half step down. But he's out of tune with the rest of the band and any attempt to cover for him turns into a cluster fuck.
45 minutes is too long, man. 🤘

Look, one of them lost their place, & was in the wrong key during the solo. The other guitar player tried to find the key & couldn't, who knows what the bass player was doing, I think he just stayed in the original key & at the end of the solo they all met up @ the A & pulled it back together. That's all that happened. A guy lost his place, it' happens just go look @ raw footage of bands live it happens a lot. I wish Ace still had his band & not Gene's. Gene's guys aren't doing Ace any favors. Go look @ other vids of them & you'll see. I love Ace & have since '74. I think a ticket to see Ace is like $25 - $36.
Ace's brain is totally fried. Years of drugs and alcohol have destroyed him. That's the bottom line. Listen to him attempt to speak. It's embarrassing.

I’ve met him twice and didn’t see any of this, the only thing embarrassing is the fact you have no facts. You have probably never done anything with your own life so you attempt to trash he most legendary guitar player in history, go back to your basement and try to be a more positive member of society
Maybe Ace needs an ear training class....
Or maybe he needs new ears he's only been playing through Marshall stacks for the last 50 years.
