I didn't know this even existed!

Flying Delta Airlines from LAX to ATL, our flight path took us on a southerly route over Mexico to avoid severe storms in Texas and Arkansas. I was stunned to see a portion of Sonora, Mexico covered in Craters (perhaps volcanic or meteor strikes?). This is the Reserva de la Biosfera El Pinacate y Gran Desierto de Altar and the dark splotch at the lower right is The Octopus Valley. If you have starp eyes you can also spot the U.S. - Mexico Border, marked by a fence and Border Patrol road.
