Now this is nice!!!!!! I love the washer/dryer where it is and I love no window above stove and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that stove and fridge!!!! AND finally someone got wise... no heat vent directly in front of bathroom sinks. Genius. For my full time living experience, this is near perfect. Where were the dump valves outside. Missed that. It also looks like real wood through out. No wrapped garbage. This one ticks all my boxes really nicely.
The little drawer thing you pulled out of the dresser is for jewelry. I love it. That fifth wheel is so pretty.
Awsome 5th wheel my favorite floorplan.
I have a filming suggestion:
When you are filming inside the rv close the door because RV dealers are usually on super noisy freeways.
We could all hear you better and get a better feel of how well these beautiful 3 1/4" sidewalls really work or maybe even the dual pane windows...its nice to see residential amenities but coming from a noisy road into a quiet inside definitely would also transmit the more residential feeling!
That’s the best layout I’ve seen so far, thank you for the information
Nice unit with a classic floorplan. I like the way they implemented the half bath. Though I would have a hard time not going with the far more modern feeling "Front Kitchen" floorplans that many of the Mfr's have come out with the last few years.
Great layout and lots of amenities. As you stated, GREAT VALUE for the size and features.
Love this one, perfect for what we need!!
I'm in lover with these Riverstone 5th wheels
Great floor plan love it. Super review and video. Thanks much JD.
It’s a very nice fifth wheel. I love it. Thank you for showing this one. It was from a few months ago. I thought I watch it. Very nice. I like kitchen area. Thank you again. Stay safe.
Now that’s Roughing IT !
And more outdoor led flood. Lights and some super sweet led programmable mood lighting on everything,
There's more room on either side of that king-size bed than in my HOUSE!
Awesome, I'm amazed of the room in this floor plan well pleased of this RV it looks more like a house then I camper tremendously amazed thank you I want one
Thanks for the info!
I appreciate you reviewing this trailer. This is the very 5th wheel that we intend to buy in a couple of years, plan on selling our house and living in it the last year that I'm working. I'm a truck driver, my route is Seattle to Salt lake city pulling a 53ft trailer so I'm not worried about pulling this 5th wheel, it's the rv'ing part that I have to learn. Also planning on getting a GMC Sierra Denali 3500 dually long bed to pull it.
Thanks Lavon
Get the new ford with the new diesel and you will thank me later
@@jase1911 why?
@@pemarongae5809 more torque and more hp better transmission and better weight rating
I've seen front living rooms where they flip the theater seats and the fireplace. I love that idea! Never been a fan of having my back to the door.
Great looking unit, just wish I could afford it! I like your channel, very informative!
Ooohh, what a nice 5th-wheel trailer. Gosh, I'm just born in the wrong place. Perhaps when I retire. Cheers from the Netherlands.
They commit so much resources and time/effort to build a rv with a 12 year shelf life! When are they going to start putting aluminum/fiberglass/stainless steel roofs on them?
and good insulation to make them year round living.
Very nice looking unit. The interior has very nice looking finishes.
Hey JD, another great informative video.
I would love for you to do a video on the GD Solitude 390RK .
Boy the only thing wrong with this unit is the kitchen sink should’ve been to one side of the island so you could turn around and use that space to help out with your prep for the stove top and you wouldn’t have missed the lack of counter space if they had, other than that it’s right on the money.
I need to be living in their me and my kids I like it much I like your extra ideas and educating us more on the product vocation for life right lol
I love this setup
This is my wife's idea of "camping"
@Carol Howard HA! That's exactly how my aunt calls it in her RV.
LOL SAME
Like the laundry in the half bath... And good idea for the second shower option you mention.
That’s why we’re stuck on DRV... easily the best custom options for the price point. Good idea for a 2nd shower too!!
Your work in these videos is always spot on, so thank you again. For this rig, I have never been a fan of door side front slides as that is your main outdoor relaxation area, and with a potential head banger in the mix, no thank you. This is why I like the front bedroom units with off door side slide, and the wider opposing slides in the mid and rear of the coach. For full timing, which normally involves a couple, not so sure you need all that extra sofa space up front. You missed an opportunity to show off that overhead beam feature which looks great. Like any RV, when you walk into it for the first time, much like a house, does it feel like a home you could see yourself in long term? At this price tag, this one does not. Full timers are typically going to be 50-60 years old plus, so negotiating stairs every time between kitchen and TV is not good. This is why the best couples 5th wheels are the tried and true front bedroom & bath, with main living area in the rear with kitchen, TV and dining areas all closer together. These RV builders keep trying new floor plans when the best already exists and out sells all the rest. Advanced floor plans are for families with kids. This one costs too much for that, so a thumbs down.
Another note, all RV screen doors are problematic, especially if you have the common lovable dog along for company. The bottom section of any RV screen door can be easily removed and replaced with a measured cut piece of 1/4" thick tinted fiberglass held in place with a good quality thin profile black double sided foam tape all around he perimeter. Keeps the dog from destroying the screen door, while allowing the dog to see through it, and looks very custom and nice. Lasts for many trouble free years.
THIS ONE RIGHT HERR!!! Perfect couldn’t ask for anything better, def more counter top space but I’ll live and a bigger tv but that’s just me 😏
Two 8K axles on a rig with 19k GVWR?
Great unit. All I need is a 5th wheel hitch for my Honda Ridgeline.
and a vehicle that can handle it
Super nice!
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
13:55 for keys??? Dude that’s for jewelry.
💎 💍 💎
Putting a lot of trust in those West lake tires.
I've seen a few of these same layout for about 70. It's pretty but not 138 pretty.
I would like to see people's experiences with RV furniture. The Franklin furniture in my $90k Jayco Pinnacle lasted 3 years before it started deteriorating. Of course Jayco will not stand behind it as it's out of warranty.
Fred Collins Jr really why only 3yrs
@@cocomajoko1 I was told by 2 Jayco dealers, this is a known problem.
Yes It's A Great Looking Fifty Wheel & I Would Love To Have One Of Them
Thank You All For Liking My Comments On This RV
You weird boiiiii 🤣🤣🤣
You are by far the best RV reviewer on you tube..I appreciate the detail, time conscious reviews! It’s RV show season so we’re looking forward to seeing those reviews as well,.. just an appreciation from a fan who you’ve saved a lifetime of personal reviews. DRV and Van Leigh are hard to beat. If only luxe was closer in price, but a luxe is a beautifulllll 5th wheel,
Maybe a 2nd or 3rd tv the same way. Out the back and front aswell.. and air plumbing to each corner of the rig on each side. And a option for a bigger air tank and pump for the system with a diesel genny option with a welder package up front or something for a pipe line kinda setup
The thing in the front storage you referred to as part of the hydraulic pump system is a Dexter electric over hydraulic brake actuator.
Great RV and Video, Can you do the Riverstone 39RKFB
Nice one.
The lined pullout behind the bedroom fireplace is most likely jewelry storage.
Tremendous is his favorite word.
For 138k you’d think the onan generator would be in there.
It has solar. Doesn't need a generator.
@@livingthedash6727 solar can't run AC's, fridge, washer and dryer.
@@bazz2438 inverter. I have my homes central air/heat, fridge/freezer, washer dryer, everything in my home running on solar.
@@livingthedash6727 Red seal electrician. The size of the solar system in this trailer is not large enough.
@@livingthedash6727 It would, for all of a couple hours then completely deplete the batteries. All day use wouldn't happen, forget about night time.
17.5 tires for the win
In the bedroom, the pull out cubby for "keys and what not" is actually a jewelry armoire.
I like the set-up but for the price I'm shocked they don't include a Onan of some sort.
Maybe, you could do a review of a cedar creek 38RTH fitth wheel camper sometime. I like all of your review's on everything you do. I have purchase a lot of products you review from e-trailer and other places. Thank You.
you got any videos on rv cords? I'm looking into making a 100' extension cord for my welder and like to use the same rated cables as most 50A rv cables
What happens if the pin box air bag fails for some reason? Punctures, whatever. Still safe to tow until you fix?
Nice, like the colors. So when you getting your new one.
Cool video
I find myself playing "make believe", pretending how I'd would enjoy this 5th wheel. Really nice unit, but I'll never own something this big.
All that size and STILL really set up for a couple. With occasional overnight guests. Don't get me wrong.....it's AWESOMELY appointed for a couple traveling full time. But dang. That master bedroom/bathroom and kitchen/dinette is 2/3 of total living space. But leaves you fewer options when appointing the other 1/3 (and it's a nice 1/3....don't get me wrong). My other takeaway is that I was a bit taken aback at the dual-axle setup. I expected maybe 3 axles.......and the tires (not sure what 'H'-rating gives you) look a little small. I'm sure someone here will correct me....lol.
For $138k you’d think they could have vacuumed up the wood shavings in the cargo compartment...And then I watched the rest of the video where you explain that it is normal and the dealer will clean it. Should have watched the whole thing before I commented!
My big issue is interior colors. Forest River advertises the Riverstone as their luxury unit but they still have yet to offer white cabinetry which we are now even seeing in some mid-grade units. Enough with the brown, please. And the infinity lights still? Maybe some people like them but I think they make the RV look like a very cheap unit with the colored lighting. Just my opinion. Otherwise, the quality of the units are decent. We've looked at quite a few.
I like the size of that stove. I could cook a small turkey in it.
Can the exit window in the master bedroom be moved behind the headboard? Replace that window with a complete full wardrobe and drawers on a slide giving more room to walkthrough?
LED's are great because they pull less current but are horrible because they generate noise on amateur radios.
Over 100k....Beautiful RV. No generator included at that price point is disappointing. Nice though to see how the other half live. All kidding aside you make great and very informative videos sir!
Oooo!!!
You’d have to be a giant to reach the laundry appliances
Since you sold your last 5th wheel, have you decided on your next trailer?
I agree, this is a great fifth wheel unit. Have not purchased one yet...retirement is still a few years away. But I have a question or two. You mention that to pull this requires a dually. I have heard from several full-time and part-time 5th wheelers to avoid a dually. To get a 450 or 4500 instead. Please explain?
You mentioned and additional camera that can be over the door for security. What camera is that and is it battery operated? I would like to add that to my fifth wheel also. Thanks
that’s a lot of clams for gelcoat and stickers
I guess for the high price on this I'd like to see more counter space and a generator and g rated tires like I've seen on cheaper campers
The island could be better with flip up wings all the way around to extend it. And make the table/chairs match the height of the island so u can make a big table, I'd like to see the roof layout, where does the exhaust go for the genny? And fuel tank? Is there a outdoor shower connection with hot water? How big r the tanks? 80 lbs of propane ain't shit... I'd like to see the propane tanks moved... make the entire roof taller by 1 ft or so, and throw 4 100 lb propane tanks laying on Their side under the 5th wheel neck with a slider truck style bed box and door system so u can slide it out sideways or out the front if. Needed. I see wasted space under. The axles where u could mount a massive set of tanks and I'd go with a double dually axle on air bags with its own on board air system and tank. Plus u can use that for flat tires or air tools, the outside tv would be sweet if it was bigger and was mounted on a slide arm the slides out then rotates up and turns 90 so u can have a big ass tv..
That big ass grey travel trailer to the side? Did you review it already? That thing looks massive!
For such a big fifth wheel the outside storage sure is Small & narrow !
Was there a dish washer drawer under the sink? Looked like it in the video, but I don't see anything on the model website.
Interior 8:20 ...nice unit!
QUESTION: If it has a weight of 19, 000# but only rides on dual 8,000# axles, what is supporting the missing 3,000#? Sounds to me like blown tires are going to be a normal occurrence. I have RV'd for years and owned TT styles, not 5th wheels. I have never seen the axles not cover the trailer weight, so how does that work?
I will be a first time owner of a rv trailer, probably a fifth wheel. I am thinking of starting off with a used fifth wheel. Will I find after market warranties on fifth wheel that have their factory warranty expired because of time expired?
thats nuts i paid 140 thousand for my first house about 7 years ago lol
And more quad outlets threw out the interior with both ac/dc usb plug boxes
The rear bedroom and bathroom are nice and the front living room is decent but the kitchen has no useable counter prep space. That’s a shame. If they’re going to provide the back end storage under the bedroom they need to make it more useable like on Grand Design’s Solitude models.
How about showing the Riverstone 37FLTH
Love that the laundry is NOT in the bedroom.
Were big Montana lovers. Does keystone make anything in this range?
Wish riverstone offered a bunk model
has the oven always been small , why do they not come with a normal oven?
I just looked at the stickers for a 39FK...as I boondock a lot I would be travelling with full fresh water...the remaining cargo capacity is only 1080 lbs with a full water tank! A decent solar and battery system will weight in at 600 - 700 lbs...so basically there is no cargo capacity once I load on our clothes...no capacity for food, toys, dishes, bedding etc...why do manufacturers claim they have a fulltime RV when there is no cargo capacity for fulltiming? There should be at least 3000 lbs available to live fulltime. All they need to do is put 9K axles on this bad boy and they would be good. I know that Grand Design has learned their lesson in this and are finally offering an upgrade to 8K axles and they are upping the stated cargo capacity if you go for this option!
You're technically not supposed to travel with full tanks. At most, it's recommended to stay well under 1/2. Also, the GVWR of most RVs do not account for a full off grill solar system (more than just decent). A typical solar system is a few panels, 2-3 batteries and related controllers, which would only add about 200lbs to the weight.
Hey! How come for you don't see dishwashers in these things? I'm relatively new to the channel and rvs in general and it seems odd to me they aren't there but I'm sure there's a reason!
Do the Salem elite 39FL please
For that price I would rather have a DRV.
Does forest river riverstone 42fskg warranty void if living full time?
Above the entry door it looks like they've either already included the furrion security camera or its prepped. Am I seeing that right?
Anthony Salyer the security camera was mentioned when it showed the side camera.
I’d like to make to bedroom one foot shorter, install a queen bed and a 5’ tub. Making the bathroom 5’ deep instead of four.
Did you mention the length?
Here is a question you said this is 19085 ibs rides on 2 8000 ibs axels math say 16000 axel capacity 3085 ibs in the black ?
Is there a heat shield between the fireplace and tv?
Not a real fireplace 🤦♂️
That front pass through looks smaller than most, tall but narrow.
Would this unit be insulated well enough to use your water supply and black and grey tanks in sub zero temperatures? Thanks good video 👍🏻
DRV, or the easy answer to sub zero is LUXE. They are an engineering marvel for longevity and functionality for any weather.. (we’re in the process of deciding too- but the LUXE is another level up as in more than you’ll ever need )
Did u not see the pop up that said this unit had disc brakes.
What kind of depreciation can you expect after 5 years of normal use?
50%
Where is the wet bay located on this unit?
Perfect is there a dishwasher? You don't want to shower in a half bath your downsizing to that so that people don't stay if they do one night. Overall yes you're right they could have used a flip up countertop or something like that but the residential stove that just doesn't right there the Dual sink in the back the bathroom in the back the laundry room is perfect right there can't do any better and the wood floors that they're doing is perfect there should not be any carpet in a fifth wheel unless it's a rug
i notice the vent over the tv in the bedroom ...its going to blow down the tv ...
