The Hiss is a resonance-based entity, so playing the tango combats it because it itself is a resonance-based entity. Ahti does a good job, hope he enjoys that vacation.
Finally I can remember some of the words for this great tango once it comes up during gameplay! Me: * *plays the game* * * *song comes up* * Me: * *can't remember a single word* * Me: perkele
Man, I caught myself listening to this and doing a near-identical humming to Ahti while I was cleaning up at work. Now I just need to get the idioms down, and I can be our own mysterious janitor.
Just heard about Alan Wake a long, long time ago. People told that Quantum was boring and basically a movie. And Just finished Control. Now with Ahti singing this song, connecting everything together, i MUST see/watch/play every single game they make about this Universe, 'cause the story and ideas and everything else it's just SO GOOD!
that was also my thought before i finished Control. I have played Alan Wake like a long time ago, and i don't even remember the big chunks of plot, and also kinda thought QB was meh. That did change when i finished Control, this quarantine i decided to play Alan Wake again and tried Quantum Break, and it was a blast! Alan Wake is such a great game with a great story, however there's still love and hate for QB, but i still enjoy it. QB was an experiment from Remedy after all, so i appreciate that After all, Sam Lake and people of Remedy did such a great job creating this connected universe, can't wait for more! and you should play those when you have a free time ofc, and i recommend you watching Gaming University channel for lore explanation
@@NowlZeoPlus I watched the G.U channel, so yeah... A lot of fun, Lore, and ideas for DMing TTRPGs. And i'll play the other games out of respect because of Control. The idea of Ahti, the "Janitor" character was fantastic. Such a weird, mysterious and interesting character!
sadly quantum break is not officially in the same universe as alan wake and control yet. quantum break was supposed to be but microsoft wanted a new IP, but hopefully remedy can buy the right to quantum break from microsoft (like they did with alan wake) to make it officially part of their shared universe.
Thank You for all the great vids. This tango is truly finest Finnish melancholy. This is connected to all video game heroes, not only to the Remedy games. It also touches me as I look my own life (62 years all ready, and Finnish, still like playing PC games). I was very astonished that Martti has so good voice, and so great interpretation. Martti is a very humble person, but one of the greatest finnish actors as well in movies as on the stage. Great love to all of you.
Finnish is actually quite easy, because it's a phonetic language. The written and spoken language have almost no variation (what you hear is how you write it), so it's simple to pick up.
@@NcxX-c8f That is problematic when you're learning how to write in it, but it doesn't exactly hinder the spoken language. Or at least it doesn't to me, but my matron language is german and we are chockful of case markings, although from people learning it I've never noticed it being a problem with speech.
You have no idea how important this song is to deciphering Alan Wake, like the whole overarching story and the themes. This is the key to everything and it was there before even AW2.
I didn't care for this song during the game, and never bothered to listen to it fully. Sure it was a tango, beautiful singing, but it just kept repeating. Compared to some of the other music, it just didn't draw my attention. Of course, being connected to Ahti, I should've known it was the biggest connection between all of Remedy's games before the AWE dlc... Every little secret makes me love this game more and more.
Despite what everyone says, I don't think none of these characters will have happy endings. What I see them at is hitting their lowest possible points and climbing back out from that pitch-black hole. Why? Max Payne. Two games he was destroyed and devastated by his family, 'winning' but not really. It is only in three that he truly wins, able to escape his pains and move on. In Alan Wake I bet this will happen as well. We've seen him lose and lose again, hitting his devastating low point before rising out of the darkness. What is the scariest thing about my theory though? We haven't seen Jesse's lowest point.
I believe, Jesse’s lowest point was Ordinary and the years without her brother. By finding him, she’s started the process of rising already. With Emily and Arish and Ahti at her side, she’s getting better
I think the line "he will never get a happy ending" is actually a clue to how Quantum Break goes on after the (open) ending. Jack being in character surely fucks things up in order to save Beth, creating the mess Control deals with. I think Jesse will (if there is ever a sequel) "fade" as her name suggests (Awake=>Choice=>Fade :D) and become one again with Dylan. I'd consider that a happy ending though.
Last verse seems like it's referencing Max Payne more than Jesse 'You're in a video game Max.. Funny as hell, it was the most horrible thing I could imagine'
Lyrics Finnish: "Järveks' luulin merta kerran", runon lausui hän Mysteerin sen syövereissä vietti elämän Alla synkän valtameren varjoiss' vaeltaa Etsii tietä valoon, luokse armaan, ainiaan Yksin sankar' yöhön syvemmälle matkaa pois Se taakka hänen harteillaan kuin lupaus aina ois Täss' pelissä tää narri lyödään maahan aina vaan Vaan hetki kuoloss' lepoo suodaan, jo takas kutsutaan Aika särkyy, ikuisuuteen laukaus kajahtaa Ei onnellista loppua hän kohtaa milloinkaan Niin monta kertaa kerrottu tää tarina jo on Sankarilla tuhat kasvoo, polku lohduton Yksin sankar' yöhön syvemmälle matkaa pois Se taakka hänen harteillaan kuin lupaus aina ois Täss' pelissä tää narri lyödään maahan aina vaan Vaan hetki kuoloss' lepoo suodaan, jo takas kutsutaan Täss' pelissä tää narri lyödään maahan aina vaan Vaan hetki kuoloss' lepoo suodaan, jo takas kutsutaan

You know what? Part three is not about Control. It's about Alan Wake 2! Time after time he is plunged into the night of the dark place, and each time the outcome is the same - death, after which he tries to escape again... only to die in the end.
holy shit those last lyrics are about alan wake 2 not control : Alone the hero travels deeper into the night- Wake trying to get out of the dark place by diving in to write initiation. This Burden on his shoulders would always be there like a promise- represents his relationship to Alice In the game the fool is beaten again and again- every time Alan nearly gets out the dark place stops him over and over But only a moment of rest in death is given , already having to return- every loop begins after the prior loop with alan having a bullet in his head
for Alan Wake, definitely! Quantum Break is a bit hit or miss depending on your view, it's a beatiful cinematic experience but i wish the gameplay had more to it, but I still enjoy it nevertheless
