- On the afternoon of Jan. 28, 2025 a federal judge temporarily blocked President Donald Trump's freeze on federal grant and loan programs.
The federal government offers trillions of dollars in loans and grants to states, local governments, businesses, nonprofits and individuals every year. Much of that money goes to Indiana to support everything from traffic cameras for IMPD to roundabouts in Carmel to Meals on Wheels.
The decision by the White House to freeze all of that money has caught organizations off-guard, and many are asking for clarity on what it means for them and for everyday citizens.

As a veteran who had health issues that put me on the bench and had to use these so called programs. Transitional houusing vet program charged me 9800$ when I actually used my VA loan to purchase a HUD foreclosure. Perfect renter. Then vet program thru workone,state employment office,...disabled at 63.hate not working,part time is all I got left. They told me take full time at a nursing home or lose benefits. Without notice at Christmas they cancelled medicaid and reduced social security. No medicine etc and with heart issues. You mean those non profits? And if you have old heart stents don't go to the hospital in this state. It's legal for them to remove them against your will!!! They'll have an organ harvesting team there waiting just incase,..wink,wink,nudge,nudge thanks for your service veteran. Indiana has some serious problems and it's high time you FAKE NEWS start covering these REAL ISSUES concerning our state. The family courts? Fathers our outlawed,in jail and the state has taken their place. We could go on but GROW UP CORRUPT LAW MAKERS we want out of the UN Agenda 2030 programs!

That isn't the solution because as in other countries and emergency or simple health problems is long delays and denials of other needed surgeries are being delayed or denied. As reported by many living with Gov only health care.
Trust me you don’t, nothing in life is free and free isn’t always good. The quality and overall service of healthcare would greatly diminish just like all other government ran programs.businesses etc. don’t believe me try calling the irs or social security or any others see how long your on hold and the kind of service you get, you would beg for private insurance.

how does cutting funding to free legal aid and homeless shelters help us citizens?
