They are Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are 2 opera singers, 1 musical actor & 1 self taught singer in a rock band, before they auditioned in a singing competition named "Phantom Singer 2". Through the competition they are formed together as Forestella & became 1st place winner. They have many amazing performance because each of them have different style & range but blends well together. They often called as The Kings of Harmonies.

Thank you for your reaction to FORESTELLA. These guys are just fantastic. Their genre is CROSSOVER, which means they jump from genre to genre, mixing these and various styles and vocal techniques. And this in a very creative and brilliant way. They often cover iconic songs, give them their own spice and make them a new TOP. (Btw, they always sing live).

Well you just stumbled on the best crossover group in the world. Their name is Forestella (KBS is a Korean TV station), their individual names are Ko Woorim (base), Kang Hyung Ho (counter tenor, leopard print here), Chi Mingyu (tenor), and Bae DoHoon (baritone). They can sing in multiple styles, opera, pop, rock, rap, and in multiple languages, always perfectly. They were the winners of the 2017 Phantom Opera contest and have become a household name in Korea. This doesn’t even show their whole range; Kang Hyungho can sing higher than many females; I suggest you listen to Nella Fantasia and Time in a bottle next. And then Bohemian Rhapsody. Their remake of Ed Sheeran’s Shape of you is also phenomenal. And yes, Woorim’s voice is like that in every song!!! They call it the “Cave” of Woorim’s voice.
They are a Korean group singing this live on a show called Immortal songs broadcast by KBS( Korean Broadcast Station). Forestella has won many times on the Immortal songs show.
They are a crossover group so they sing in many genres and languages.
The members are: (in Korea, surname comes first)
Cho Min Gyu (tenor)
Bae Doo Hoon (baritone/tenor)
Kang Hyung Ho (rock/tenor/soprano voice)
and THE BASS: Koo Woo-Rim and of course this is his original voice. He (like everyone) has a greatly expanded vocal range and goes much higher and much lower. I highly recommend their versions of "Legends Never Die" or "Warriors"( both from League of Legends), MAMA (by EXO) or "Bad "Romance".
Welcome to Forestella! They really are one of the best vocal groups out there, not just in Korea. They did a North American tour this year and I got to see them live in February. They're even better in person! All of their songs are so good, if you like the deep voice (his name is Woorim), you should react to their "Bad Romance" cover.

Well, KBS supported Forestella a lot. They are known to the world through Immortal Songs on KBS.
Forestella is a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die!
And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too.
Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible.
Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check.
Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Enjoy their diversity with their original song White Night too.
Forestella released their single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans.

They are technically a "Classical Crossover" group that was formed on the survival elimination show called "Phantom Singer" whose goal was to create a crossover vocal quartet like II Divo. They take that "Crossover" title seriously and they have done everything from Tango to Kpop, Rock Opera to Waltzes.
Left to right
Woorim - Classically trained Basso Profundo
Hyungho - Rock Countertenor (zero training until he joined the group)
Mingyu - Leader and Classically trained Leggiero Tenor (he and Woorim went to the same school)
Doohoon - Musical Theater Actor, Baritenor
Outstanding live performances to check out, Bad Romance (lots of that Bass taking the lead in that song), Lazenca, Save Us (From the Space Rock Opera), Legends Never Die, Hijo de la Luna, Bohemian Rhapsody, Time in a Bottle, Ju Suis Malade, Gondre Mandre (Dead Drunk), and Inner Universe.
They also have some amazing original content, Save our Lives, Utopia, White Night, Snow Globe (which seems to be a fanciful retelling of them coming together as a team).
They will always amaze you. Four VERY different sounding singers, but when they harmonize it comes together so beautifully I guarantee goosebumps. ENJOY!

I would recommend checking out the songs "Hijo de la Luna" and "MAMA" next. I'd suggest listening to Hijo de la Luna first - it highlights all of their voices very well. Forestella formed through JTBC's singing competition Phantom Singer season 2, which they won. They are known as the "king of harmonies".
About the members (keep in mind that in Korea last names are written first): The guy who sang first is Bae Doohoon. He is a musical theater actor, and he sings in a baritenor range. He is known for having more "pop" style vocals. The second one who sang, with a really deep voice, is Ko Woorim. He is a classically trained basso profundo opera singer, and he studied at Seoul National University. The third one who sang is Kang Hyungho (stage name is PITTA). Before joining Forestella, he had no vocal training. He was a research chemist and an amateur rock singer. He is known for his incredibly wide range. He is a countertenor, or as he says, a "teprano" (tenor and soprano). In this performance, you hear his tenor range, but in a lot of their other songs, like Hijo de la Luna and Nella Fantasia, you can hear his soprano range and he literally sounds like a woman. The fourth one who sang is Cho Mingyu, the leader of the group. He is a classically trained leggero tenor opera singer. Like Woorim, he also studied at Seoul National University. All of the members have very unique voices, and their voices blend very well together. I would love it if you checked out more of their performances!!
Also, I have another artist to recommend to you! You should check out sEODo Band (서도밴드). They are a more typical band, with a bunch of instrumentalists and a lead singer. Their lead singer is 서재현 (Seo Jae-Hyun), and he performs under the stage name sEODo (서도). He invented the genre Joseon Pop, which is a mixture of modern pop music and traditional korean music. You should check out the songs 매일 매일 기다려 (maeil maeil gidaryo) and 뱃노래 (baetnorae, boat song). They performed both these songs live on JTBC's competition 풍류 (poongryu), which they won.
If i don't exaggerate, your comment "you can hear his (Kang Hyng Ho) soprano range and he literally sounds like a woman", he sings better than a woman in my opinion :). His high note but sweet voice is the most rarest element in the world. So many male singers can hit the high notes but his high pitch notes are so pleasant to my ears. My fav.

I don’t know about other medias, but if you have access to Apple you can read the translations of the comments. Spanish speakers love their pronunciation. They work hard for perfect pronunciation of whatever language the song is in: English, French, Zulu, German, whatever. Their covers of popular songs are spectacular but their originals like “Utopia” are breathtaking.

I also heard this group randomly by UA-cam and then went and looked them up. I started to go down the rabbit hole since then as I am so hooked with them. Now I am a big fan and can't get enough of them. I've been listened to all their songs, shows and even when into their livestreams. I wish one day i can see them live as I heard they sing live even better than recording. Love from Canada.

First of all, I recommend you listen to their "Bohemian Rhapsody" cover. I thought it was impossible for anyone to cover Queen's original songs properly, but they did it perfectly or more. Be sure to listen to je suis malade or Scarborough pair as well. Forestella is, I think, one of the best crossover group of the current generation. Not only do the covers take it to a different level, but their original songs are also very unique and beautiful.
