Made sure that didn't happen in classic and somehow got lucky enough to see it drop in less than 15 kills and won the roll as a rogue against a warrior. Felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders to not have to farm it anymore. There's warriors in my guild who did over 90 runs before they ever got it to drop. No thanks.
got it on my second run this time. After ~30 runs all 3 rogues had it. Pretty easy to do if you have 2 rogue friends. Stealth there, burst him down, loot, repeat. You can even sell HoJ for like 200-300g depending on your servers economy.
as fas as i know its pretty easy farmable with 3 people. if you are a warrio you tank + heal + caster (for belt in arena) and farm arena-angerforge in istance lockout time. easy to get it in 1 day, considering it's bis for pvp for like forever, some even use it deep into tbc
Love the video but, if i may ask. If not for those last 2 aimed shot crits, how would you have handled all the adds coming in, reservists ranging you and medic's healing angerforge?
Thanks! From what I've seen, they don't start healing instantly. I did several runs before HoJ dropped, and I wasn't that lucky with crits on every run. They never got to the point where they finished any heal casts. As you can see in the video they just run around casting fortitude lol.
@@SBcalz I realise resetting in Classic is kinda borked, how do you quickly reset and run this? (Also, mobs seem to turn to me when I try the alleyway with 10+ mobs, even if cat pulled them first. I've been just using a lesser invis pot to run it down)
@@Primaeva The offline character you see in the party is my alt. You just get someone to invite your main+alt before you start. When you want to reset you just log off main, log on alt. After being logged on alt for about 2 minutes you will get leader automatically. Reset and log on your main again. Mobs turning to you means you didn't stay out of line of sight long enough. You have to make sure all mobs in the first pack have started attacking the pet before you start running. If you have problems and don't want to burn invis pots you can just do it in two steps instead. (FD after the first group, wait for CD, do next group. But then you gotta time the Fire Guard patrol if you don't have Shadowmeld)

A bit risky to risk an FD resist, I rather pay the invis pot tax. Nevertheless thank you! I got him a few times and enjoy the experience really, since there's nothing else to do for the time being in between raids. If you re-uploaded explaining some of the finer points (slowly bring him down to 40% then wait till he's near ledge to pop up again so you have time to DPS him down during a full run, etc) I think that would help a lot of newbies out. Also I noted that the adds reset if you abort an attempt, you gotta come out of FD, wait 30 sec, then aggro them and FD, they'll despawn in like 10 secs and allow you to try Angerforge again (for those who fail to clutch the ledge)

@@galenbjorn443 In addition I actually melee a fuckton when grinding, once your gear passes pre-raid BiS your pet can no longer hold aggro and sometimes you have to beat a mob melee up from 60% onwards.

They dont! After DM release u can get a much better one by buying the book and returning it in the DM library. And then theres the +2% crit trinket from quest in UBRS. So this guide is useless unless you'r farming it for a melee

I managed to pull that off using a gorilla to kill the waves then running circles around the arena; draining the boss with serpent sting. The boss is way easier than the adds.
I mean, alliance hunters need HoJ as its the only trinket they can really get to fit 2 trinkets. No one is gonna run to emperor with you if youre only inviting casters. Warrior tanks are gonna want HoJ for dps spec as most warriors who go as tank actually play fury or arms. Rogues want it aswell. Practicly everyone who wants to run to the final boss will roll on the trinket.

Its BiS because of the AP. What you thought only warriors and rogues only need AP? If it was just the extra 2% atk chance I bet it wouldn't be on your BiS table. The fact is there is no other trinket that has that level of damage. Thats like a hunter saying "Why would warriors and rogues roll on Striker's bow?" They need it for the stat stick AP and added hit chance. As Calz said to someone else. Alliance hunters have no other option till phase 2
ive been soloing this as well, but rather than using this tactic (since since trying to do the wall jump can be tough), I set my pet on the corner of the ledge across and do the FD pet ping pong tactic, just like in dm tribute gordok fight.
