    Love that it's actually a skill I can learn with a little perseverance and then apply my own individuality. Well done and thank you for taking the time to teach the rest of us.

    Thank you Peter for this pop up flower! I just love it and plan to make several for my friends at my small senior center. I have been able to make your peony pop ups but they take a while to make. This card will be a bit faster and it will surprise my friends for their birthdays. Many have told me they keep every card I send them as it is so special. You truly have a gift and I am so happy you share it with us! Thank you!!!

    Successfully made one on my first try, definitely would have looked even nicer if I had been more careful with the creasing. As a tip for people wanting to save a bit of printing, the fourth page of the PDF template I would consider optional, it's just folding a sheet in half.

    Thank you so much! This is a design I often met in pop-ups but I was never encouraged to make one like after watching this video. Thanks for showing the many variations. By the way, I had a question about double sided tapes. In some videos about making pop ups I've seen some paper engineers use something like a regular tape but coated with adhesive on both sides. It's used with tape dispenser and it's very handy unlike the regular double sided tapes that have protective sheet between the sticky parts. Have you seen something like that? Anyway, please keep on making tutorials. They are wonderful!

    Mr. Peter, your kindness is clearly seen, by the way you explain to us , this intricate pop-up design flower. I thank you for providing us a template for this flower. I just printed the petals with no problem. I will be making a sample of the flower in the near future, to add to my collection of greeting cards.
    I just discovered your channel, in you tube, I have been watching them, just beautiful . I love the one on the exhibition of your work in 2011, and the others that you have, please continue with your designs.... for us OK ? Have you published any books ? what ar the names ? I would like to see Peacocks . Here in South Florida abound, specially in the open yards, They are just gorgeous,. Unfortunally we can' have them, we can only see them when THEY WANT TO DISPLAY THEIR FEATHERS TO THE WORLD. So, I have to be conformed with a paper/pop up Peacocks !!!

    • @Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign
      @Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign  2 роки тому

      Dear Roxene, many thanks for your kind comment. I am happy that you like my tutorial. The creation of these pop-up cards is not very time consuming, especially if you use colored paper (so you don't need to invest any time into the illustration). I recommend that you should just try it out. You will probably need less than an hour for your first attempt and you will definitely speed up the process with your next cards. I believe, such a card can be created in less than 15 minutes if you are a little more experienced. I am from Germany, sorry for strong accent. I hoped that it would have lessened over time but apparently it is still very strong. Good luck with you pop up cards and in learning the Russian language. (A language I don't speak.) Print it not in 100% size but in the DESIRED size. e.g. in 141 % . OR 2. Print the PDF file in 100% and use a photocopying machine to create a copy in the desired size. OR 3. Make a screenshot from the PDF fiel and use a software to re-scale the screenshot. Print the re-scaled file. I hope that I could help you. All the best, Peter

      Dear PotchouDoodle, thank you very much for your kind comment. I am very happy that you like my tutorial. However, I would like to ask you not to offer any plans (or files) for download. The idea behind my tutorial is that people should draw the exact petals themselves. This is the only way they can learn the principle that is the basis of this pop-up technique. I do not agree that this step should be replaced by a "ready made" template (or svg file) that users only need to download. (e.g. a template or an svg file for the Silhouette cutting machine). It is not allowed to offer my template (or similar plans) for download on your own website (or any other platform / social media). Please only link to my original PDF file on my website: peterdahmen.de/en/2018/08/26/flower/ Thank you very much! All the best, Peter

    • @PotchouDoodle
      @PotchouDoodle 3 роки тому

      @@Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign thank you so much. I understand perfectly. I won't offer the file. Then is it ok if I show in a quick tutorial how to import your file in the silhouette software to make their own design using your pdf that they would download from your website? If not I'll just keep it for me 😉 and only show the result.

    • @Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign
      @Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign  3 роки тому

      @@PotchouDoodle Many thanks for your kind reply. I am happy that you understand my point of view. IF you want to create a tutorial on how to import a file into the silhouette software, please don't use any of my templates. (To avoid copyright complaints, I recommend that you also should not use any other template that you have found on the internet). In best case, you should use a template that you have created on your own. Thank you. All the best, Peter

      Unfortunately you need a printer for this tutorial. You can print the templates in a copy shop or you may ask a friend to print them for you. There are also many instructions for pop-up cards for which you do not need a printer. You can find them on my website: peterdahmen.de/en/2018/04/03/useful-tips-and-links/ I wish you much fun and every success with the creation of your own pop-up cards! All the best, Peter

    Is there a way to do this without a tutorial

      Dear minggui67, when I created this tutorial and the templates, I myself found the best forms through trial and error. Just by testing different circles and diematers. So you can do it too - just try it out. If your first attempt is not successful - just try again. Wit each new model, you will become better and better. Eventually you will have the knowledge to create a flower pop-up card without using my tutorial / template. I wish you every success and much fun. All the best, Peter
