Favorite car of all time. The best thing I ever read about an Integrale was 'it has the aerodynamics of a brick but bricks can fly'. And it was Sega rally for me.
My first car (which I fell in love with) was a Fiat Punto mk2b (1.2 8v) when I was 17 back in 2015. I'd spend ages servicing it myself, then one day when I was topping up the oil, I noticed on the oil cap/bung it had "Lancia" along with the Lancia logo. Upon this I researched Lancia and was just blown away with its amazing history (besides the rusty Beta's). I hope some day I will own a Lancia Delta Integrale 8v (I prefer the lumpy exhaust tone), because if it's anything as fun as the Punto, mixed with it's heritage and pure character, it'd be my car for life. I love it, and seeing your face only proves how special it is :) Thank you for uploading this
I remember racing one of these through the roundabouts from Ringwood to Ferndown in the mid-nineties, I was on a Yamaha RD 350 YPVS and the Integrale was just as quick. Fantastic!!
Just discovered your channel today (Mini owner searching for upgrades) and am now wandering down the foxhole of your videos. Really enjoying it, I always was a massive fan of 80's rallying and loved the 6R4 (watched your video on that) and now the HF Integrale. Loving your videos, keep it up.
I'm jealous. I've always been a big fan of the S4. To be a passenger in a S4 "going for it" on a rally stage, forest or tarmac, would be my dream come true.
Thank you for uploading this video about such a great car in a variety of guises! You're a lucky person to have had the opportunity to drive three in one day. I'm so jealous!
Every video ive watched of yours has be spectacular. F56 owner who came for the mini and stayed for the rest of the awesome cars. Like these cars, being from the US ive never even seen one but this video def makes me want one. Keep it up!
+Gavin Mazey Cheers Gavin. This comment has made my day. I love my Minis too but it's great to know that people are enjoying the cars I am bringing them. Trying to do something a little different from other UA-camrs 👍
Truly truly special! Dream garage would definitely include a HF Integrale! What an experience! Aaaaaand a great video as always, clearly seeing you enjoy those cars, the rally spec just tops it all off. I'm loving the content you've been bringing us, totally unique anyone else at the moment, very lucky opportunities to have. 👍🚗
Absolutely brilliant. What a great video Peter, and without question one of my all time favorite cars. What a top chap Ellis seemed as well! Awesome upload.

Found you from a UA-cam rec for the 620r daily driver vid, then saw you had a vid on the "Holy 'grale" - instant sub from me sir. Hoping to import one here to Texas one day.
Black One is not for sale anymore! In a few weeks the black delta will be finished. Twin scroll turbo by scara73. Front mounted inter cooler bigger injectors and a lot more upgrades. Contact me if you want to take it for a comparison.
Oyes!! now we are talking mate. What a car the Delta is.Remember these cars rallying around the wood's. Really enjoyed this video.Arhh takes me back big time! How much is he asking for the black Delta :)
With more seat time and a closed road I think it would be off the scale. The faster it went the happier it was and the better noises it made ! I am going to do a followup film once the Giallo is run in :-)
My all time favourite cars too! So..the Gallo - the elephant on the HF badge is blue, rather than the standard red...is that something the owner has done or did the limited editions have that?
filski666 The Giallo had many changes from new, one of which was the final edition grill and badge. This was the first owners choice and not specific to the limited run of cars produced by lancia at the time.
There seems to be a million Giallo's .... hmmm ... I love my Lord Blue and if you buy beware. I had my modified 8v Rosso Monza for ten years which died of tin worm, now my Evo 2 is in for full resto after 11 years. Its going to full bare. I've owned Deltas since I was 18, age 21 with other cars. Best car in the world but they rot from beneath and not cheap to maintain. My daily is an Elise and others.... Never sell the grale!!! Please just remind yourself you are buying a drama queen. Hottest chick to look at and in bed but with flaws
8:55 understatement of the millenium right there... Anyone who can speak of a Lancia Delta or Fiat Strada in terms of "they do have areas that can rust" is most definitely a glass half-full type of person lol... My HF Turbo ie had rust everywhere that was steel and even some that were not... The trailing edge of the roof i recall being particularly bad & the rear suspension mount points/crossmember, but it was rotten all over. Still was fast and fun though while it lasted, especially for a 22 year old at the time.
Great video Ped! Only thing I have to point out is the giallo pronunciation: it's more a "jallo" as in Jaguar 😉 The italian inside me couldn't let that pass haha Sad to see what has become of the Lancia brand today
Maintenance costs will bankrupt you. Can't imagine why the giallo one needed an engine rebuild as the engines are pretty reliable providing they are looked after and not abused or neglected. Also they need a roll cage as the shell is not that strong as it flexes like mad on a track day driving them full beans. On mine the roof warped due to the torsional stresses from each corner with the 4WD, four doors and a tailgate the shell just isn't strong enough. Also you get cracks in the floors around the where the front subframe mounts adjacent to the footwells so ideally strengthening plates need to be welded in place. Just some of the huge costs of ownership if you drive these cars like they should be driven. But they were best as rally cars not track or road cars.
Hopefully I'll get to see one at the concorso d'eleganza (it's a car show at lake Como in Italy, about 10 minutes from where I live I'll try to make a video out of it and put it on my channel (mysteriogamer001) and on Facebook (Oliver Garrod) I've already made a montage of the London classic car show a few months ago If you add me one Facebook I can send you some pics of some of the cars I saw
there were 2 limited edition giallo evos..... "giallo ferrari evo1 400 built and "giallo ginestra" evo2 ... a batch of 220 built.... although according to Paul Bakers book it was always available to order should you want one..... so apparently there were actually more than 220....
Great video Peter. Fiat used that Lancia 16 valve 2 litre 4 pot when they launched the Fiat Coupe in 1994. Fastest front wheel drive production car at the time. They dropped it in 1996 for their own 20 valve 2 litre 5 cylinder engine producing another 25 bhp taking the power up to 220 bhp. Love you to drive one Peter. See what you think. :) The Fiat Coupe club have arranged a huge meeting near Tewkesbury on 17/06/17 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Fiat Coupe form. FCCUK.org. Full details on the website but we are expecting 50 plus coupe's over that weekend.
That's really interesting. Let me take a look and see if I'm free :-) I remember the Coupe well. I had a friend that bought a 20v one. They just looked so cool !
Hi Great video, always loved the Lancia Integrale and great to see 3 in this amazing video Just a minor point, the name giallo (italian for yellow) was mispronouced as gallo It's actually more like....gee-al-lo (sorry that's the best I can word the pronunciation) ciao John
Really strange watching this video, that yellow integrale was my husbands, sold about 12 years ago, one of four he owned, this one was definitely his favourite
man, when I see such reviews I'm on the verge of a breakdown... Sergio Marchionne former AD of FCA said it was impossible keeping Lancia alive: it's a brand without international appeal, it's too much bound to italy and similar bullshits. 11 world rally championships won, 6 among those were won consecutively... Just wondering: only italians know the story??? I really thank you to testify the exact contrary of what Marchionne was thinking 👍
I'm a heterosexual male and have been married happily for 28 years but I am quite prepared to love a man and kiss him every night and make him porridge in the morning if I can drive his rally cars.
you dont say what makes the giallo edition special and different from the standard hf integrale and you dont show any exterior shots of the black lancia
Ross Rossiter the Giallo ginestra as this is is an EVO 2..... special edition features are the yellow paint and black high back seats with yellow stitching.... there was no plaque in this Ltd edition.
basically a yellow evo 2, there was several limited editions, one for yellow, green, etc. the edizione finale was the only limited edition of significance above other evo 2. the evo 1 was the important car as it had the big turbo and fewer comforts to homologate the group a cars, the evo 2 was like the cosworth escort small turbo with more sound insulation, electric windows and unnecessary comfort and a more responsive small turbo.
@@theant9821 evo 1 has electric windows too! Your right about the turbos mind.... the evo 2 has a.c. as standard... high back seats... blue glass... big rain gutters... 16 " wheels.... red cam cover.... coil pack ignition and catalyst. Momo corse steering wheel.... the evo 1 was the last version homologated for competition.. the evo2 was the run out model making standard many of the features of the evo 1 limited editions... Verde York, martini 5,6 etc... evo 1 is more tuneable but I love my evo2... best car in the world.
Sorry but I had to give this the down thumb here's why; almost no technical information. You see I have a '93 Alfa 155Q4 that, due to a failed timing belt right after I got swindled on her purchase, she's now demanding an engine build on. I had hoped to drive her in stock configuration for awhile and then do a performance build at the time of my choosing however fate has stepped in and soundly changed those plans. Now back to the video. Since my Alfa has the same engine, transmission and all wheel drive system as the Integrale I was keenly interested in hearing all about the performance modifications that have been done on both of the Deltas featured in your video. Well I guess that I'll have to do with knowing that the second Delta is built to 350 hp and that it's turbo kicks in at 4,000rpm. Thanks
I 'm born and raised American and cannot figure out why some car brands are sold while others are totally illegal? I'd just love to own one of these and it's not an option. I know it's not the end of the world but it makes not sense. Do you Europeans have an interest in our sports cars but cannot legally own them?
Hi there. I get comments like this a lot, where I feature a car on my channel and it's not available in the US (I had one that was not allowed in Germany too recently !). I'm really not sure why you guys ban some cars or some brands choose not to launch cars in the states. When can pretty much import anything over. We just have to be happy to have the steering wheel on the 'wrong' side ;-)
The only rally car we have here is the Subaru WRX STI otherwise it's a market full of poor handling chevy's and fords. I'm just a dreamer, so even if we had the Lancia brand here I'd stil be driving my Mitsubishi Mirage. I'am a college educated person that is stuck only making $13.25/hr at AMAZON, this country is full of dreams that go unrealized. Here is what I feel about my country but summarized best by comedian George Carlin ua-cam.com/video/acLW1vFO-2Q/v-deo.html I apologize for my poor me tone but I'm sure many people feel this way.
Certain cars in Europe were built with a single purpose, but for homologation rulings a certain amount had to be built for the consumer market, these cars generally did not meet US emissions nor its stupid 5mph impact crash regulations. There is also a lot of corporate protectionism within the US to protect certain brands and models from direct competition with other regions equivalent models, pick up trucks are a good example. As for US sports cars they have a following but are not massively popular, this is more to do with different driving cultures, America more or less built her cities around the motor car, wide lanes, long straight roads, here in Europe the car had to deal with city infrastructure that could well be a thousand years old, so narrow twisty conditions.
At least you never had an era of land yachts or monster trucks that take two spaces. Cars aren't built for fun anymore, no including cars 100k or more, but all the manufacturers are in competition for green vehicles. I'll most likely never even own an RX-7, my dream car, because of not having a garage to do engine rebuilds and upgrades. I try to keep my dreams grounded or I'll just end up unhappy and disappointed.
Favorite car of all time. The best thing I ever read about an Integrale was 'it has the aerodynamics of a brick but bricks can fly'. And it was Sega rally for me.
Oh yes...always wanted one of those arcade machines at home :-)
bricks can fly: designers of the F4 Phantom were of the same opinion 😁 Proof that's true if you have enough HPs (or thrust)
My first car (which I fell in love with) was a Fiat Punto mk2b (1.2 8v) when I was 17 back in 2015. Had a evo 2 plus 2x280 injection capris Clio v6 and a turbo 2 tvr 400 nothing comes close.
I am sure it was a day that you will never forget, brilliant to watch let alone to drive. Very lucky indeed. Nice one

I loved these so much when they came out. Great to see you enjoying them.
They are getting a lot of love so far. Not a single thumbs down yet :-)
@Fezza There is another for sale in Ped's latest video..... Get on it
Both Lancia Delta HF Integrale road and WRC ver. are truly the best. 😀🏎🏁🏆
Great feature video! Nice inters Ellis :)
Thanks 🙏🏻

Auto Integrale just built my new engine. They really know there stuff
They sure do !
Ellis , it,s a credit to you.LOVE THEM
So do I 🙂 thank you!
Great video and awesome cars! My brother has 1988 Lancia Delta HF Integrale, absolutely amazing car. It is so much fun to drive, steering is extremely accurate and it behaves absolutely amazingly. I kind of like the Dr Jekyll vs Mr Hyde dual personality of these older performance cars, integrale's engine is nothing special below 4000-4500 rpm but after that it becomes a beast (my 1993 M3 is similar in that sense even though it is naturally aspirated and much bigger engine)

Simply awesome Lancia!!!!
Agreed. It was a very special day !
You looked like you enjoyed that. I remember watching these on TV. Mega cars and always looks great in the Martini colours. You lucky bugger ! ;o)

Hi
A nice video, well done. I sold an Evo 2 early last year and its missed very much. These are great cars and need properly looking after.
Cheers Tony. I bet you do miss it. Such a fab car !
Great great great.

Thanks Lisa. Which was your favourite ?
love the rally scratch that love all of them but rally would deff be a dream come true
It was certainly my dream come true !
The owner is a cool dude !!!
He sure is !
I see what you mean about amazing
Yup...a very special couple of cars !
There seem to be a lot of Giallo specials, I think Lancia made way more than they stated.
I'm not sure, but safe to say they are all special though ;-)
many were repainted maybe :D

Me too 👍
proper chap! proper car! proper video!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Nice! I'm totally envious.
It was a dream come true for me :-)
You mentioned that the black one was for sale. Any closer to buying one?
Maybe one day ;-)

Really strange watching this video, that yellow integrale was my husbands, sold about 12 years ago, one of four he owned, this one was definitely his favourite
No way 😮
man, when I see such reviews I'm on the verge of a breakdown...
I'd love to see a modern version of these stunning cars, instead we have the Ypsilon 😂
"It doesn't like being driven slow"
No...race cars never do 👍
Are rally cars allowed to be driven on public roads??
When they have an MOT, Insurance and Road Fund Licence....YES 👍
legendary car and u a lucky dude ... :)
I am indeed. Still one of the best driving experiences of my life so far !
Nice Video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :-)
I LIKED IT
I'm a heterosexual male and have been married happily for 28 years but I am quite prepared to love a man and kiss him every night and make him porridge in the morning if I can drive his rally cars.
Just spat my tea out 😂😂😂
❤❤❤
How many horses? the Martini one
About 300 👍
@@PetrolPed Yes "Biasion time"!.
Time to try a Renault 5 Turbo 2.
:0)
Oh yes !
I wonder if it needed a rebuild because of getting thrashed by Harry Metcalf. That is his old Integrale, isn't it?
No, I have owned this for.over 20 years, Harry bought his a decade or so later.
@@ellismendelson8051 right, thanks. I can see why you hung onto it!
The symbol on the hood reminds me of a rotor from a Wankle engine.

this lancia is legend. pity that current lancia are totally shitty.
Sadly you aren't far from the truth :-(
you dont say what makes the giallo edition special and different from the standard hf integrale and you dont show any exterior shots of the black lancia
The video wasn't about the black one, it was a last minute thing to drive it and I didn't take any exterior shots...sorry :-(
Ross Rossiter the Giallo ginestra as this is is an EVO 2..... special edition features are the yellow paint and black high back seats with yellow stitching.... there was no plaque in this Ltd edition.
basically a yellow evo 2, there was several limited editions, one for yellow, green, etc.
the edizione finale was the only limited edition of significance above other evo 2.
the evo 1 was the important car as it had the big turbo and fewer comforts to homologate the group a cars, the evo 2 was like the cosworth escort small turbo with more sound insulation, electric windows and unnecessary comfort and a more responsive small turbo.
Verde York, martini 5,6 etc... evo 1 is more tuneable but I love my evo2... best car in the world.
please make the owner of those beauties UK Prime Minister.
Good shout 😂
Hanyiiiing....asik baingiiits
Colin Mcrae Rally.. the good old times
The kids of today don't know what they are missing !!!!
It was like 800 car
Thanks
Not what the video was about. Sorry 😢
Lancha!
Yep 👏
CronusandRhea ZeusandHera I thought you could import when a car reaches 25 years...i know they are starting to appear now.
Without a speedometer it must surely be illegal to drive on a public road!
Is it allowed to drive around with a cage in Britain ?
It isn't in France because it's too secure (No joke)
Yep, we can have half and full roll cages on the road in Britain.
You cannot drive it in Portugal too. Maybe too secure also....
damn dude :O
Oh yeah 👌
Unfortunately FCA has decided to close Lancia...
Boo !
