I figured this would be a good day cooler. I have a Klein cooler which keeps ice for 3-4 days and has much bigger capacity but it is HEAVY. This cooler is great with my toolboxes and keeps my drinks cool, and it can't drain out in my truck.
I bought one when they first dropped. I too was severely disappointed with it. Pros: 1: It works with their stackable tool storage. 2: It is robust and tough Cons: 1: For $40 - $60, you can buy a Coleman cooler that will keep ice for 3 or 4 days compared to this. 2: They made this in a dumb size internally. Had they made it just an inch or two taller internally, you could stand two 12oz. cans on top of each other. 3: It's heavy for what it is! For a cooler with no insulation, and the small capacity, why does it weigh so much? This thing should be about $50 for what it is. It works ok for a small capacity "day" cooler, and it works with their tool storage system. It's just overpriced.
Great review. I wonder if when someone drills out a drain plug if there is no insulation in it. If not maybe drill some holes in outer shell and fill with window and door foam.
You know I was thinking that actually would be a nice size Lunch box! Something else, I wonder if it would keep things hot like on the way to like prayer breakfast? Appreciate the video!
I freeze 2 liters for my big cooler. But my small lunch cooler only fits frozen water bottles. I wonder if a 2 liter on its side if I still have room for lunch. Side note. I like the grooves. I bet someone 3d printed a divider which might be handy as well.
They picked grey instead of black because black holds heat. It would make the ice melt even quicker if it was black.

I guess a plus to not having a drain it, it can’t leak! Never looked at it that way. Thanks for the comment 👍🏽
Great honest review .
I'm over in East Tennessee.
This is the only Ridgid box I've not bought yet.
You can alway buy a drain plug and add it in.
If I decide to buy one I will add a drain.
I was thinking about the same thing! Thanks for the comment

I agree with you on all points my friend. Great observations!!

I think it would be great for that.!!
Is it brushless?
Great question 🤣 thanks for the comment 💪🏽
With yeti rtic all rotomolded cooler big cooler not a lot of space 😂😂😂😂 this is good.
True that!. Thanks for the comment
I think the nice thing is do you have somewhere where you can get free ice not that it keeps things cold
I freeze 2 liter bottles I refill with water. As it melts it keeps my lunch cold and I drink the water that melted when needed. No ice bill that way.
Try ice packs instead ice cubes, you'll probably like 'em better.
I’ll give it a try. That would definitely solve “my no drain plug” issue. Thanks for the comment.

Sorta disappointed in ridgid, have been a ridgid user for a long time, with a little more thinking or design ,could have been so nice
