Can somebody please help me with this question. Is there a time limit in Congress for when they can pass a law. Thank you any insight would be appreciated.
This only works if the legislative branch is separate and independent from the executive branch. These day, they're looking more like a 'praise the leader' type of branch.
I came to learn because I want to pass a bill to get tax credits for planting Trees (via donation to A Billion Trees campaign or similar tree planting campaigns). Anyone else? What bill would YOU pass?
I'd submit a bill to become law that would penalize Congress if a balanced budget is not passed. I would also amend the constitution to term limits for all of Congress.
Khan academy for president 2020

Good job explaining. Many Americans think the President's is the one solely responsible for all bills/laws.
I come here because my professor attached this video in canvas
Thank you very much. It’s very helpful to me.
I am already starting to love US Civics!!
HR1 stands for House Resolution 1. No house of reps lol

Yes, I think party politics should not have anything to do with the way we vote laws.
If a bill is passed in the Senate. Does it still need to go through a house committee?
So, if a bill passes in House goes to senate and fails does it go back to the House to get worked on? And can senate make changes/suggestions?
lobbyists present the finished bill to 'our' lawmakers along with fat campaign contributions.
they vote 'yes'.
the end.
eric vulgate genius conclusion! 👏🏽
That's absolutely disgusting how such a thing exists in our government!
The author of this video sounds exactly like Don Lemon. Lol.
I just wanna knowwho actually WRITEA the bills.

Is this part of a khan academy lesson?
yeah
how a bill becomes a law, 2017 edition, a corporation writes a bill and throws money to republicans until it becomes a law
They also have the republicans word it vaguely and innocently
wow, i had no clue democrats were immune to corporate influence, lol @ your naivety, all politicians are the same (red, blue, it doesn't matter)
I Love you All
Entirely correct
I Love you All You are correct but people are too gulible and actually think their political party is on their side.
Im assuming they know what they're doing, but this looks so complicated

FROM NOW ON ALL NATIONS LAWS ARE MANDATORY TO BE APROAVE BY GENERAL PUBLIC
Government can’t create laws. That’s called playing god.
Only the belief in the religion of government can lead one to believe it creates laws.
