I can't believe it ! ! Am I actuallly sitting right in front of the Maestro himself as he plays ! ! ? This is miraculous if you think about it...It's 3 clearly separate voices such that I can almost see a trio in a marble plaza in the Mediterranean with an intimate crowd gathered around Francisco with picnic basket lunches and merlot wine, as he sends them to dreamsville with his mastery of Italian and Spanish guitar music and composition that they always can rely on on hot evenings whenever he feels like showing; which is frequent in the summer. It's so peaceful and serene in the la plaza near the fountain and the stone walls this angelic music reflects off of giving the instrument natural amplification and slight echo...The town is grateful that Senior Tarrega lives so close them. The gas lamps and candles burn long into the evening, the heavenly music goes on and on......................

Tarrega was the greatest Guitar composer to ever live. His brilliant techniques and artistry was second to none, since his first compositions, to the modern guitarists of today. No one ever came close. He will forever be known as the supreme master of the guitar. Look for his few early recordings. They sound terrible, as technology was a bit crude at the time, but his playing is still light years beyond the fold.
There is no justification for saying that no one else came close. He was not a great composer. None of the guitarist composers were great, only some good ones, such as Giuliani, Sor, Aguado, Tarrega, Llobet, Barrios. Tarrega's music doesn't sound more deep to theirs, and it isn't more ambitious. Barrios is considered by some classical guitarists (including John Williams) to be the best composer for guitar. None of them wrote music for the guitar that was as great or profound as the greatest composers of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods.

Hola Orloro.
