Good Morning from Sunny Ontario
Having some unusually warm weather....
And loving it...
Pete from Canada 🇨🇦
Morning!
Pete,
Isn’t the weather glorious? We will pay in January/February!
@@oldmanfred8676 you are so right, but for now....
@@peteatthefarm4459,
We will take it and be thankful!
Hey guys!
One suggestion if you don’t already have it. Get a fire extinguisher in the new building ASAP. Kinda like a gun, it’s good to have around if you ever really need it!
Carbon monoxide detector too! 😎
Good advice here. Put a large one in each corner of the building. Lots of wood inside the building.
@@davidmorse8432 I agree with that, two large ABC extinguishers. I would also put a couple of pressurized water extinguishers where a lot of wood is being stored a small cap full of detergent and it sprays a lot of foam for quite a while they last a lot longer than the ABCs. When they're spent you have to take them someplace to get them recharged. With the water ones all you need is an air compressor and a water hose, just for wood , not oil, grease, electric or any of that!
Man that's a nice building 👍🪵🔥🚜
Good morning from the farm in the western Ozarks. Mild and windy today ahead of forecast rain tomorrow. Another week of the 40s F at night, 70s in the day, then just as prescribed for deer season, we switch to 30-50. For our international friends, that’s 5-8/18-22C this week, 0/10C next. Good for work this week, hunting next week.
I’m brushing in blinds and setting up mock scrapes today, then repairing a stretch of fence where a tree decided it wanted the space more than I did. I’ll win this battle, but not without casualties. And the forest will eventually win the war.
Good morning Mike! You get more stuff done by lunch than I do all day!👍😆
Wow awesome Wow Wow Wow
Thanks for sharing enjoy watching so much
I had a older Ford truck with a 390 in it. When I sold it there was over 300K on it and it ran great. Real good engine like chevy's 327
Great video today Mike. You are correct, these are two very different Woodsplitters. Equipment should be bought that produces the product your customers are asking for. Production isn't everything. Quality and consistency is important to gain long term customers.
I loved my 390 Ford Torino GT back in the day
Without a doubt. Outdoors with the Morgan’s is the best UA-cam channel ever!!!
Can the fire starter y’all sell be use for starting charcoal in my charcoal grill.
That ting would be great for "splits" for smokers.
Your building will certainly be a great spot to play and work in the winter with that wood burner and the radiant heat. And that old Ford truck is a keeper!
Mikey, regarding the 2 circulating fans you mentioned in the new building to move the woodstove air from the game room side into the garage side.....
I think you will be better off with 1 fan mounted up high moving the hot air from the game room side and another fan mounted low near the floor to move the cold air from the garage side back to woodstove. At least, that has been my experience heating with wood.
I would think the Spit Force would be faster and easier than the Wolfe Ridge! I think I like the Spite Force better!
Mike I saw on another channel the same brand splitter with duel stations for splitting that would pound out the wood
Sounds like Tom and the crew are coming to WV.
You outdid yourself!! The old Ford had a Chief Wahoo decal. That was heartwarming! Early morning fog, moving all your machinery, then splittin' wood! You used your tractor bucket for staging (such an elegant solution to solve backaches!). Your elevator was moving at a sensible pace, enough to carry the wood, not so fast to wear itself out by dinnertime! How big is the engine on the Split Force? Mine's 15 hp, but yours is way faster, although I never run mine at full throttle. Try to keep it at about 80%. Just a great video!! Even the corners were interesting!
Love the powersplit. The only drawback that I’ve learned from watching videos is that the pedal has a longer action that the Axis. The Acis has a great suspension for towing but is impractical for moving from site to site because it’s so heavy. The ability to move the PS around the yard is fabulous and combined with precise split capabilities, you are spot on that it’s a great woodyard machine. If I ever decide to process more than 30 cord per year, I’ll own one too! Great for the bundle portion of your business.
I like your thought process related to machine/equipment use and versatility so pretty please answer a question: I need a dump trailer and want it to be as versatile as possible. I’m thinking that a flatbed that I can mount a electric winch and small boom in to hoist big rounds from other locations would be helpful and more versatile than a standard sided unit. I can always add sides hen hauling split wood, gravel, and soil and would like to be able to mount a splitter in the trailer to split into totes that I can fork off from the sides.
Any thoughts on this idea? I also want a goose neck for maneuverability.
Awe your breaking Wranglerstars big wood on the bottom, starter on top theory Mike lol ! Have a day !
Did you know that Andrew from Eastonmade Gave you a good plug for your fire starter last week on one of his videos. I found that surprising considering you don’t even use his products which are the best products out there.
hi there nice splitter single split means less trash john
Mike I alway see you splitting clean rounds. How does it do on branch pieces and odd shaped pieces.
My dad said everybody needs a go to he#& truck . The kind of truck you can get dirty with . Blueford is that truck . Great video , thanks .
Wow a manual choke. Haven’t seen one of those for a while.
The Split Force would be great for the smaller operator/home style unit. Also only has one motor to do all jobs and should be cheaper than the Wolf Ridge.
Another great video Mike, man you have two awesome splitters there, not sure which one I like better as both are awesome and get the job done. Love how the building is coming out, when done it's going to be so great!! Jay from Pa.
Wold you consider buying the split Force 11/16,
👍👍👍👍👍👌Mesmerizing watching the wedge going up and down slicing the rounds into the perfect size, busy video lots of action, touched all the bases
Good morning Morgan’s! 45 degree start here in South Jersey, but going to 70 today. Have a day!
Hello Morgans, absolutely love your videos, you all are doing great keep it up. Not loving the strange annoying music. I wish I was as skilled at operating your equipment as you are. Great new property anxious to see the development!!!!
Congrats on reaching 300K!
Hi Mike ! I don't know if you consider yourself an artist--but i do. your filming , editing and MUSIC are top notch. great videos !
Yeah I've got the same problem , my spare tire keeps me from bending very far and my knees need grease zerks!
You got a great shoutout from the Hauses this morning, thought it was neat! 😊
Please continue with the background music, OH YEA

Good morning Mike, did you buy the split force or are you just trying it out? How much does that model cost?
Hi Mike! A Split Force like the one you are using cost how much?
It'd be kinda cool to see a timed comparison between your Woodridge splitter/conveyor and the upright splitter. Same number of pieces to split and see which is faster (I always make comments before the video finishes.. LOL).
I think blue would win
Good morning, Mike. I had a comment on the last video with this splitter about putting your finished pieces to your right side, but I didn't send it. You figured it out. I do have another comment on what you did today. When you have a round split and ready to go into the conveyor, just push the whole bundle at once into the hopper rather than handling each piece individually with your left hand. I'm sure you're going to figure that out as well. Like the idea of unloading from the dump trailer at waist height.
I would prefer the Wolf Ridge for my firewood because I have an outdoor wood furnace, and I like large chunks to go into it. I also use up to 22" lengths in the furnace. My furnace will actually hold longer pieces than what the splitter can split. What is the longest round the Wolf Ridge will handle? Sometimes, I have to split my rounds from the side if my round is too long, but that is not a problem for the splitter I have. Unfortunately, I don't have the wings to catch the pieces, which means I have to manually lift them back up onto the splitter for additional splits. One problem for me is the door to the fire box in so small, that it can not take pieces that are to wide. Large pieces are best for overnight fires in extreme cold weather.
Have a great day and as always, be careful.
Exactly, well said, and hold the round in the middle so you don't have to worry about your fingers. I like how versatile it is for a single engine self propelled, splitter, variable speed conveyer, controlled splits and very little trash. Also great for large or small rounds and you're not bent over, so easy on the back too. Nice smooth lift for large rounds.
Your exactly right about keeping the log as a hole until it’s all split then with your right hand, you slide it in the conveyor.
Also, keep the log as close to the beam as you can.
Another trick when you have larger logs then the wedge is to remove a third of the log then rotate it 90 degrees then remove another third. You put those 2 pieces aside and split them after youre done splitting the log you resized properly to fit the wedge.
Hopefully no one gets offended by the sticker on the dashboard of Blueford too. Great work. Have a productive day.
Your recirculation fans to your garage could cause an issue with carbon monoxide to your entertainment room.
How?
@@rajbeekie7124 Vehicle exhaust.
Are you making "toothpicks" Mike??????? Wise Mike ... you're not handling each log five times.
Good morning Mike, I like that split force Splitter can you tell me how low does the conveyor go when it’s all the way down on the piston? I would like to know only because of the height of my sheds, so I could just pump right into the shed, thank you Joe
Mike, what are you using for the radiant floor heat? traditional hot water heater or some sort of wood burning hot water heater?
I think he is using an electric boiler for a backup on extra cold days.
Love the foggy cinematography!
Mike…your film editing and music combo has really improved…congratulations
Great video Mike
Hi Mike! A Split Force like the one you are using cost how much?
No answer, been asked 3 times
That’s a lot of stove for that much insulation, put timers on the fans so that you can set them at night. I hope you put a toidy in that barn; wood make a good guest quarters!
Great job on the idle down" on the splitter motor ,,many just shut the engine off after it has been running wide open and don't even know the harm that it does,,all motors should be done that way, video went great with my morning coffee, thanks ,!
Hey Mike, aren’t you offended by that Cleveland Indian sticker in the ford truck?🤣
Be sure and vote my friend!!!
Oh yes! Cutting, splitting and stacking wout once having to bend over and lift the weight is most definitely working smarter! When you finish that project you slide into the next w a smile and no pain! I agree w you 100% on the blue splitter, being able to size your wood so easily. On a busy day I can see you and Melissa splitting on the Wolfridge, loading into the bunker and Levi splitting w the blue into the dump trailer making bundle wood to be wrapped. Wow. 8 hours a day for one week would knock next winter's supply out, up and finished! Not that you'd do that but it could be done. Very nice! Another channel in Florida decided to upgrade from their Wolfridge. This splitter takes the whole pole, moves it into position, a fixed chainsaw cuts the round dropping it down. Move pole forward and round gets split. But....the wedge is not big enough to split the round completely. The operator has to reach down inside the machine and lift half round pieces out and over the wedge to push it through again. The splits go up a conveyor and drops into a basket like yours. Not stacked, just dropped and they sell that amount for $100. I still think you've got the best setup I've seen. Having the right tools for a job will save not only time but your back also! I really enjoyed Off The Leash yesterday, Stanley and Ruger was such a touching video, it really touched my heart, loved it. Thank you and Melissa for giving us such good wholesome content. This type of content is needed so much today. You guys are awesome, I love you all.👍🚜❤🇺🇸🇺🇸
SOUNDS LIKE IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO GO GET A 1000 GALLON DIESEL TANK MIKE... HERE WE GO BACK TO 1973 and FUEL SHORTAGES ... GET IN LINE !
It’s good you can’t rev the log splitter what’s with the revs on the chainsaw for no reason??? 😂 😂😂still love yeah
Good morning all. Looking forward to seeing cabin project in WV.
Us too!
Fantastic video
You really are a great story teller
My opinion the blue splitter (can't remember the name), is perfect for firewood bundles?
I like the splitforce simply because it's a vertical unit. Looks like the table is waist high. It appears it saves on the back. I would love to see Eastonmade do a self propelled unit with the axis speed. That is a super machine imho. Also how's the diesel situation there?
Great video mike
Love it 2022 and the Hiboy manual choke. Shows the Newbees how combustion engines are suppose to start and run! Awesome set up with new splitter and dump trailer. Making work easier saving the back!
Sure looks like the Blue thing is faster and easier foot pedal.
You sure not have open flame with poly even in wood oven why take chances we always use the hot air blower and had it outside like under a porch like you have and it would heat the place up fine you can rent them they don't cost much but I wouldn't run the wood stove when you're doing the poly
I've seen in a couple of videos big loads of logs being delivered, where do you get them and what should I expect to pay for them ?
I can see the benefit of of the self-propelled but the design doesn't allow for the shards and other waste/debris to get off the work platform, so it very quickly fills up rather than falling through a grate. If you're selling premium hospitality-grade firewood where you need extremely consistent 2" square firewood pieces the vertical self-propelled splitter is the way to go, but otherwise it's not worth the extra clean up required compared to a push-through splitter.
Why didn't you dive the splitter to the shed? Seemed it would have been less work.
Looks like a nice stove but I would never buy a front loader.
GOOOOOOD
MAAAAAAAAWNIN EVERYONE!!…..little foggy here in Virginia Beach this morning too Mike…loved the opening to this video & your editing skills…looking forward to watching yinz progress
Thanks again for sharing

HELLOOOO Hunter!!😊
Good morning!
Mawnin yourself, Jack! In the western Ozarks on the farm for about 3 weeks. Dawned overcast and windy here, but about 60F/15C and it has cleared to sunny and high clouds already.
mr hause told his guys roadtrip next year to wv
Too bad that mobile splitter doesn't have a 4 way splitter attachment
put a plow an that old truck for your camp
I would use the skidsteer myself, but the truck would be fun too! 😎
Hi Mike. I saw Tom's current video and he commented on how many requests he had gotten to help you and you getting those replies sent back to you. Seems like a fun thing as he told his guys today, they will have a road trip next year. I am sure everyone was glad to help out. Have good days!
Mike: Wasn’t there a neighbor lady that had some big oaks that needed to come down?

Good afternoon, God bless you all & have a vlessed day
Mike, That is the perfect size firewood .
I don’t know I just like it…OWTM,s
It’s pooky when it’s Phogy!
Good morning Fred 😊😊🌅👍

Evan, 👍😎
I think I'm sold on the new splitter, especially for bundled firewood as you mentioned. It seems you get far more 'squared off' pieces which in my mind makes for faster and easier bundles. However, the 4 and 6 way splitter for bulk makes a lot of sense as well. Carry on and enjoy what you're doing. You got it covered!
I got those harbor freight saw horses and I took some 1x4x 40" long and put 1.5 x1 " boards on the bottom edges and fit it over the sawhorse to make a 40" wide sawhorseso I could put a door down to stain easier for me. Plus sheet metal fits better to cut.
I'd think with a 3/4 way wedge you'd cut your splitting time in half. Just my thoughts.
Got the stickers on the tailgate yet?, I like that new splitter. Mid 70s here the last few days
Take care
Mike, I am a fan of the wood stove! I’m looking forward to Melissa cooking a big pot of stew on that bad boy. I like the self-propelled splitter and it’s blue (I said that for my grandsons who like blue). Which one requires more work on your part? Good luck on the pad!
@armsfamilyhomestead has a vertical splitter similar to that one and he enjoys it.
Big changes coming to 'Morgan Park'.
Love the truck and the bronco
Hi Mike, something well worth considering on the prefab cabin. If you were to go with a full basement with 7 foot ceiling height for the cabin and if it can be located on a slope, you could then have a walk out basement with two 4 foot wide (double door, 8 foot total width) that provides you with easy access safe indoor storage for tools and other equipment.
Great video Mike!, your explanation of the splitters was great, both are great machines!. Morgans good day!.
@OWTM I would watch more of your videos but youtube has chosen to eliminate my "SORT by Oldest" video function....very sad.
Thanks for sharing Mike. Awesome videos, and thanks for the education.
You’ve re-invented firewood production for the elderly.
Take care Mike, all the best, and God bless.
I have been using the Powersplit as a wheelbarrow to move wood around the yard, put the conveyor on slow fill to the top and then put the wood anywhere you want!! its such a great tool!👍🏼
As a Cleveland area native (although now in the sticks) thank you for keeping The Chief in your Hi-Boy and not caving........
Diesel fuel is running out if you haven't already heard. About a 19 day supply left today. Reports of East coast rationing already. Also Kentucky ,Washington State and Oregon. Already running out or very low. Get your tanks filled. Just a heads up. Loved the video.
Must be nice...I use an axe.
Might just be my imagination, but it looks to me like you're making much smaller pieces on the Splitforce than you usually do on your other splitter. Could be that it's just more convenient for doing more splits on the same round.
Hi Mike, Melissa and the whole family! Love your videos. What happened with Levi and Kate's channel?
Good morning Mike, great video. I have a question for you. What do you use to mark your logs at 16", chalk? Thanks in advance for you help. Hope you are having a great day.
need a 3way attachment for splitter
Hey, love your channel. Watching it now. Question??
I want to start a channel but would like to know a good camera set up. I have an iPhone but looking for something maybe remote because I’m an amputee and mobility is an issue. Looking for a simple start up kit with camera, mic, handle or stand. Also beat options for mounting to truck, tractor, etc?
Thanks so much and keep up the great work!
