    There is a bug with the shared visibility of Cree. Once you are their ally, Kandy stops producing a relic for both you and the cree and you stop getting a free envoy when being the first civ to meet a city state. If you are playing the cree this is a bummer because it will simply mean no more envoys by meeting city states and no more Kandy relics.

    Something interesting to talk about is when do you decide on a victory plan? In previous videos you have said that if you want a culture victory having your Theater Squares all placed by turn 120 is what to look for.
    How about Science and Domination? How soon do you start planning towards winning?

    • @elsanto2401
      @elsanto2401 2 роки тому +26

      Domination has stages.
      1. Archer and warrior stage, if you have a weak or scaling neighbor invade them and coast on the early power jump
      2. walls and crossbowman. avoid war unless your civ gets a big power spike. Focus on science and gold
      3. bombards and heavy cavalry. figure out if you can beat your neighbors and either take em or pivot to science
      4. planes and tanks. if you're still domination build your airpower and look for strategic resources like oil, uranium, and aluminum.
      Religion is turn one, culture is after your settle spam about when you get drama and poetry, science can be delayed as long as you've been keeping up, and domination has moments where you say "i can invade now"

    I think a Harbor would be better in Xochialco. It has 3 adjacency compared to the 1 (once you have the Campus) from the Commercial Hub, and while the buildings have no base gold yield, they _do_ improve the 4 remaining lake tiles in the city, turning them from 1f0p1g into 2f1p3g tiles (once you have a Seaport), as well as giving 3-4 production from Shipyard (6-8 with adjacency bonus card, but that card doesn't seem worth it this game). In addition, it gives housing, so your city won't ever have housing problems, and the trade route and gold from city-state bonuses are equal between Harbor and Commercial Hub.
    Or, in other words, it's the only way to make those five lake tiles really worth it; otherwise they're just lost tiles like tundra, desert or mountains.

      @@JacksonOwex The ability to capture enemy units as builders is only for the Eagle Warrior unit, not the civ itself, and it's only when the Warriors themselves attack, not when defending from a melee attack. For some reason Civ is just a game that I really like to watch being played, but one I end up struggling to play myself. Adapting my empire as more of the map is revealed, reacting to the AI, and just general planning on what my focuses should be is something I struggle with. Early game when some plans fall through, or failing to take advantage of inspirations/eurekas, balancing when to pump settlers with when to build up infrastructure can be just so frustrating that it takes the fun out of everything.

    • @wafercrackerjack880
      @wafercrackerjack880 2 роки тому

      You might be overthinking it, and that's why you can't adapt emotionally with plans that are not getting thru. Have you ever played it up to the end even though your plans did not pan out? I only started really getting good after 400 hours in but those 400 hours were absolutely fun as I just played and enjoyed it and did what I felt was right while learning from my mistakes and eventually got good. And that's also without any guide from youtube, with Civ 6 as my first civilization game too.
      TLDR; just play it and learn from your mistakes, don't get too emotional. It's just a game.
      Now I only play Deity and most of the time I win, meaning in the early game I already know if I am going to win or not.
