Amen!!! Luv the review!!! What people don’t consider is with a harness if you don’t have load lifters/safety leg sterups your gonna pool blood in legs and kill you without hitting the ground. Where this style, keep less slack in tether and it’s safer in my opinion. Great review!!! Have 20yr old rock harness been using it this way the whole time.
good video on tree safety. normal hunter safety harnesses will be problem if you actually have a fall because the harness attachment point will be above your head which will make for a difficult self rescue. i’ve been using a rock climbing harness for this reason for over ten years now. having the attachment point at waist level resolves this issue.
Looking forward to mine coming on Monday. Wish i knew about the discount code. Been using these style harnesses for years. Hang in one of these styles and a standard harness and you will see the difference.
I see you went over them but I also have seen it asked a lot, why did they go with plastic buckles over the smaller metal buckles? and what are the breaking strength for the plastic buckles?
@@TheSouthernObsession because metal was extra weight that was not needed. If you watch the video I go over that they are not there for safety. They are literally just there to hold the straps in place for comfort.
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors yea that's what I was thinking just wanted to see, like I said it's been asked multiple times even when people are told it's not load bearing or for saftey, always come back with "yea but why not just go with metal buckles instead" my biggest thing was weight and cost would go up with metal buckles and wouldn't serve any added purpose or benefit! Thanks for the reply! Great video as always

Outstanding job bud!
@@public_land_outdoorsman thank you
Pretty similar to my dryad drey minus the saddle hammock portion and it’s been really nice.

Hey, what size harness did you get? I’m a 36 in pant and wanted to make sure I ordered the weight size.
Every single time I go onto their website, they never have the sizes that I need!!!
Clifton what are you connecting it to. I mean what strap is on tree that you clip into? Are you tetherd into it? Or just a safety rope?
@@tinfoiltim7593 it’s a tether
What I like is the easy way you can take a coat on or off if needed
Do you think it's doable for one sticking? Or would it be too uncomfortable when making a move and putting all your weight in the harness?
I think it depends on the person I sit in my like a saddle with no issues however a bigger fella might not agree lol
Great review. Which stand is that in the video? Cold world or retrograde painted or something new coming?
@@masonoertli4099 you’ll see in January 🤣😂🤣🫣🫣🫣

Reccomended tether?
Do you have a video with a lineman’s rope?
@@drewcatron344 negative however the linesman rope holes on this are the same as any safety harness or saddle
