Dapper coloration. If this is in California I've seen these before I've actually had one or 2 that came to my feeder. Slightly longer leaner and less aggressive hummingbird then some of the others that have visited. Seems really super special to attract them like that and have them eat from your hand and sit on the finger. I think the younger ones are more apt to feed like this.
Very nice, but please feed them with a flower or use a button feeder which you can buy on ebay. Very dangerous if they get their feathers wet with nectar. Will cause them to fall out as make it so the bird cannot fly nor regulate their body heat. I say this from knowledge of a professional hummingbird rehabber.
Gorgeous hummingbird on the man's gentle finger..... Wow, just look at the ruby throat! And the sound of a hummingbird's wings reminded me of an airplane on the runway just getting ready to take off! I never heard anything like it!
