I'm slightly confused, since he owns 98% of the island how are traffic laws upheld without his discretion? For instance you own a 20 acre plot of land, you don't need a license to drive on it as it's private property, even if I posted a sign that says "Speed Limit 10MPH" I don't have to follow that and a cop isn't legally able to enforce that, considering it's private property... And I highly doubt this is on the 2% of land he doesn't own.... Can anyone explain?

It’s not a true private island. Imagine buying every house on the street. Technically you own the street but if you were going over the speed limit on that street a cop could pull you over and ticket you.

What integrity this officer has shown! He deserves recognition. This is the standard we need - treating everyone equally, no bribes, no special favors. He didn't receive any special treatment, proving that wealth can't buy everything, not even favors from an officer in uniform.

The only thing that's embarrassing is you not understanding the Freedom of Information Act prevents them from NOT releasing the video when it's requested. And this is absolutely a good thing because it allows for transparency and makes cover ups harder. How many times have we seen cops say one thing in their reports and then their bodycam released later show otherwise? Now imagine if, like you suggest, they had the ability to not release that footage. They would keep getting away with false reports.
