I’ve always known about her books but never bothered to read them and now I stumbled on this talk and raced over to my library to pick up a few of her writings. What an awesome talk!
Great to hear Julia Cameron’s voice and see her animated! I have been doing The Artist’s Way since, I believe, 1998. I do remember getting myself that book for Christmas. I started the morning pages. Life just hasn’t been the same since. I am still doing morning pages, artist’s dates, and daily walks. I am Catholic also, like Julia and Madonna, Melinda Gates, and Carlos Slim Helu. Please know I honor the Goddess and Sacred Sexuality, also! Thank God for me! St. Hildegaard Von Bingen, thank you for informing my music! JC and I foiled a possible scammer together! Good has resulted.

Hi can someone be so kind to explain the joke/saying at the end? “The woohwoo is where it’s at.” Thank you! ( from a non native speaker.)
Woo-woo is a shorthand way of saying supernatural, I believe it's a play on the "sound" a ghost makes (or someone pretending to be a ghost, you know, draped in a white sheet going oooooooooooohhhhhh). That's my explanation anyway!!! Woo-woo for ghost = non-material, the unseen, the other realms beyond our five senses.
Spirituality has nothing to do with creativity
I went to a seminar Julia had at The New Center in NYC. It was about creativity and your connection to God. She asked how many musicians were in the room and how many were not playing their instruments? 80 percent of the room raised their hand, including me. She told us if we revive our connection to our God we'll return to playing music, our love. She gave us many questions to think and write about. We broke up into small groups and started sharing our thoughts with each other. After a full day of thinking, writing and sharing, I returned to my home in the country. Within two weeks I was thinking of playing my piano again. My African Grey Parrot sitting in her cage on my deck overheard me touching some piano keys. He sang out "Yippee, Hurray, Woohoo!" I realized how much I, and my family of animals, were missing my piano music. I began to play again. Julia was right...get your connection with your Higher Power right!!! Love you, Julia! You're brilliant!

If only the person doing the intro had remembered to turn off her mic. That amplified cackle & hyper-animated responses were terribly annoying for my broken brain. I made it to the end & am grateful for the talk but was, sadly, so distracted.
It really was annoying. It was hard to not pay attention to it.
Now would be a great time for the audio to be adjusted & enhanced to promote focus upon Julia’s voice. Drop the Intro and fade the MC’s laughter mic. Soften Julia’s airway captures & repost this. The world needs it. Thanks.

I’m crying listening to this. I was lost in this world and on a Greyhound bus and an old man told me I was meant to go to Taos New Mexico. I always wondered that maybe he was just, you know, kinda crazy.
So I didn’t go. Then in my thirties I was on a Greyhound and, I swear it was the same old man, told me again, “You need to go to Taos”! I couldn’t believe it, maybe I was going crazy. Again…I didn’t go.
Now I’m sitting in a tiny house in Tennessee that’s literally falling down around me and I hear THIS. I wish I’d listened to that old man. Maybe he was Jesus, or an Angel. But I should have gone to Taos.

💖We know that God exists through creation: nature, animals, human beings (their biological functioning, their beauty, their laws, etc.), wisdom, creativity... everything was designed, created and formed by God.
Whoever reads this, pray to the Father (God) in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and ask that He be your Lord and Savior.🕊

Why does she call God Almighty “the creative force”? She is confusing saying “dear God in Heaven” but talking about Him as just a “Higher power”. He seeks personal relationship. So what is this “Us/we” that she writes prayers to. She does not mention “Jesus”? I was told she is a Christian. I do not think she is. Quite disappointed. Do not know as a Christian whether I can trust this now.
