If you will travel by air then you must book with discover Qatar... which is non refundable but if you are travelling by road you can make booking with booking.com ( dumy)

Hello, yes it's very safe to travel and you can travel by road but Qatar is closing all visitors visa from November 1, 2022 but I believe that you can get visa on arrival.

Transit visa only for 10 hours then for coming back you need an other Transit visa.. for Qatar you need pre approval

You can go by car but minimum 3 person in the car and 5 nights confirmed booking for hotel and 5,200 Qatari Riyal car permit which not refundable
