Me too, but no smallies here in Florida. I ran into those in N.C. and Tennessee, and was hooked. Pound for pound, much better runs than large mouth.

All these accuracy haters. The kids are just having a blast and blowing them up! Do you not remember being a kid and catching any decent fish felt like the biggest and was really exciting? This is where it began for most of us. Treating it like a tournament and demanding accuracy is a bit of a joke. Don't be such try-hards.

lol, when i was a kid, we all had our little black zebco scales, which were always a pound or two off. but we didn't care. 10 pound carp or 12 pound carp? didn't really matter, lol. the fun was in the fighting, not the weighing.

Great video guys, you had a heck of a pile of nice smallies there. I haven't had a day ike that in years. I like near a few small rivers like that in northeast iowa , I have a hard time getting to the good spots now, an auto accident leftme paralyzed 15 years ago but it don't keep me from trying.

take ant size stick bait (senko-style sinking) and use a drop shothook to hook it right through the middle its that simple, just toss it to cover and let it sink, as it slowly sink the ends will wiggle ever so slightly, when it gets to the bottom pull it back up and do it all over again. the bite will almost always come on the sink

BTW the guy named Luke with the stupid comment about "no fish you caught weighed no more than 2#" is a dope to say something like that and has obviously not caught very many smallmouth over 15" long. As they grow longer they really put on the weight. He's obviously jealous.

Here's a tip for if a fish gets hooked really deep in the throat: Go in through the gills with a pair of needle nose pliers and rotate the hook out. It's not really related to this video, just saying.

Gotta love fightin them smallies in rivers or creeks especially. I would way rather catch a 5 pound smallie then a 5 pound largemouth. Smallies fight so much harder. I actually caught a 6 pound largemouth and I also caught a 3 pound smallie and the smallie fought harder.
