Yess AOA!!! I think a lot of kpop stans nowadays don't know how big AOA was during their time but they were HUGE. They were releasing multiple hits and everyone knew their songs. Even if they weren't the TOP girl group like SNSD or 2NE1, they were still very well known and loved by the general public. The whole scandal is really complicated so I'm not gonna go in-depth with the details,.I just hope it doesn't stop new fans to appreciate their music and legacy as a group. Definetly would love more AOA!
Your favorite member is Choa! If you like her voice here, you would be thrilled to hear "primary - don't be shy" where she is the vocalist! Both the song and the mv are great
Heart Attack era was when AOA peaked in my opinion. Definitely check out more songs! My recommendations: Good Luck, Excuse Me, Bing Bing, Bingle Bangle, Come See Me 👍 The controversies where just a huge misunderstanding in my view, nothing really to be concerned with about those...
@@switch5994 omg me too, a SONE that loved AOA's songs! AOA was the it girl group at that time with Sistar! Sadly their end started at Good Luck with endless of controveries. But all their songs are such bops!
AOA always been included in my A-list in kpop because of how catchy and good their title tracks and even their b-side where their vocals really stood out if you listen to it. My fave would always be Short Hair. I just love how their vocal line Choa, Yuna and Hyejeong sounded so strong and good in that song. Lastly, AOA is one of the reason why my standard in visual is so peculiar due to Hyejeong, who's the visual member but got a lead vocal skills that is so rare in kpop groups.
Forget the controversy. It belongs in the past. Too many people were commenting without knowing the full story and made it much worse than it had to be. It would be a tragedy to let this blip in time overshadow AOA's amazing 7+ year legacy. In addition to the other videos that have been mentioned here, I would add "Confused", which is an underrated song. Also, AOA has a ton of great unpromoted B sides that really show off their vocal abilities more so than their hits often did. Thanks for this great and fun reaction vid, and thank you for flying with AOA Airlines.
I'm crying 😭I miss them so much. They were definitely legends of their time. If they were active, they would dominate the industry again. AOA gave kpop iconic songs but kpop didn't deserve AOA. My queens, I love you so much. You're always the best for me over the years👑👑👑👑😭💜
When AOA debuted Heechul said they had an almost unfair advantage as they were all so beautiful and of course hot. He became a big fan for a time, as did just about everyone else. Between AOA, SISTAR, Girl's Day and a few others, things got very hot and steamy from 2013 to 2015. I was onboard from their debut with the band version, AOA Black, which made sense as FNC had previously debuted boy bands F.T. Island and CN Blue. Choa is to me the perfect idol. She did everything extremely well and looked amazing doing it. Miniskirts zipper choreo was so hot it was banned. Like a Cat's chorus and dance went viral. Seolhyun became a huge CF Queen. They had it all and peaked with Heart Attack, but unfortunately it didn't end well.
Short Hair is my favorite song of theirs, I found out about it through the Produce48 cover. I think for Mini Skirt they basically just made it as sexy as possible to get all the buzz, and it worked (they were previously a band and not very popular afaik). I also miss the 2nd gen MVs with all their little storylines. Now we have like, "lore" where all MVs are meant to be part of some big vague storyline, but something about the little silly stories per video is so nostalgic.
The blonde short hair's name is Choa. She's the main vocalist and I'll say one of the most powerful vocalists in kpop. She's the second one to depart from the group (first one was Youkyung, the group's drummer. Yes, a drummer. AOA also has a live band sub-unit called AOA Black, and Choa was the main vocals/rhythm guitar) because depression and insomnia. She left the group in 2017 and got totally out of radar up until 2020 when she resurfaced and came back as a solo artist. You got to check some of her performances out there🔥
I miss this AOA so much omg the feels lol. I think you would really like their duel comebacks "Excuse Me" and "BingBing". They honestly make nothing but bops and they're imo one of the most iconic sexy girl groups from back in the day.
Omg these four probably are my favs songs from them... I really liked what they released and their concept... I wish we had some groups like this nowadays
I love AOA and I’m happy you reacted to them❤️❤️❤️ honestly it’s so sad what happened to them, the girls were so passionate about the group that they renewed their contracts even when they weren’t doing well as a group, after queendom they gained their popularity again so they back being active but then it’s all stopped because of the controversies. Ironically now people are on their side but they already halted their group activities. i feel bad for the members, they suffered a lot and get so much hate when it’s proved wrong a year later 💔 they had many hit songs❤️🔥 all of the songs you reacted to are iconic. the member you liked is choa and yes she’s an amazing vocalist 🔥 they had slow songs in their albums “still falls the rain” one of my fav besides along with “tears falling”😢 and they had songs as a band ofc cause they’re from FNC 😂
god AOA has some absolute gold pop songs. I ran almost every day to Heart Attack on the treadmill during my gym time and it ended up being like my 4th most played song of 2020. And it still holds up, Heart Attack is perfection. I’m so psyched you looked into them more!!
Like A Cat has always been my fav of theirs. There's just somehting about that song i absolutely love. I would suggest doing Good Luck and Come See Me if you ever do another reaction. ChoA is the blonde and she actually recently had a release called Yesterday I would suggest checking out. Her voice is amazing as you think it is.
AOA😭thank you for reacting to them,i miss them so bad...they are one of the sexiest kpop idol that time,i stan mamamoo and dreamcatcher now but eventhough i stan other idol AOA will always be in my heart🥺😌💗💗💗💗
ChoA is the member that you said you really liked, she was my bias in AOA and was definitely one of the most popular amongst the group. She’s a fantastic vocalist and I’d recommend you check out her solo work if you want to hear more of her vocal capability.
I think for our next throw back Thursday you should do Vixx. They are a third generation group, tall handsome men and their music is so good, but Leo and Ravi are mine
AOA built a standard in Kpop that other groups to this day are trying to reach without them realizing it. If you just put aside all the issues they're in, you're just watching and listening to an amazing group that a lot of kpop fans are missing out.
You're not wrong. Brave Brothers produced for a ton of groups (mainly girls) during the late 00s-early 2010s. SISTAR, After School, Girl's Day and AOA were some of the most notable.
I love AOA. They were my ult group (still are, despite the controversies). As others have mentioned, they started out with a Band-type concept, and their early performances sometimes had just the band members performing and sometimes had the idol members (all except the drummer, basically) performing. Their drummer had no interest in the "idol" side of the group, so she was considered a "half angel." After the group got big while she was on hiatus, there was never really an opportunity to formally bring her back and she left the group after a year or two. The member you kept pointing out was the Main Vocalist, ChoA. She took a break from being an idol for a few years to work on her mental health, but has recently come back with a new song called "Yesterday." It is more of an accoustic ballad, so you can really get to hear her vocals. I recommend it! She also has a song she did with Primary and Iron called Don't Be Shy. As far as the controversies go, the truth is probably a lot more complex than we, as the public, really can know/understand. I have gotten to the point that I can enjoy listening to their music again and occasionally suggesting their songs on K-Ville's patron videos. I still have a hard time suggesting them for individual reactors because of the possibility of people getting aggressive in the comments either for or against particular members and there are still a lot of strong opinions. Maybe this video could be a start, however, and I think the way you handled it was best (acknowledging the controversy, but focusing on the music/videos without it). The lyrics of miniskirt are along the lines of a woman in a stale relationship telling her boyfriend "when I get dressed up, everyone turns and looks at me. Why don't you look at me the same way, anymore?" Short hair's lyrics are basically about a woman, sometime after a breakup, deciding she's almost ready to put herself out there again, and deciding to get a new hairstyle to signify a renewed confidence and readiness to date again. Like a Cat is about using catlike movements and attitudes in order to entice a new lover. And for Heart Attack, well, you had the lyrics there, but it's about having a new crush. Probably my favorite MV is Get Out, their first comeback. A big part of that, however, is how many times I watched it in order to learn the different members. The MV has the concept of each of them taking the part of an iconic character from a famous movie (Legally Blonde, Romeo and Juliet, Harry Potter, and The Fifth Element, among others). I also enjoy a lot of the B-sides. Most of the tracks, especially the title tracks, tend to focus, vocally, on just a few members. AOA has some of the most lopsided part distributions out there. There are a few B-sides where the other members get a chance to shine a little bit (but not enough, imho). They also have a few Japanese releases that I really enjoyed.
If you liked ChoA, the blondie, you should check out "AOA BLACK - Moya", "PRIMARY ft. ChoA - Don't Be Shy", and her last solo song, "ChoA - Yesterday".
The blonde girl is called Choa, if you want to see more of her amazing voice, I’d recommend watching some of her solo songs: Flame, Here I Am (OST she did which is just beautiful), Yesterday (Recent solo song she released after her hiatus)
Blonde short hair is Choa. She is the main vocalist and was the biggest stan attractor in AOA before her departure from the group. She was my top bias too🙃
They are part of the groups that had sexy concept without it being too much, AOA is like an elegant sexy music and they are ICONIC, thank you for reaction to them 🤩
I LOVE AOA OMG 😭😭 as an elvis I've always wanted reactors to watch aoa but it seems no one have done it esp since all the controversies but these girls are so good all their singles were bops and choreos were iconic too. thank u sm sir austin for giving them the chance they deserved! more ppl should know about aoa and their legacy
Miniskirt put them in the map. Like A Cat cemented their name and Heart Attack hit it out of the park. I'm still shock it didn't won them more trophies and awards.
Because they are competing still to 2nd gen idols who's also in their peak of career at that time thats why AOA i would say one of the lucky groups who got recognize despite how active big 3 groups, kara, sistar, 4minute & girls day.
The early of 2014 was iconic with the sexy concept wave. This time got some masters like: Miniskirt - Aoa, Something - Girl’s Day, B.B.B (big baby baby) - Dal Shabet, Marionette - Stellar
You should check out ChoA (the girl you pointed out)'s collab with the producer Primary- Don't Be Shy. It really highlights how unique the colour of her voice is
PLEASEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Check out Stellar! They have put out some of my favorite KPOP of all time. The MVs are really...uh, controversial and they've kinda mentally scarred the members so I wouldn't suggest a reaction but please give them a listen in your spare time! Crying and Sting are the only two that would be friendly enough for YT MV wise. But Marionette, Vibrato (my favorite!!!) and Mask are all also worth a listen. LOVE YOUR REACTIONS! Just realized YT unsubbed me from you AGAIN. UGH
5:06 back then in 2014 when i watched for thw first time this mv i was exactly the same, i mean CHOA YOU GOTTA AING GIRL!! I knew she was my bias since then.
aoa is amazing and have a lot of great b-sides, they're my fave girl group, always have been and i dont think it'll ever change. everyone's already given u a lot of info so im just gonna add cos i dont think anyone has, u asked for slower songs to check out their vocals, a few of my fave slower songs by them are: under the street lights, tears falling, 10 seconds, aoa black - without you :)
I love aoa. My fav are excuse me and heart attack. Brave brother really give them good song. I was hoping same vibe song to brave girls, but I guess we cant have all the best
I'm a year and a half late to your video but just caught up on your stuff. Just gotta say AOA hooked me 11 years ago, as a 21 yr old guy, into K-pop and the hold has remained ever since. I'll forever love this group and love newer reactions to them.
the girl with short blonde hair is Choa she left the group in 2017 and took a break from the industry but she recently returned with a solo and appeared on the show double trouble( i highly recommended this show btw it has idols from the 2,3, and 4th generation and they have to team up to remake a song hyolyn and minzy from 2ne1 are on it as well)
Omg I really wish you'd reacted to their songs elvis and moya too! They are a shockingly different mood and such bops with awesome vocals. Maybe not on camera, but do check them out!

waiting for kara and girls day as 2 of my favourite 2nd gens
FYI Heart Attack was released at the same time as Sistar’s SHAKE IT. I remember the war in music shows, both of them dominated music show wins.
Imagine getting bops at the same timeee 🔥🔥 lots happen in 2nd gen 😂😂
omg you just reminded me of that video on music bank? when sistar ate aoa up lmao...
it was the peak of AOA popularity, knets just loved fan wars and comparing them. while sistar was criticized for their age and looks AOA was only pointed has pretty girls that were bad at singing. Pure misogyny and I hope people could stop whit this thing it's been literally ages, sistar disbanded and aoa is on the oblivion
I even miss the wars of old generation fans. I wish AOA and Sistar would come back
I'm not crying !!!
Being an Elvis for nearly 8 years , I really can't express my feeling in few sentences after watching this video. Thank you for reacting .
Unlike you, I was NEVER an Elvis fan. Searching for something non-Elvis is kind of how I found k-pop in the first place!
Jimin on her prime was SPICY SEXY. like the bob hair was so iconic on her with the healthy body! i'll never forgive KNETZ for making her feel like she's ugly. And as for Mina, i'll let karma talk to her.
she is poor, jobless and not even her family care about her. she already got what she deserves
what is the truth after all i’m still confused
@@gerardosanchez6592 mina has bpd im pretty sure and made up a lot of shit, which is why the other members never called jimin out for it bc they were equally as confused when mina came out w/ everything
hard to blame her sine bpd is v difficult thing to live with but u can only use that as an excuse so much :(
omg you are like the first person to make a reaction to AOA after the scandal
As a SONE, I can say AOA was sooooo popular !!! Everyone will be waiting everytime when they do comeback announcement.
I miss AOA😭
You're always the best for me over the years👑👑👑👑😭💜
YASSSS AOA. one of our sexy concepts icons.
" Wow" is the proper reaction, when seeing Choa for the first time.
I'm glad you decided to give AOA a chance despite what happened, because AOA's songs are so catchy and iconic, indeed.
Choa (the blonde) is an AMAZING singer! I LOVE HER!
I'M SO GLAD YOU DID THIS. I loved AOA so much. AOA and Miss A just dominated for me back then
Short Hair is my favorite song of theirs, I found out about it through the Produce48 cover.
CHOA THE BLONDE QUEEN!!!! AOA LOVELY STILL IN 2022
AOA performed Miniskirt on Queendom too, it's one their most iconic performances ever! I hope you can react to it 😊
Yes please!
You got to check some of her performances out there🔥
Why nobody talks about get out is my favorite song. And the choreo is a masterpiece
I think you should react Stellar, is one of the Kpop girls groups sexiest ever
AOA became one of my ult in 2019 their songs are incredible, I love their discography and yes you should watch queendom !
I miss this AOA so much omg the feels lol. I think you would really like their duel comebacks "Excuse Me" and "BingBing". They honestly make nothing but bops and they're imo one of the most iconic sexy girl groups from back in the day.
Choa has her own UA-cam channel!! You should definitely check it out! She sings ballads there.
Omg these four probably are my favs songs from them... I really liked what they released and their concept... I wish we had some groups like this nowadays
MY QUEENS!!!!!! AOA are still the only girl group I’ve ever loved 💕💕💕
OMG I love AOA, they really were one of my favorite girl groups.
PLEASE Orange Caramel next! You gonna love them, their MVs are hilarious
your wish/request came true
I'm glad more and more people are reacting to AOA again, thank you! :3
Please do EXID next, l.i.e, night rather than day, ddd, every night, all bops
2NE1 got me into Kpop back in 2011... AOA and EXID kept me here...
Ironically now people are on their side but they already halted their group activities. i feel bad for the members, they suffered a lot and get so much hate when it’s proved wrong a year later 💔
they had many hit songs❤️🔥 all of the songs you reacted to are iconic. the member you liked is choa and yes she’s an amazing vocalist 🔥 they had slow songs in their albums “still falls the rain” one of my fav besides along with “tears falling”😢 and they had songs as a band ofc cause they’re from FNC 😂
god AOA has some absolute gold pop songs.
3:30 AOA members left to right:
Mina, Yuna, Seolhyun, Hyejeong, Chanmi, Jimin and Choa. This was the lineup until 2017.
They also have 2 sub-units, AOA Black with Jimin, Choa, Yuna, Mina and Youkyung (the drummer), and AOA Cream with Yuna, Hyejeong and Chanmi 😊
Excuse me and Bing Bing are a MUST when reacting to AOA! Please check them out along with Confused (for vocals) and Good Luck for a fun summery bop!!!
AOA😭thank you for reacting to them,i miss them so bad...they are one of the sexiest kpop idol that time,i stan mamamoo and dreamcatcher now but eventhough i stan other idol AOA will always be in my heart🥺😌💗💗💗💗
Current Members:
Hyejeong (2012-present) Vocalist, Dancer, Visual
Seolhyun (2012-present) Vocalist, Dancer, Visual
Chanmi (2012-present) Dancer, Rapper, Vocalist, Maknae
Former Members:
Youkyung (2012-2016) Drummer (Reason: She wasn't needed as the half band/half idol concept failed)
Choa (2012-2017) Vocalist (Mental Health Issues)
Mina (2012-2019) Vocalist, Rapper (Mental Health Issues)
Jimin (2012-2020) Leader, Rapper, Vocalist (Scandal caused by member Mina)
Yuna (2012-2021) (Contract expired, didn't renew)
ChoA is the member that you said you really liked, she was my bias in AOA and was definitely one of the most popular amongst the group. She’s a fantastic vocalist and I’d recommend you check out her solo work if you want to hear more of her vocal capability.
The short blonde hair girl is ChoA and she is my favorite too.. she make a comeback with •Yesterday• last month.
AOA was my first group to fall in love with. And Choa being my ult bias since then.
Thank you so much for giving us this video.
I think for our next throw back Thursday you should do Vixx. They are a third generation group, tall handsome men and their music is so good, but Leo and Ravi are mine
vixx debuted in 2012 which makes them 3rd gen
@@real.pubgmobile omg thank you I forget
Yes please react VIXX they are super talented🙌👍🏻🔥🔥🔥
@@real.pubgmobile more like 2.5 gen lol
I think Ravi now belongs to Wheein. lol ;)
Why don't you look at me the same way, anymore?"
Short hair's lyrics are basically about a woman, sometime after a breakup, deciding she's almost ready to put herself out there again, and deciding to get a new hairstyle to signify a renewed confidence and readiness to date again.
The blonde girl is called Choa, if you want to see more of her amazing voice, I’d recommend watching some of her solo songs:
Flame, Here I Am (OST she did which is just beautiful), Yesterday (Recent solo song she released after her hiatus)
AOA has a unique style ... I love them and their songs so much
so happy u did a reaction to them
Blonde short hair is Choa. She is the main vocalist and was the biggest stan attractor in AOA before her departure from the group. She was my top bias too🙃
HEY! HEY! is their signature adlib
I miss AOA...they were one of my fave female groups..their songs were my style
thanks for the reacting. Heart attack is my favorite too.
choa is everybody’s favorite
They are part of the groups that had sexy concept without it being too much, AOA is like an elegant sexy music and they are ICONIC, thank you for reaction to them 🤩
i. hope you keep reacting to AOA they're amazing and Choa and Yuna are amazing vocalists!!
You need to listen to Short Hair Acoustic version! Choa’s voice there is magical!!
Confused and Come see me are slower. I thibk come see me one of the most underrated song in kpop lol
you should check their song Confused! it has a bit more of vocals and a good rap verse, also iconic sexy choreo
UGH
Miniskirt and Short Hair are BOP
5:06 back then in 2014 when i watched for thw first time this mv i was exactly the same, i mean CHOA YOU GOTTA AING GIRL!! I knew she was my bias since then.
I reccomend Excuse Me and Good Luck, Choa always slay
this reaction made me miss AOA so much
aoa is amazing and have a lot of great b-sides, they're my fave girl group, always have been and i dont think it'll ever change. everyone's already given u a lot of info so im just gonna add cos i dont think anyone has, u asked for slower songs to check out their vocals, a few of my fave slower songs by them are: under the street lights, tears falling, 10 seconds, aoa black - without you :)
Also yes, Choa will always have blonde hair (mostly short) in their music videos. Idk how she managed that for all those years
AOA has soooo many good music. So sad the group ended like that
I love aoa. My fav are excuse me and heart attack. Brave brother really give them good song. I was hoping same vibe song to brave girls, but I guess we cant have all the best
You can react their Queendom final stage, it's really iconic. Also, their Good luck is also a summer bop( and mamamoo cover this song in queendom)
I'm a year and a half late to your video but just caught up on your stuff. Just gotta say AOA hooked me 11 years ago, as a 21 yr old guy, into K-pop and the hold has remained ever since. I'll forever love this group and love newer reactions to them.
you should also react to their song EXCUSE ME because that song is iconic
i’ve been waiting for this video for the longest time !!!
Heart Attack was THE moment when it was released, seriously.
Yey! AOA! 💖 Heart Attack and Bingle Bangle is my fave AOA songs ~
Don't look up "Every AOA MV but with only Jimin's Heys" Blonde is Choa
If you want to check out their band side (AOA Black), I want to recommend you Get Out and Moya.
I would highly recommend 'Confused', that song is kinda slow and incredible. One of my fave.
the girl with short blonde hair is Choa she left the group in 2017 and took a break from the industry but she recently returned with a solo and appeared on the show double trouble( i highly recommended this show btw it has idols from the 2,3, and 4th generation and they have to team up to remake a song hyolyn and minzy from 2ne1 are on it as well)
AOA is one of the groups that i preffer the lives than mvs, only like a cat and heart attack are the besties, i love they outfits too
Omg I really wish you'd reacted to their songs elvis and moya too! They are a shockingly different mood and such bops with awesome vocals. Maybe not on camera, but do check them out!
i still ult choa till this day!! such a sweet and talented woman
You can also check out their song "Confused". It's in the same level as Miniskirt, for me.
Try to listen to their B side especially in the Short hair album you can listen to their beautiful angelic voices
